Ever had a loaf off bread with mold on one corner? Cut off the Corner with a good amount of extra and eat the rest. I know many who do this.

That isn't a healthy thing to do. Visible bread mold has already spread its invisible hyphae (fungal "roots") throughout the loaf. If you can see mold on one slice of bread, the mold has established an invisible colony in the rest of the loaf.
I brew beer, which is liquid bread, and around a cup (8 fluid ounces) of yeast in water (leaven) will ferment 15 gallons (1,920 fluid ounces) of malt/water solution into beer.

OHH That is gross and definitely something which I am going to rethink!
