Here is another self important member of Hebrew roots, although he calls
himself a Natzarim and claims to have had an Orthodox conversion to Judaism.

On his website he has this letter posted, claiming it is a "Letter from then-Chief Rabbi Mordekhai Eliyahu Extending His Blessing to Yi•rәmәyâh′ u Bën-Dâ•vid′ (Van Nest's "Hebrew" name):

However what the letter actually says is:

" Office of the Rishon LeZion Chief Rabbi of Israel

B"H, 24 Sivan 5752

To:
Mr. Yirmeyahu ben David (may He watch him and give him life)
Raanana

Peace and blessing!

We have received your letter to his honor the Rishon LeZion Chief Rabbi of Israel, Mordecai Eliyahu (may he have a good long life!) and your words within it.

Your letter has been brought for the perusal of his honor the Rishon LeZion.

I wish you blessing and success.

With blessing and all goodness,

Rabbi Shmuel Zaafrani
Personal Assistant

All this is is a form letter acknowledging that the Chief Rabbi's office has received a letter from Van Nest....nothing more. And look at the date-
you think he could come up with something a little more recent.
A link that gives a better view of this letter of "blessings" from the Chief rabbi:

It is really hard not to laugh at some of the contrived "Hebrew names" the Messyantics give themselves, especially since most real Jewish Rabbis in English-speaking countries have ordinary English/Anglicized names. Sign0069

It takes all kinds doesn't it? Smack

What I read is a general statement from an assistant, not a letter from Rabbi Rishon LeZion himself. The phrase "I wish you blessing and success" and "With blessing and all goodness", are general salutations, not a "blessing" that has been given in a personal way. People just never cease to amaze meTh_smiley_nope

I have read his "testimony" before. He appears to have converted to Orthodox Judaism yet retaining his belief in "Ribi Yәhoshua" aka the "real" Messiah, not the pagan g-d, Jesus Christ. How he can be a part of a Jewish synagogue and openly declare belief in a Messiah that is regarded as false within Judaism is outta here 89 How wacky! 7108

What is even more astounding is that he based his whole "conversion" to Judaism and rejection of Christ on a bird splashing in a bird bath Sign0082

Yeah, well I believe his "conversion" story as much as I believe the "we got your correspondence" form letter is a letter of blessing and acceptance.
Even if he could find some wacky rabbi that would convert him, it wouldn't be a valid conversion anyway.

I've seem him popping up all over the internet defending Van Nest and
promoting their website. Thank G-d I won't have to read his drivel here.
Believe me when I say, it was lengthy, mind numbing, a mess of mixed languages and the same type of junk as what he had in the other thread and he defended his whole website and the whole thing. Bash
