Michael
Rood: Dad &
Early
Church Communications
Timothy 3:
4 -5
One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)
By the end of 1995 Michael
John Rood had
moved to Two Harbors Minnesota. He then launched Early Church Communications in a vacant building in
downtown Two Harbors, Minnesota in 1997. Michael was to maintain the
building in exchange for staying there for little or no rent.
In May 1998, former Way members, Richard and Linda Fike,
joined him from San Antonio Texas. Linda and Richard introduced themselves to
local residents as ministers, and were, according to
eyewitnesses, lured to Two Harbors
with the promises of jobs and making money.
They remained until the end of 1999.
1998 was
not a year of the promised prosperity for Michael Rood, as that was
the year his former wife Sara Myers sued him for not paying
the required child support. My heart aches for the broken and
hurt lives that accompanies broken homes. By then, according to public
record, he owed over $11,000 towards care for his four
daughters. But, he was busy building his "ministry,"
practicing being a Levite and being Torah Observant.
Titus 3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
2 Peter 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
According to Public
records, while occasionally paying the court required per month child
support, Michael was taken to court in 1998, by then
owing over $11,000 for failure to pay the child support, with interest accumulating at a rate of
12% per annum.
Michael
Rood also has had a Federal Tax Lien against
him of over $70,000, which had been assessed for the periods
ending 1985-1987, and was processed on 1991. That was when he
was in The Way International. A secondary Federal tax
lien was also filed against Michael and Sara, but it
was paid by 1996. The other liens and unpaid child support
appear to be still owing, although that cannot be confirmed.
A
telephone conversation with Ken Vargas, spokesman for the
Internal Revenue Service (IRS), disclosed the following. Mr.
Vargas, stated unless Michael Rood gave permission, they
cannot give actual status of his tax lien. Tax liens stay in
place for ten years and are filed to protect the government's
interest. To have issued a tax lien means that the IRS
tried contacting the individual by letter, by phone, etc and
the party was uncooperative, etc. The tax lien never goes away.
Even if an individual has no assets and no property, the
status of the lien is "delinquent."
Even if the IRS lost track of
someone like Michael Rood, when he eventually files for Social
Security, what is called a Federal Offset is put in place. If
they haven't paid their taxes or child support, a garnishee is
placed on the individuals Federal Social Security, with
calculations based on taxes + interest + penalties...it adds
up.
Matthew 22:21b ... Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
Ken Vargas said even if a
person declared bankruptcy, the Federal Tax Lien is never eliminated. Some
liens the IRS may just write off, knowing they will
never get anything from the delinquent individual. But, the penalty is 25% of the
original liability plus an annual compounding interest rate
--calculated 4 times per year--roughly about 7% compounded,
meaning it doubles the amount real fast. And since all US
citizens are required to file a tax return showing all sources
of income, even if they are in another country....
2 Peter
2:13-16
13 Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
16 As free, and not using your liberty
Texas State
apparently takes a very dim view of what they term, Child
Support Evaders, although others prefer the term,
"Dead Beat Dads." It's
unclear if the divorce, unpaid child support for his four
daughters, the unpaid taxes, are some of the things Michael Rood says he
repented of in his 2003 biography. Except, he supposedly
repented in that story in 1996, just after the divorce
was finalized
and the federal tax liens appear to still be unpaid. That claimed repentance certainly would not explain his not paying his bills
to the government and most certainly does not include his
failure to support and take care of his family. If he had
repented of that in 1996, his former wife would not have had to take
him to court in 1998 for the unpaid child support. It's really
no wonder Michael Rood wants people to tithe to him. God does
not contradict Himself.
1 Timothy
5:8
But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Early
Church Communications
In Robert Wadsworth's online Newsletter,
Michael Roods friend and Moon observer Bruce Brill, often quoted in Michaels
information, presented a letter in the December
1998/January 1999 edition in which he stated he had asked Wadsworth to
generate calendars from the past. The Newsletter goes on, with Wadsworth
stating,
"...Early Church Communications recently set up a website with the express
purpose to proclaim the sighting of the first crescent light of the new moon
each month. Witnesses in and around Jerusalem will be sighting the new moon
each month. When the witnesses confer and confirm the first sighting of the
new moon, it will then be posted on the site. The site's URL is:
http://www.angelfire.com/nm/hebrewcalendar
This site is temporary and a more sophisticated site is now in
construction. We hope to have a recording of a live shofar blowing from
Jerusalem on the site for all the new moon sightings from Nisan 1 to Tishri 1.
I thank Michael Rood for all of his endeavors to bring this to pass. Michael
travailed to Jerusalem in October with the main purpose of finding new moon
observers. In his prayers, Michael asked the Lord to bring him into contact
with observers. The first day that he was in Jerusalem, Michael went to a harp
shop where the first person that he ran into was Bruce Brill. Our God is
awesome.
....SEMINARS IN JANUARY...
TBN, FEDERAL WAY - Richard Rives, Michael Rood, and Bob Wadsworth will be
doing a special 2-hour live interview at Trinity Broadcast, Federal Way,
Washington on January 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The interview will be
broadcast throughout the Pacific Northwest. Richard Rives is the author of the
book "Too Long in the Sun" and is also the curator of the Ron Wyatt
Museum. Michael Rood teaches on the Hebrew Roots of Christianity and the
significance of God's appointed feast days in their relevance to the second
appearing of Yahshuah.
TACOMA - Richard Rives, Michael Rood and Bob
Wadsworth will be holding a
seminar on Biblical Archaeology, Biblical Astronomy, and much more, at
Dightman's Bible Bookstore in Tacoma, Washington from 7:00 p.m to 10:00 p.m on
January 20 and 21. [1999]
GIG HARBOR - Richard Rives, Michael Rood and Bob
Wadsworth will be holding
a seminar on January 22-24, at Gig Harbor, WA.
For further details and directions concerning engagements from January 19
to 24, please call Jamie Louis at 253-759-3828 or 253-472-9125." 1
After a discussion did not resolve
questions concerning the founding of Early Church Communications, a query was
sent by
email to Robert Wadsworth. His response answers some questions about his relationship to
Michael Rood and gives a better timeline of events:
"I started the Biblical Astronomy newsletters in
July 1996. I met Michael Rood in 1995, but only briefly at a seminar we
both attended. I later met Michael in 1996 while I was on tour with the
Prophecy Club. He came to the meeting where I was teaching in
Minnesota. We kept in touch via phone and both worked on correcting
the Hebrew Calendar, which we both had a mutual interest in. Early
Church Communications was founded by Michael, I believe, in early
1997. I was not one of the founders, nor did I belong to it, but
worked with Michael on projects concerning the calendar, more or less as an
independent advisor. I met Richard Rives in 1998 while doing seminars with
him and Michael in the Pacific Northwest. I never met Richard Fike in
person, though I believe I spoke with him on the phone on a few occasions
when I was passing some information on to Michael, or vice-versa. I do not
have a board of directors (at least not in the worldly sense). Biblical
Astronomy consists entirely of the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and
myself. " 2
When asked what the seminar was that he and Michael Rood attended in 1995,
Robert Wadsworth responded Friday March 14, 2003, stating it was, "Exercising Your
Spiritual Authority" by Dale Sides of Liberating Ministries for Christ
International.
That seminar seemed to be
the launching pad for Wadworth's website, Rood's book, Mystery
of Iniquity, and launching his "ministry" and many
other ventures. It was attended just after Michael Rood's
divorce was finalized.
"The seminar was titled "Exercising Your
Spiritual Authority" by Dale Sides of Liberating Ministries for Christ
International. I studied Biblical Astronomy since 1976.
Between 1971 and 1974, I was on the road, in the desert (Mojave), and in
the mountains (Adirondac, Shenandoah) experiencing the ways and learning
the heart of Yahueh through His son Yahshuah of Nazerth. I
enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1974. After bootcamp I
was stationed at Headquarters Command for the 4th Marine Aircraft Wing, New
Orleans, LA. I went to college full time for one year while in the Marine
Corps. While in the Marine Corps, I became involved in the
ministry "The Way International". It was there where I
first came across the book "The Witness of the Stars" by E.W.
Bullinger, which spured my interest in Biblical Astronomy. I left the
Marine Corps, after receiving an honorable discharge, in 1978. I went
back to upstate New York to spend some time with family. In
1979 I went to Oregon for a one year outreach program through "The
Way". I came back to Oregon to get married and to continue my
education. I studied Astronomy, Astrophysics, Geology, Geopraphy,
History, Chemistry, Physics, Calculus, Arabic, Phiosophy, and Political Science
in three different colleges (including the one in New Orleans). I received
a Bachelor of Science degree from Portland State University. I left
"The Way International" in 1986. I worked as a Radiographer from
1984 to 1992 in the aerospace industry. That industry had a sharp decline
in the early 90's. I went back to college in 1992 to sharpen my knowledge
and skills in English and Computer Science. In July 1993, as I was in
the fruit and nut section at a Safeway Store, I all of a sudden got a great urge
to purchase an issue of Astronomy magazine (Aug. 1993 issue). In that
issue were listed major celestial events for the next 20 years. In reading
the article, I saw that many of the events were similar to the events that
occurred during the birth of Messiah. After a few weeks of investigation I
became real excited. I did not expect to see such events in the heavens
for some time to come, since I previously believed that Messiah would not return
until 2021 or 2028. (I now think it will be 2040). But at that
time I was very excited. It was the motherload for a Biblical Astronomer.
I purchased a computer and astronomy software and continued my studies. I
wrote research papers on the subject, and one reached Dale Sides (mentioned
above). I hadn't met Dale (except by phone), but he made many copies of
the research paper that I had done, and passed them around. I first met
Dale Sides at the above seminar in Olympia, Washington, which was the main
reason I went to the seminar. There were others who were interested in my
work who were also at that seminar, including the co-author (Dan Stockemer, then
living in San Jose, CA) of my book "A Voice Crying in the
Heavens"., Bo and Stanley Reahard from Atlanta, GA (where I had my
first seminar in May 1996 at the university planatarium; Bo has also been the
webmaster for the Biblical Astronomy Website since the autumn of 1996). I
had also been in contact many times with Bo and Stanley via phone previous
to the seminar. Michael Rood was also at the seminar (we spoke briefly) as
well as Jamie Louis, though there was no connection between Michael and Jamie at
that time. Also at the seminar was Kathy Miller, who was a printer, and
who later printed the first edition of "A Voice Crying in the
Heavens." I learned later that it was at that seminar that Michael
first got inspiration to write his book "The Abomination of
Desolation". He started writing out ideas for the book in his cabin
while at the seminar. That was one powerful seminar. I have since
been working exclusively with Biblical Astronomy. It is a full time job.
It is something that I love to do and it is what Yahueh and Yahshuah has
put into my heart to do..." 3

or

It needs to be understood that Michael Rood works alongside or
has worked closely with "former Way
members" including: Richard and Linda Fike, Robert Wadsworth, Bo and
Stanley Reahard, Bob Schlenker, Dale Sides, Jamie Louis, Dan Stockemer,
(Wadsworth's co-author), Greg and Rita Schuck, who helped Jamie Louis, and others. In
December 2006, Jamie Louis went into business with Dan Stockemer.
As noted in Michael
John Rood: Messianic Karaite Rabbi, the Schuck's
are Michael Rood's and Jamie Louis's Way International friends,
who moved from Way false theology, into Rood's "messianic"
and anti-Christian church theology, to fully rejecting Jesus
Christ and the New Testament. They are now members of "Torah
Observant Israel" and are listed in that Directory.

Due to the 2007 controversial
breakup of A Rood Awakening Ministries, the organization was
split into two groups. One held by Jamie Louis in the original A
Rood Awakening! Ministries Oregon office, and one held by
Michael Rood and some new staff. Michael Rood launched a new
corporation in Michigan, where his new office is, called A Rood
Awakening! Ministries International. Two new websites were
launched by the Rood camp, one called reallyrood.com in
competition with the original aroodawakening.tv,
unroododespertar.tv and aroodawakening.com, all of which
have since been shut down. The new michaelroodministries.com was
launched in direct competition to the original michaelrood.com,
which has been shutdown. Jamie Louis also included in his
Ya'akovlevi site the name of a new business called Torah to the
Nations, based in Oregon. On December 14, 2007, Michael Rood's
Michigan attorney's filed lawsuit against Jamie Louis. For more

Dale Sides
Dr. Dale M. Sides, who has
also taught and promoted Momentus, along with John Lynn and Bo Reahard, is the
President of Liberating Ministries for Christ
International. His biography reveals he graduated The Way College of
Biblical Research in 1979, the same year that Michael Rood graduated as
part of 7th Corps.
LMCI Founder
Dr. Dale M. Sides is an
internationally recognized non-denominational minister and the founder and
president of Liberating Ministries for Christ International, a para-church
ministry that was incorporated in February of 1992 and is located in Bedford,
Virginia. He has been actively ministering for almost 30 years. Dale graduated
from North Carolina State University in 1973, studied at The Way College of
Biblical Research from 1976-1979, and received his Doctorate of Theology
in Religious Education from Andersonville Baptist Seminary in Camilla, Georgia
in 2000.
...The seminar that Dale Sides
is most noted for is Exercising Spiritual Authority (ESA). ESA
is unique in that it offers practical instruction concerning the spiritual
authority God has given to every Christian believer. It is highly celebrated
for its success in leading people into an understanding and operation of the
nine evidences of Holy Spirit, giving particular emphasis on each individual
manifesting "gifts of healing" as operated by revelation. ESA has
been presented throughout the United States, as well as in Europe, Africa,
Asia and South America for various denominational and non-denominational
churches.
Dale’s influence and
impact on pastoral training and unity among ministries is widely recognized in
Southern India. He received an honorary doctorate from a consortium of
ministers in Southern India for his teachings and contribution to evangelism
there. His classes on Ministerial Functions and Church Government have been
great tools for the advancement of Christ’s church. Journeys to Kenya and
Nigeria in Africa and Columbia in South America have further expanded the
reach and impact of his ministry. By training ministers to teach spiritual
authority, Dale has enabled many more people to share in Exercising Spiritual
Authority around the world.
Dale and Vicki Sides reside
in Bedford, Virginia with their children. They attend church locally with Lion
of Judah Ministries, where Dale is among the founding Elders. The church
provides accountability and his spiritual covering..." 4
Dale Sides' "Doctorate of
Theology in Religious Education from Andersonville Baptist Seminary in Camilla,
Georgia in 2000", is obtained from a Degree mill which is accredited from
an accreditation mill. He never stated he and his wife left the Way, nor
that he was in it before 1976, and continued well after 1979, as seen on various
forums. The Andersonville Theological
Seminary, which shows no faculty, states in their 'accreditation article':
Andersonville Theological
Seminary is accredited by the Accrediting
Commission International (ACI), located in Beebe, Arkansas.
...ACI,
which is listed in the Higher Education Directory in Falls Church, Virginia,
stresses that the primary concern of their agency is to insure academic
quality. ATS is also accredited by the American Accrediting Association
of Theological Institutions, Inc. in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and by
the Eastern Accrediting
Association of Christian Schools
in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
ATS is on the list of Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)
Recognized College programs. For more information call 1-800-525-1611." 5
According to Steve Levicoff in
his former online book, Name
It and Frame It, the same accreditation source listed for Dale Sides
'college', is itself a degree and accreditation mill.
"Accreditation mills
have only one purpose: to communicate an air of credibility to degree mills.
Witness, for example, the claims of the American Accrediting Association of
Theological Institutions, Inc., of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, which
charges degree mills only a $100.00 application fee and a $75.00 annual
renewal fee to gain their "accreditation." The president of
A.A.A.T.I. is Cecil Johnson ("D.D., D.R.E., Lit.D., Th.D.,
Ph.D."), who is also the president of Christian Bible College in Rocky
Mount (a degree mill listed in Chapter 12). Johnson proclaims in his
association's marketing letter:
After
your school is accredited by A.A.A.T.I. for anyone who wishes to check on your
status please have them call [our number] daily between 10 & 12 noon. We
prefer to talk with individual [sic] personally rather than write to them.
Please do not give our address to any individual, only other schools who are
interested in being accredited. Accreditation is between the school and the
association" . . .
"The basic information we give out
is that your school is in good standing with A.A.A.T.I. We do not recommend
any school, only lend credibility to those accredited by A.A.A.T.I." 6
Update June 11, 2007
"Andersonville Theological
Seminary" As of 2005, it is affiliated with the Association
for Biblical Higher Education
http://www.andersonvilleseminary.com/pdf/info.pdf
.."As of August, 2005,
Andersonville Theological Seminary has become an
affliated institution of the Association for Biblical
Higher Education of Orlando, Florida. Being an affiliate of
ABHE, which is recognized by the US Department of Education,
allows Andersonville Theological Seminary opportunities to
observe and potentially work toward accreditation in the
future. ATS is included on the ABHE web site and in the
2006-2007 edition of the ABHE Directory.
ATS is accredited by the American Accrediting Association
of Theological Institutions, Inc. in Rocky Mount, North
Carolina..."" end quote bolding added
From the
Association for Biblical Higher Education :
http://www.abhe.org/PDF%20Files/Affiliate%20Brochure.pdf
"...The primary focus of the
Association for Biblical Higher Education is accreditation,
but nonmember institutions may also relate to
the Association through an affiliate status.
This affords affiliate institutions the opportunity to take
advantage of many of the programs and services that the
Association provides without becoming an accredited
member..." end quote bolding added
It is still listing
accreditation from the above mentioned "American Accrediting Association of
Theological Institutions, Inc., of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, which
charges degree mills only a $100.00 application fee and a
$75.00 annual renewal.."
END UPDATE
The accreditation for Dale Sides 'college'
where he obtained his 'doctorate' referenced the following for validation it was
solid. But again we see they are deceptive organizations and associated with Cecil
Johnson, mentioned above.
CHRISTIAN BIBLE COLLEGE
Station Square Suite 227
Rocky Mount, North Carolina 27804
(919) 442-1211
The president of Christian Bible College, Cecil Johnson, lists his credentials as the "D.D.;
D.R.E.; Lit.D.; Th.D.; Ph.D." With all of these doctorates either there's
something fishy here, or he's been in school longer than most of us have been
alive. The school claims accreditation by the Eastern
Accrediting Association of Colleges, Universities, and Seminaries; the
American Accrediting Association of Theological Institutions (of
which, conveniently enough, the executive director is also Cecil Johnson);
and the Southern Accrediting Association of Christian Schools, none of
which are legitimate agencies. They operate under a standard exemption
that frees them from state licensure. Their 12-page brochure includes an
endorsement from evangelist Jack Van Impe ("LL.D.; D.D.; Th.D.;
Ph.D."), which shows that even the endorsement of well-known persons in
ministry don't attest to the credibility of an institution. ..." 7
http://www.christianbiblecollege.org/page9.html
The accreditation for Dale Sides 'college
where he obtained his 'doctorate" also referenced the following, but, again we
see it is a worthless organization.
Chapter 4:
"....a
school probably is a degree mill if it is
unaccredited by a legitimate agency but purports to be
accredited by an agency that is not recognized by
the U.S. Department of Education or CORPA. In the same way
that there are degree mills, for example, there are also
accreditation mills.
....Eastern
Missouri Business College was, in fact, part of a sting
operation designed to expose accreditation and degree
mills operating in Missouri. With the establishment of the
school, state Attorney General William L. Webster said,
"The college handbook we fabricated was purposely
made to be so outrageous that even a minimal review would
have raised serious questions about the school's
authenticity."[1]
The result? Dr.
George S. Reuter, Jr., founder and president of the
International Accrediting Commission, visited the
college's one-room "campus" for a review.
According to Assistant Attorney General Vieth, "We
rented an office for a day. We got some office furniture -
about four or five desks. We even had a faculty meeting so
everybody could get their stories straight for the
accrediting interview. But it wasn't necessary; he didn't
ask any questions. Reuter didn't ask to see our financial
records or our student records."[2]
Reuter, who
holds a traditional doctorate in education from the
University of Missouri, was slapped with a $15,000 fine
and an injunction that enjoined the International
Accrediting Commission from further operations. Reuter
decided not to fight the fine or the injunction, as he was
about to retire and close the agency anyway. (However, in
1992, Reuter was named president of International Bible
College and Seminary in Independence, Missouri, a degree
mill listed in Chapter 12.)
End of story?
Not at all.
"After Reuter
retired, he transferred his agency to John Scheel, who crossed the state line
to Beebe, Arkansas, and began
operations under a new name, Accrediting Commission International for
Schools, Colleges, and Theological Seminaries. The
"commission" continues to accredit degree mills throughout the
nation, many of which falsely purport to be legitimate Christian
schools."
"....Accreditation
mills have only one purpose: to communicate an air of
credibility to degree mills..." 8
If the
quote, "International Bible
College and Seminary in Independence, Missouri, a degree
mill..." seems familiar, that is the same source for
David Hargis's false Doctorate, and where David Hargis "Set
up entire academic curriculum and courses of study for
Biblical Communications degrees" at International
Bible College and Seminary / DeSoto, Missouri,"
in 1986-1987. He was part of this
totally unaccredited
organization. It means he gave himself his own Doctorate
in Biblical Communications. It also means he was one of the
"staff" of this degree mill that was dispensing the
worthless degrees, very
clearly showing a pattern of activities.
For more on David
Hargis, see "A

It should be noted that the
accreditation mill, Accrediting Commission International for
Schools, Colleges, and Theological Seminaries, that is mentioned above is the same accreditation mill that
accredited Patriot
University, another degree mill noted in Name it and Frame It. It also
lists no faculty. http://www.patriotuniversity.com/index.html
Michael
Rood's friend, head of Your Arms to Israel, "Rabbi/Rav/Marshall/
Moshe/Yoseph/Joseph/Koniuchowski/Koniuchowsky" states in his

"1987, Moshe completed a
Masters in Bible Missions in an extension program through Patriot University,
a fully accredited Bible school in Colorado Springs, Colorado."
[yourarmstoisrael.org/misc/yati/?page=meet_the_rabbi]
Steve
Levicoff, notes that the accreditation for Patriot University comes from Cecil
Johnson's accreditation mill and degree mill and states in chapter twelve:
PATRIOT UNIVERSITY
6915 Palmer Park Boulevard
Colorado Springs, Colorado 80915
(719) 597-7512
"Claiming to be a ministry of Hilltop Baptist Church, the college charges
between $15 and $32 per credit and offers degrees through the doctoral level.
Their catalog contains no information on the school's faculty or their
credentials. Patriot claims accreditation by the American Accrediting
Association of Theological Institutions (see Chapter 3), an accrediting mill
associated with Christian Bible College in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
Advertises or has advertised in Pulpit Helps." 9

We find that 'former Way
member' John Lynn and associates also attended Dale Sides
seminar, which gives more of an appearance of a gathering of
"former Way members who still uphold Way doctrine,"
rather than those who have left it. In Mr. Lynn's CES Timeline, we see the following events,
including his association with Peter Wagner's Global Harvest
Ministries as well.
"1988 june----"Christian

Schoenheit. The initial Board of Directors included Robert, Ralph, John, Sue and
Tom. The CES office was in John Lynn’s house...."
"1995 [?]----John Lynn
attended Dale Sides’ class on "Exercising Your Spiritual Authority"
and Dale was a guest minister at the Indianapolis weekend. Though we recognized
the validity of his ministry, we ended our association with him in 1996 because
of doctrinal disagreements
2000.....In July, Karen
Anne attended a conference hosted by Global Harvest Ministries and the C. Peter
Wagner Leadership Institute.
In September, the annual
Leadership Conference was held in Indianapolis, and marked a new direction for CES .
Interim committees were established to explore new ways of structuring CES
and organizing our outreach more strategically.
In October, Mark &
Anita Graeser attended an Advanced Deliverance Seminar hosted by Global Harvest
Ministries dealing with discerning of spirits and deliverance from demonic
oppression...." 11

Way Corps will be held in Dayton, Ohio on August 16-17, 1997 to celebrate the
graduation on August 17, 1972...contact Bo Reahard" 12
The
1972 First Way Corp class was Wierwilles first graduating class of his Way Corps program and Bo
Reahard was a Way clergy. The Way Corps was the elite group from which most Way leaders
were/are drawn. In 1981, Corps members paid $4,300 a year for four years to attend the unaccredited Way
College of Emporia, a school that combined rigorous physical and
survival training with Wierwille's interpretation of the Bible.
The Believers Directory listed on the Atlb shows before and after pictures of
the graduating class.
In the General Information, http://www.atlbible.org/general.htm is:
"
Programs: Momentus, One Accord and other outreaches as the Lord leads."
- Other Church contacts: Bo
& Stanley Reahard
- Bo was a member of the First
Way Corps and Stanley was a member of the Third
Momentus was one of the programs
developed by The Way splinter groups. It is really just an revamping of Way
doctrine. Dr. John Juedes offered articles to explain Momentus in, The Way Tree Is Splintering""
"MOMENTUS-- Behind the Scenes"
Ex-Wayers have become heavily involved in
"Momentus Trainings." What are the roots and practices of this
encounter-group? Is it wise for Christians to be involved? Link to our Momentus
section for a list of articles.

John Lynn wrote an open letter
to Way members in 1988, after being fired from The Way International in
1987 and stated,
"....You say you don't know what
"The Passing of a Patriarch" is about, that you haven't read our
letter, or heard Chris Geer's tape. Well then, how about John
Schoenheit's paper showing from the Bible that adultery is sin (not a
shock to most people)? Because of it, he was fired from the Research
Department of The Way. Shortly thereafter, four clergy, Bo Reahard,
Franklin Smith, Bob Mirabito and Dennis Hickman, were also fired for their
"involvement" with the paper, and told they'd never run anything
more than a Twig again..." http://www.swiftlynx.com/beyondTheWayInternational/;
http://www.swiftlynx.com/beyondTheWayInternational/Adultery.htm
In the Review
of "Overview of Events," Dr. John Juedes gives account of Bo
Reahard being fired by TWI and the resulting activities.
"...The focus was a paper on adultery by John Schoenheit, who at the
time was on the research team. The paper was a very simple, relatively brief
description of basic Bible teaching on adultery, showing that adultery is
serious sin in every administration (dispensation). (See the review of this
paper for more details on the content.) Lynn notes that the trustees and Geer
did their best to bury the paper. The trustees fired Schoenheit for writing
the paper. They fired Bo Reahard, Franklin Smith, Dennis Hickman and others
for their involvement with the paper, or just for reading it...
"....TWI then fired Lynn along with others. Soon many of the ex-Way
leaders were launching their own research and teaching groups-- Lynn,
Schoenheit and others founded Christian Educational Services and Bo and
Stanley Reahard began Atlanta Bible Fellowship. Many other organizations
followed, all having essentially the same teachings, organization, goals and
methods as TWI. While they fiercely defend their work as completely different
from TWI, it is apparent to outsiders how very much like TWI they are in most
every important aspect. This was especially obvious in the early years when
they produced classes that were virtually clones of Power for Abundant
Living..." http://www.empirenet.com/~messiah7/rvw_overviewev.htm
Bo Reahard sold his business and moved to
Florida by January 2000. News of his poor health after leaving Atlanta Bible Fellowship appeared to
cause concern for Bob Wadsworth, as shown in his May 2002 Newsletter, as Reahard
is his Biblical Astronomy webmaster.
... Photographs taken during the April 14 observation, which include Michael
Rood and Nehemia Gordon ...
The postal version of the March/April newsletter was finished and sent out
on March 20, in time for those who keep up with the feast days to know when
Passover/Feast of Unleavened Bread occurred according to the Biblically
corrected calendar. Due to illness that befell Bo Reahard, who is the
Webmaster of the Biblical Astronomy website, the online version of the
newsletter did not get posted until early April. Bo is doing much better
now, but please keep him in your prayers. Without Bo Reahard, the
Biblical Astronomy website would most likely not exist, at least not in its
present form. I owe him many thanks and much gratitude to say the least."
13
Keep in mind, Robert Wadsworth works directly
with Michael Rood on his calendar, posts the New Moon sightings and presents his own, also false,
prophecies. All are connected with Way theology. Having moved to Florida, Ralph
"Bo" Reahard now has another website, in which he eloquently and perhaps slightly overstates his work experience with
The Way,
"1972-1984
The Way International
New Knoxville, Ohio
Director of International Operations/MIS Director
Served as Director of Eastern Region (U.S.) from 1972-74 and as Director of
Western Region (U.S.) from 1974-75. Promoted to Director of U.S. Operations in
1975, accountable for all organizational activities encompassing 2,000
volunteers throughout the United States. Along with primary duties, served as
Comptroller, responsible for creating and implementing the accounting system
for three college campuses.
Promoted to the position of Director of International Operations in 1979,
responsible for overseeing the efforts of more than 10,000 participants in
home-based fellowships world-wide. Traveled extensively throughout Europe,
Russia, South America, Central America, Australia, New Zealand, and the
Philippines.
Also served as MIS Director from 1972-84, managing 25 MIS professionals in
the operation of an IBM System 38 shop. Spearheaded all software development
with 15 programmers.
Results:
Successfully developed and implemented an overall information
architecture
Managed 25 MIS professionals and an annual budget of 750K"
14
It should be noted that Mr. Reahard neglected to mention he was part of the
First Way Corps in 1971, which was then first graduating class of Wierwilles Corp
groups in 1972, and was a Way clergy who was fired from the Way in 1987, although
the implication in the resume is that he left voluntarily in 1984.
Birds of a Feather
Amos 3:3
Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
Atlanta Bible Fellowship
also sponsors the site to End
Time News, which are the writings of Colin Deal, pastor or
former pastor of Gethsemane Baptist Church. 15
Colin Deal is best
remembered for his published false prophecy---"Christ
Returns by 1988: 101 Reasons Why" by Colin Deal... p.158, "Christ will
return bodily to the earth or in the air for the Church by 1988."
When that
event did not occur, Deal then wrote,
"The Day and the Hour That Jesus Will Return" (NP: 1989).
From a critique found in, "Part
X SOME ACTIVE FALSE PROPHETS", written by the late "Ray Waugh,
Sr.1915-1995, from his "Why
All Church-Age Endtime Prophets are False":
Colin Deal:
....Sometime during the month of July,
1992, my preacher son who pastors in South Texas shared with me a book that
someone had sent him unsolicited. The title of that book is, "The Day
And Hour Jesus Will Return." It is written by one Colin Deal. Some of
the dramatic publicity that accompanied the book indicates that the book is by
a "National Best-Selling Author," though I have not seen his name in
any of the regular reviews of the "National Best-Selling Authors."
According to one of the pages in the back of this 153 page book, he also has
an "End-Time News Monthly Letter," that is put out in
"Rutherford College, North Carolina." By the publicity that
accompanies it, we are led to suppose that it is, "Evangelical,
Inter-Denominational, and Pre-Millennial."
Included with the book was a colorful
brochure headlined, "God's Judgment Day Is Near."
Perhaps the most important aspect of this brochure is the message that it
conveys as to what the message of the book allegedly contains. If one reads
the book with some care, it will be discovered that on "October 28, 1992,
Jesus is Coming Again." One to whom I showed the brochure very wisely
noted, "If He comes, He probably will not come on October 28, 1992."
I would be inclined to agree with my friend. Later, I learned that some of the
Christians in Korea who took this man and one of their own whom we have
referenced elsewhere seriously sold their homes, businesses, and awaited the
end on October the 28th there in the Land of Chosen. I knew that Land before
it was industrialized in those very dark days of "United Nation's Police
Action." Tragically, some of the deluded ones then went on and took their
own lives, and it was necessary for the government to bring in the troops to
break-up the cult with some suicide proclivities.
As we said earlier, we continue to say,
"All who indulge in endtime prophecies for The Church Age are false
prophets"! Since October 28, 1992, has come and gone, we can know
that Colin Deal is just another one of the false prophets..." 16.
Colin Deal
and Robert Wadsworth have been involved in speaking together
at Prophecy Club sponsored "End Time Seminar's" as
shown in the archives of Wadsworth's Biblical Astronomy
Newsletter. For example:

I will be presenting Prophecy in the Light of Biblical
Astronomy at the following seminars sponsored by the Prophecy Club.
The Prophecy
Club also promoted Wadsworth's false teachings, in their
Video section:
Prophecies
in the Stars
Bob Wadsworth
Bob shows
how the comet Hyakutake portrayed the near return of Jesus, how the comet
Hale-Bopp portrayed the soon return of Jesus and the invasion of Israel, and
the tribulation. Although the projected dates proved to be incorrect, the
prophecies in the stars portray future events that will take place.

People
seem to think that prophesying is like getting a bicycle
without training wheels. Amidst all the falls, eventually you
might get it right and be able to actually ride. Some people
seem to like it that way.
God
however, states very clearly...Isaiah 30:
9 That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of the LORD:
10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:
Jeremiah 5:31 The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?
Jeremiah 14:14 Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.
