As I said, I am a watchman to whom the Word of the Lord has come that both the righteous and the wicked may be warned of the coming destruction - the letter should be self explanatory with regard to my theological stance, but ask on brother.

RE: Evangelicals and Catholics Together
“Any church government which challenges Christ’s sole rule over the soul as King, Lord, God, and master, is the enemy of souls. The top Jesuit, Karl Rahner, intently observing what was happening in Protestantism, announced in 1984 that the Protestant churches had now accepted the papal principle of the dominance of the leaders over the conscience of the members. The Society of Jesus have such an intense hierarchy, that they are required to render ‘cadaver obedience’ (also the ‘tomb’ experience of ‘Skull and Bones’ and other secret societies -ed) – to obey as if their own will is dead and only acts at the will of their superior. The training the Jesuits undergo to achieve this hierarchical submission is called ‘Spiritual Formation’, which is based on the The Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus. This training has been implemented widely throughout the Protestant community since the 1980’s and was the impetus for this keen observation by Rahner on the developments in Protestantism which has made it ripe for apostasy.” Cherith Chronicle , Vol.13,No.4, June 2007
“With respect to ecclesiastical leadership the average congregation in the Protestant churches in fact usually practices the kind of obedience to their church leaders that is customary in the Roman Catholic church. Therefore one should not overestimate the danger of a rebellion ‘at the grassroots’ against their ecclesiastical leaders’ decisions regarding unification [with Rome]. On the basis of their theological expertise and their religious conscience, the representatives of ecclesiastical leadership can decide in favor of church unity, and can also work with sufficient zeal among the church members to gain their understanding fort his decision. As always, the presupposition is, of course, that one’s conscience comprehends this unity as a truly binding commandment of Christ, and one is prepared to dare something, the good results of which cannot be foreseen with absolute certainty.” ---Karl Rahner, S.J., and Heinrich Fries, Unity of the Churches: An Actual Possibility, tr. Ruth C.L. Gritsch and Eric W. Gritsch, Philadelphia: Fortress Press 1985, p.54 Cursed be he that doeth the work of the LORD deceitfully, Jeremiah 48:10 Christ is Lord of the Sabbath - Rome challenges you to either stand in her authority or the authority of God |

RE: Evangelicals and Catholics Together
Hi Laslo,
Sorry for the delay in responding. What I meant was perhaps unclear, regarding posting attachments. We prefer text to be used for security reasons. I did not read the attachment you had posted for that reason. I simply deleted it. Having a controversial website and now the forum requires certain steps be taken to protect from viruses etc. Also, when a newbie enters the forum and posts either a lengthy post promoting particular beliefs (often contrary to fact or Scripture) or, as in your case, a document, unfortunately it tends to say spam--some people simply like to post like that and never return. We've had several like that. Hence, the need for caution. I would suggest if you have something to share, you convert your info into text, and either put it into an appropriate thread, or start a new thread, and post your thoughts in smaller posts. Unless it is in fact part of this topic, then it can go here. As you may have noticed I edited your prior posts, downsizing or eliminating the quoted items. Since it was you posting, it seemed unnnecessary to quote, and much easier for me to read in order to comment. Normally a quote or part of a quote is just fine. ![]() Regarding your .doc, and the contents of who you are and a warning, why not post a short testimony in the Introduce yourself section, and that way others will note who you are and can welcome you to the forum. It helps readers and other members get to know you and when you came to Christ, etc. You have some interesting quotes posted. I am sure they will lead to some interesting discussions. There are so many avenues of deception, and different things draw or appeal to individuals and it always comes down to relationship with Christ and obedience to the Scriptires. Too many do not know the Scriptures and therefore are unarmed and unable to discern between good and evil. I am not actually a brother, Laslo, but a sister in the Lord. ![]() You can read a bit about me in this thread http://www.seekgod.ca/forum/showthread.php?tid=5 post #4 It also has links to info about my beliefs on my website and also a link to my testimony. Hope that helps. Vic SeekGod.ca 3John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. |
