So glad that you have found us here. My Messianic friend once sent me to that very same site that you were on.

It is a shock isn't it when you discover how many people are being taken in by this and sadly the internet seems in my experience to be the place where they have their mission field. So I believe that we too must use the internet to inform Christians of how dangerous this teaching is.

There is a huge amount of information here that will be of use to you especially when communicating with your friend. I have learnt so much in the past few weeks since I joined here. Hopefully you will be able to reach your friend with the truth before they get into the movement too deep.

Thanks for your message. I need to inform many of my Messianic friends. I am not sure where to begin without causing them to be angry. I was involved with Jews For Jesus for a short time after I was saved but they were not as extreme as what I am seeing now. I got involved in it to witness to some of my Jewish friends and their ministry is very conservative compared to a lot of what I see now. I am glad I found this site. I have a lot to read up on. Thanks for your friendship!

Hi, I am responding to the mention of Jews for Jesus
ministry. First of all, I do have respect for that ministry and what
they are trying to accomplish. Nevertheless, there are many
reports out there about people who have served in Jews for
Jesus who feel there has been a definite cultic atmosphere there.
They have a new leader now, so I don't know whether it's improved
or not. There are even some ex Jews for Jesus websites and
books out there. I am not denigrating the ministry; however
out of ignorance combined with zeal, there have been some
definite problems. You may already be aware of all this.

I don't think Jews for Jesus equates with the Messianic Movement,
as you note. They are involved with it but the background of
Jews for Jesus was more Baptist.

I would be careful of joining or getting deeply involved just as I
would with many other groups today..............do due
diligence in research.

It sounds as though your personal experience with them wasn't
too bad?

I never really got to be involved with Jews For Jesus at that time because it was a very new ministry and they were only in San Francisco. Moshe Rosen was founder and he would send literature to me and my Jewish friends and also send some of his ministers to talk to people. Where I live in Rock Island, IL there are really no Messianic Jews that I am aware of.
My involvement with them has been on Facebook. I would like to point them in the right direction but you would not believe how many different types there are. Some even claim to not be Christians? and yet believe in Jesus. It's a very messy conglomeration of beliefs.
Do you know of any writings or videos that I could post on Facebook that would help? Thanks

My name (as you can see) is also Linda. This site is the best resource (IMO) for information on the HRM/Messiainic Judaism. I'm on Facebook also....but hardly ever go there anymore. I used my maiden name on Facebook and all of a sudden, my family came out of the woodwork! However, through my witness and "religious" convictions, my family has "crawled back" into the woodwork.

I have a friend here in Mississippi who calls me "a short little "messed up" Jew" (she can't say "Messianic")....although I don't call myself "Messianic", we get such a laugh out of that statement.


Since my identity is in Christ, I use that dreaded word, which most Messianics refuse to use, "Christian". However, I'm still a bit "messed up"!
