God doesn't care if Jews and Christians intermarry, does He? They are different faiths but both worship the God of Israel. I wouldn't marry an unbeliever nor somebody of a nonbiblical religion. I would marry a Jewish guy who had no aversion to marrying a Christian girl.
YYZ are we basing the not marrying an unbeliever on
2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
I am not sure that this refers to marriage specifically although a marriage is a type of yoking.
If I fall in love with someone and the relationship is going well I personally would not end it just because they are an unbeliever.
In regards to a jewish person who does not believe in Christ - I do believe it is an unequal yoke in a way since they do not believe in Christ and that is a massive part of our faith.Even though they believe in the Father as we do, the rest might as well be a foreign religion since the plan that the Father had for them was totally rejected. Thus there is no equal yoke so to speak.
Like I said before though , I personally would not let this put me off someone for relationship or even normal friendship purposes. As long as we both know where we stand and I don't let the other person's views affect or inhibit my beliefs then I'd be totally fine with it.

Thx for posting that verse. I wasn't thinking of it at the time but it certainly fits. I was thinking of all those various men (Samson and Solomon are the most obvious examples) who married/had affairs with Pagan women, with disastrous results. In addition I like discussing the True God of Israel, so I would rather have somebody who has faith in Him. I wasn't sure if God wanted believers of the Biblical faiths to marry nonbelievers, though I have friends of many different faiths. I am glad I have more options. Thank you for setting my mind at ease.
I believe we have to make our decisions based on our relationship and obedience to Christ and the Scriptures. I do believe we can have all manner of relationships/friendships and aquaintances, but, the person we are to marry I believe is to belong to Jesus Christ. Part of it has to do with being unequally yoked if they are not. But there is another issue, and that as a couple, you become one flesh. United in Christ, and one day to stand before Him as one...(can't find the exact verse)
1Co 11:11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
1Co 11:12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
1Co 7:38 So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better.
1Co 7:39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
The very committment of a Christian man and woman is based on the relationship of Christ to the church. Ephesians 5 etc. Therefore to enter into marriage with an unbeliever would undermine those Scriptural truths.
There are issues of couples who come to believe--either one or the other, and what to do in that situation where they were both unsaved when they married.
1Co 7:10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:
1Co 7:11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.
1Co 7:12 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away.
1Co 7:13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him.
1Co 7:14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
1Co 7:15 But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
1Co 7:16 For what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?
1Co 7:17 But as God hath distributed to every man, as the Lord hath called every one, so let him walk. And so ordain I in all churches.
