Galatians 1:6-10

"I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ."

The web site of Pentecostal Charismatic Theological Inquiry International 1 provides information on the ecumenical activities of the Pentecostals and, specifically, Dr. Robeck. In 1996, Dr Robeck led a team of Pentecostal scholars to dialogue with the World Alliance of Reformed Churches (WARC), initiating a five year International Reformed- Pentecostal Dialogue. 2

The World Council of Churches "continuation committee" included a "respected Pentecostal representative" from the Assemblies of God and a representative from the Roman Catholic Church. (ENI, 9/21/98). The committee's objective is to form a global ecumenical forum.

The Assemblies of God member unofficially involved in the talks at that time was Dr. Cecil M. Robeck, Jr., a Professor of Church History and Ecumenics in the School of Theology at Fuller Theological Seminary. Dr. Robeck reportedly was spearheading the ecumenical movement in Pentecostal circles and had attended many World Council Of Churches discussions.

A series of Conferences beginning in 1986 called, The North American Congress was sponsored by the North American Renewal Service Committee. David Cloud writes he attended one in 1987 and also 1990. According to Cloud,

“…Forty denominations and more than 200 Christian organizations were represented. Of the roughly 65,000 in attendance at these two conferences, more than 50% were Roman Catholic…Roughly 150 of the most influential leaders of the charismatic movement participated--John Wimber, Jane Hansen, Vinson Synan, James Robison [CNP], Bob Mumford, Kenneth Copeland, Carl Richardson, David Mainse, Michael Harper, Michael Scanlan, Marilyn Hickey, Peter Hocken, Charles and Frances Hunter, Anne Gimenez, Oral Roberts' son, Richard, James Brown, Reinhard Bonnke, Demos Shakarian, and at least one hundred more."

The more than 200 organizations which participated in the exhibition area represent some of the most popular and influential within the Pentecostalism--Youth with a Mission, Oral Roberts University, Dayspring International, Full Gospel Business Men International, Strang Communications Company (publishers of Charisma magazine), Women's Aglow Fellowship, to name but a few…"

"In addition to Pentecostals and Charismatics, many of the well-known Evangelical organizations, schools, and leaders were involved in these conferences. Consider just a few: Charles Kraft and Peter Wagner of Fuller Seminary, Floyd McClung (Youth With A Mission), Loren Cunningham, E.V. Hill [CNP], David C. Cook Publishing, Every Home for Christ International, Lausanne Committee for World Evangelization, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, Jews for Jesus, Scripture Press, Thomas Nelson Publishers, U.S. Center for World Mission, World Vision, and Wycliffe Bible Translators…” 22

The Orlando '95 North American Congress on the Holy Spirit and World Evangelization included Pat Robertson [CNP], Benny Hinn, Jack Hayford , Marilyn Hickey, and Paul Crouch. According to Biblical Discernment Ministries, Jack Hayford's church was started in 1969 and it,

“…is now the largest Foursquare Church (Pentecostal) in the U.S.--about 9,000 members (of which about 80% speak in tongues as a prayer language, according to Hayford…Hayford promotes the "four-square" doctrines of Pentecostalism…In a 3/93 Charisma magazine article, Hayford says Foursquare was "one of the first to fully embrace the charismatic movement as being a legitimate movement of the Spirit."…”

“Foursquare teaches physical healing in the atonement, "Spirit-slaying," spiritual warfare/ demon-deliverance, tongues-speaking, signs & wonders evangelism, extra-revelatory prophecy, etc…. Hayford now admits to a more flexible attitude. In his latest book, he also refrains from demanding tongues as a proof of Spirit baptism, and instead presents "spiritual language" as a "divine and desirable provision to assist every believer ..." …(Reported in the 8/17/92 Christianity Today , the 3/15/93 Calvary Contender , and the 3/8/93 Christian News…Hayford spoke at the 1989 Billy Graham/Lausanne II conference with John Wimber, David Yonggi Cho, and Dick Eastman, and has appeared at other ecumenical events such as the 1/92 and 2/94 [and 4/94] Robert Schuller conferences. Hayford also endorsed Schuller's autobiography--Prayer: My Soul's Adventure With God ."

“…In 10/91, Hayford visited Sydney, Australia with John Wimber…to hold a "holiness conference" (a number of Catholic priests also spoke at the conference).... Hayford has taught the "little Gods" heresy himself, specifically in a message first recorded in 1979 (titled "Marching Against Mammon") and rebroadcast on a on a 10/2/86 Living Way radio program. 23

From the 3/93 Praise the Lord newsletter of Paul Crouch, who attends his church: "If and when we finally lay down these petty doctrinal and traditional differences and JOIN TOGETHER as an awesome UNITED body and force, all hell will finally retreat into the abyss, and, together, we will bring back the king! ... When will we realize that the enforcement of Christ's Victory is UP TO US? " [Dominion Now theology]. 24

”Hayford is an endorser/participant in the National Evangelistic Census (NEC), a Kingwood, Texas charismatic/ecumenical ministry to "turn the nation back to God by winning our city to Jesus."…Among other endorsers are the Evangelical Free Church of America, Youth With a Mission, Campus Crusade for Christ, and A.D. 2000 & Beyond Movement, as well as charismatic... John Osteen, John Hagee, Charles and Frances Hunter, Frederick K.C. Price, Morris Cerullo, Marilyn Hickey, Dick Eastman, and Richard Roberts…” 25
