Comrades Who Should Know Better

When the series "To Embrace Hebrew Roots," was posted in 1999, many ministries that were exposed removed any referenced articles from their web sites. Some from so-called Discernment ministries (we never heard of such a thing before 1997) such as Ed Tarkowski, Tricia Tillin and Andrew Gould removed all anti-HRM reports from their websites at that time, with Tarkowski and Tillin issuing public apologies/statements to such HRM promoters as Peter Michas.

In fact, while still advertising her Articles: Hebraic Roots Movement on the Banner website, Mrs. Tillin still has none of the related pages accessible, at the time of this writing. To our knowledge their various public apologies or support of Mr. Michas has never been rescinded.

According to email sent to us, Mr. Prasch removed articles, links, fired several staff and totally revamped his organization and web sites, denying he ever supported Hebrew Roots. 2 Rather, he supported "Hebrew Root" or "getting back to our Jewish roots", which is no different than the goal of the Fourth Wave or the Messianic movement.

Denying he was ever involved with any deceivers, he then has stated to us, " Moriel withdrew its financial support for the humanitarian work of Nehemiah Trust [Uri Marcus] due to connections with Peter Michas." 3 Uri Marcus is brother to and promotes the writings of Kabbalist, Avi ben Mordechai, mentioned in each article in the series “To Embrace Hebrew Roots.". While Jacob Prasch declared that Peter Michas was a heretic in his February 2000 Newsletter, a year previously he had a hotlink to Messengers of Messiah, endorsed and called Peter, “Christ-centered and doctrinally sound,” and “warmly deserving” of our support. 4

Not so the others Jacob works with and indeed even speaks with on the same platform. For example, Sarah and Lynn Leslie of the Christian Conscience continue to promote Peter Michas and his teachings. Despite this, Tricia Tillin of Banner Ministries (Cross +Word) asserts that "NO discernment ministry "promotes" the particular heresies connected to the Hebrew Roots Movement" 5 and defends herself and various friends.

Further, while Jacob Prasch 6 and many in the "Discernment ministries" and their associates, have in the past declared Rick Joyner and his associates false prophets/teachers, we know Mr. Joyner is united with those who support and indeed stand in agreement in the Messianic arena. That is, the MJAA leadership and supporters discussed in such articles as The Lausanne Consultation on Jewish Evangelism, Ecumenical Jews, Evangelicals, Charismatics & Catholics Together and other articles listed in the section "Hebrew Roots, Messianic & Other Ecumenical Connections.

Update: Rick Joyner has since spoken against the Hebrew Roots movement.

Why have these same Christian "comrades” and Discernment ministries never shown the connections of Rick Joyner with the Hebrew Roots and the Messianic Movement or the Hebrew Roots ecumenical foundations? Jacob has listed the ones he has declared to be, “valid discernment ministries to alert the church and give understanding to the many.” 7

Why are each supporting the very people and ministries that uphold Joyner, the World Christian Movement or the ecumenical Messianic Movement?

There is no middle ground here. Those who endorse and support Rick Joyner are either guilty of promoting false doctrine or are deceived and therefore need to be rebuked.

Either Rick Joyner is like Peter Michas, Bob Jones and all the others proclaimed to be false teachers or false prophets, or he’s not. This is not "agreeing to disagree", and "working alongside" or, as Tricia Tillin states,

"... the cordial relations that people of differing beliefs or convictions still maintain, despite their conflicting viewpoints. That argues for godly behaviour, rather than a satanic conspiracy... On the contrary, although we may not always agree with one another we do not set out to knife each other in the back..." 8

Tricia Tillin wrote a diatribe that proclaimed that any discussion or evaluation of her ministry, Jacob Prasch's and any others they associate with, promote or have declared as "God-given," to be an unwarranted and hate-filled attack.

Nonsense!

Her words would appear to be intended to nullify any research that would expose the facts, like the information in the following articles. [Bolding & emphasis in original]

"... Now that she's putting a stumbling block in the path of those whom God loves and cares for, I HAVE to respond. It's difficult enough to survive in this minefield that is the Church, with the guilt of not submitting to abusive authorities, with the pain of losing friends, with the confusion of not knowing exactly who to trust anymore, and with terrible pressures on all sides to accept deception from Toronto et al, without having to deal with suspicions about the very people whom God has sent to HELP you!!" 9

If we follow a person rather than acknowledging the truth in a matter, what and who are we becoming a servant to?

If someone declares they stand against something and yet facts reveal they stand in agreement with that very issue--what does that say?

"Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became servants of righteousness." Romans 6:16-18

Some Strange Friends

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.” Matthew 7:15

Moriel's revamped Links include Ariel, Jews for Jesus, Chosen People, Calvary Chapel International and Jerusalem, Jewel van der Merwe (an ordained AOG minister), Banner Ministries, David Wilkerson and so on. Some were mentioned previously, and some are revealed to have various ties to British Israelism, Hebrew Roots occultism, that is, the Kabbalah and various other connections.

Mr. Prasch stated in his February 2000 Newsletter, that the Ecumenical movement is a rebirth to Babylon:

“…I have no doubt that the Ecumenical movement is a prelude to the rebirth of Babylon The Great in Revelation and that deceptions like Pensecola are preludes to the Great Apostacy of Thessalonians…” 10

That statement would indicate that Jacob Prasch would have no ties to or involvement with those in the Ecumenical movement. However, all is not as some would have us believe.
