I'm not sure how to answer posts, but I only wanted to say that people who use the sacred names are simpley using the Hebrew names, We may use english names today but the people in biblical times wouldn't know who you are talking to.
There was no J in the hebrew, greek or latin languages . All the words in the Bible starting with a J aren't true names. The J came about in 1500 or there about. YAHWEH never called His people jews they are Hebrew meaning crossing over.
This is an old thread, but interesting.
"El" is a Canaanite deity and shouldn't really be in the Hebrew vocabulary (as it relates to Yhwh). "Ul" is the oldest form for "Mighty one." Ulheem in the plural and meaning (from the KJV #430) angels, exceeding, God (gods)- dess, -ly), (very) great, judges, mighty.
Put this in with what is missing from the discussion, namely the correct rendering of "bara," which is in the third person singular masculine (simple active) past tense, and you have "created he" (personal pronoun not necessary).
Bere'shiyth does not have the definite article (the) and re'shiyth means "first" (in place,time, order, or rank)

So the first sentence of Bere'shiyth can easily read;
(bayt) First created He Ulheem (his counselors of Eph 3:10) aleph-taw (the alphabet) heavens and (et) earth.

This doesn't mean a plurality of his character traits, or a trinity.
Quote:So the first sentence of Bere'shiyth can easily read;
(bayt) First created He Ulheem (his counselors of Eph 3:10) aleph-taw (the alphabet) heavens and (et) earth.

Mrgreens You said it so well, Rose! '

"can easily read" indeed!!! 620
I guess you're using the smily face buttons because you possess not the means to scholarly dispute that interpretation?

If you paid heed to scholars you wouldn't have come up with that mutilation.
