i was going thru the 10th chapter and was wanting to get a clearer picture, especially on the little book and the meanings around it any thoughts?
1. And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
2. And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,

Eze 3:3 And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.
Eze 3:4 And he said unto me, Son of man, go, get thee unto the house of Israel, and speak with my words unto them.
John was also given the Words of the Lord to prophecy...and it must have been difficult to hear and see the things he was required to write and proclaim. We know the whole book of Revelation was from Christ,
Revelation 1:1-3 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: 2. Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw. 3. Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.
So we see after receiving and writing down the first 9 chapters John is again told there's more to come, and it was going to be upsetting to his being. At least that's what I perceive, in that, he received the words as sweet from our Lord, but the significance of what he had to proclaim must have been disturbing to say the least. Just as Daniel was troubled when he was given the prophecies.

so true, it would have been hard to write of these things to come...and to have seen the things to come, would have been even harder
Not only is Ezekiel prophesying the destruction of the temple in 70 AD... as he mentions the desolation many times.... but before that in Revelation 10, the sealing up the book gives us more information regarding Daniel chapter 12... same language used.
