Life is the Melody, He is the Song
by Victoria Dillen

Life is like a melody

It has an ebb and flow

Each melody has a different beat

Each song to help us grow

The melody can be like

The running of cold raging rivers

Like rushing water

Like the roaring of rapids churning down narrow ravines

Plunging, charging, sharp treacherous rocks

Plummeting down perilous slick canyon walls

Keeping time to a furious, frenetic, frantic beat

The melody can be like

The drifting of kitten soft clouds

Like fluffy pillows

Like the puffy white fluffs dotting warm blue skies

Roaming over quiet realms

Float silently, gliding in graceful delight

Keeping time to a serenely pleasant, breathtaking beat

The melody can be like

The spreading inferno of a wild fire

Like the driving wind

Like the glowing embers igniting dry dead leaves, burning

Blazing, searing hot fire, devouring

Smoking ashes, fiery cinders, consuming charred remains

Keeping time to a violent, stifling, oppressive beat

The melody can be like

The succulence of lush sweet meadows

Like the morning dew

Like the pattering of gentle summer rain

Refreshing tender trickles

Nourishing showers of drenching drops, cool streams

Keeping time to a sprinkling, delightful, exquisite beat

The melody can be like

The drifting sands of windswept deserts

Like stinging nettles

Like the dusty, desolate dunes and lonely, shifting hills

Thirsty, parched, dry, forsaken wasteland

Swirling sand in a drought ridden, barren, burning wilderness

Keeping time to a depressing, despondent, forlorn beat

The melody can be like

The changing currents of the oceans

Like the spraying tide

Like the splashing of the waves upon the beach

Lapping at the sandy shores

Rushing back to shimmering, welcoming seas

Keeping time to a steady, unstoppable, surging beat

The melody can be like

The chaotic clash of wild night storms

Like lightning flashes

Like the thundering crash, bellowing, shrieking, gale winds blow

Menacing skies, dark ominous clouds

Howling, screaming, wailing, electrifying

Keeping time to a riveting, gripping, exploding beat

The melody can be like

The grandeur of magnificent mountains

Like the eagles soar

Like majestic alps, glaciers, towering peaks

Pristine highlands, steep, lofty passes

Beautiful waterfalls, cascading splendor

Keeping time to a moving, glorious, triumphant beat

Life is like a melody

It has an ebb and flow

Each melody has a different beat

Each new song to help us grow

Sunrise gives way to our hymns of thanks

Sunsets compose our refrain

Silent nights record our harmony

Stars declare our songs of praise

Joyfully singing His living Words

Inspired from Christ above

In hope and faith freely resonate

Embrace His melody of love

Life is like a melody

His life

The perfect symphony of song

Col 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Col 2:6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.

Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

Ephesians 5:19-20 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 20. Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

1Co 1:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: 2. A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; 3. A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; 4. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; 5. A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; 6. A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; 7. A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; 8. A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
