RE: Is Easter Pagan?
Quote Sari 83:
I have many Christian friends and attend a local bible study. Many of them are truly godly people and I truly enjoy their company. I acknowledge that I am just an imperfect person, and that I'll never be righteous through works. However, I am saddened that we have turned the narrow path Christ calls us to, and created one of ease. Where a Christian can dissolve right into the world around them and not be set-apart in all ways. --End Quote-- Quote Rose: What I am reading there is a feeling of superiority where you feel that your christian friends are not doing enough to make themselves set apart and are dissolving supposedly into the world around them.Yet you also said they are godly people and get together for Bible study. What is it in them then that you feel that they are failing in?Can you give me some examples of how they are not being set apart enough? --End Quote-- I should have seperated my statement into two paragraphs. Honestly, I find no fault in my Christian friends. I think they are amazing people. I have been so blessed by the people God has placed in my life. The second portion of my statement was directed toward the fact that we can still hold onto many of the wordly customs and traditions, and still be Christians. |
