I need some help

Whats the best way to approach this - from some apologetics training I am doing I know that they best way to lead a discussion on this is to ask questions and to lead the direction of the conversation through my questions - but I don't know enough yet to be able to challenge this person with their views as this person thinks they are part of Ephraimite.

I take it from reading this that not all Messianic believers believe this?

Is it Messianic non Jewish believers that wish this to be true?

Have you got any links that I can read up on?

Thanks

Hi 4given,

I think you need to hunker down and do some reading before you try to deal with it. You need to know the arguments, the sidestepping attempts around the Scriptures and the pet scriptures and how to refute it successfully. You alos need to know that once a person is into this, depending how far they are into it, they will reject the Christ we know, as being pagan, and also the NT is pagan and/or not authoritative.

Two house or the Ephraimaite movement is very much for gentiles wanting to be Jewish. That's part of the allure because things Jewish must be better aka Hebraic mindset, over the greek or western gentile pagan mentality of Christians--those in North America.

No one has ever answered if those in the east are ok? New Jersey, NY, etc. Mrblue

And the movement lets them be the real Jews, aka because they don't fit in Judaism and they don't fit in Christianity. They are part of the 'lost tribes' mentality, fulfilling prophecies, etc etc. For some it is the ultimate anti-semitism, because they inherit what was for Israel.

Many, not all, are sacred namers, rejecting Jesus for a made up name not found in the Scriptures.

I did a search on my website, and for Two House it returned 32 articles.

For Ephraimite movement there were 3 results. So, you can find different aspects and arguments concerning it as well as refuting it. The info in this thread is helpful also.

If you go into http://www.seekgod.ca/topichr.htm

And scroll down the to series The Spreading Hebrew Roots, you will get an idea how this fringe movement is being brought into all messianic arenas as well as Christian.

Many of the results for Two House will be found in the http://www.seekgod.ca/topichrministries.htm

If I had my HR FAQs article complete I could send that to you. But it's not done yet.

I am just gonna answer a couple of things quick! Not all Messianic believers go for it, but a good share do. Mostly Hebrew Roots and all the main teachers: Eddie Chumney, Michael Rood, James Trimm, Monte Judah, Avi ben Mordechai, TNN [John McKee and Mark Huey], MIA [Angus and Batya Wooten], Marshall Koniuchowsky [YATI - Your Arms to Israel] and a bunch of others.

It's not just Messianic non-Jews that go for the Ephraimite Two House, BritAm out of Israel run by Yair Davidy who is an orthodox Jew also pushes two house. He has some major writings on it which have made their way into Messianic circles and are promoted by some leaders like Eddie Chumney.

I have some information my blog [link is under my siggy at the bottom of this post] - one article in refutation. Just look on the right hand side on the home page or at the top of the page and click on "Two House. At least that gives you a bird's eye view of it.
