Maranatha,
In our later 40's my wife and I have come here to this valley to wait out the collapse of western civilization, anticipate the rapture and in the meantime to serve our LORD and saviour Jesus Christ as ministers of His grace. Called to serve His people we have drawn along side of a number of local pastors to help equip the saints for evangelism. Our time here is spent mostly with a messianic and a pentecostal congregation... and we are neither. Looking forward to the discussion.
If you are keeping score I am a recovering charismatic with fundamentalist tendencies. My hobbies are dancing in the shadows, tilting at windmills, poking the bear and watchin' the wheels go round and round. Politically, I am very smal c conservative... but I am Canadian ... so that makes me a leftist to my American friends. I have a healthy disrespect for the status quo and I am suspicious of, in no particular order, hierarchies, oligarches and the grassroots. I am a leaky dispensationist ... the sign gifts have not ceased, but nor should they be everywhere, ALLTHETIME!!! Pre-mill, pre-trib and prepared I am!
My hobbies are theology, literature, politics, education and stating the obvious. I prefer to spend time in discussion forums rather than work on my master's project on servant leadership. I have no Hebrew roots, PTL, because I really like shellfish. And I call myself Padre for two reasons. One it drives some people crazy .... you know who you are! And because, while I believe in the priesthood of the individual believer, I identify more with those disreputable priests in Graham Greene's novels.
Still stumblin' heavenward
Padre

I have never read Graham Greene to know if you are a "disreputable priest" .... only time will tell
