It is totally and completely naive to think that Satan will produce False Christs, False Prophets and even a False Church and yet believe that the Word of God is off limits to him and that he would not seek to corrupt God's Word, a perfect translation, the KJV.

Do You Have a Counterfeit Bible? 25 Simple Checks.

[mod note: inserting link from Vic's SeekGod site - a comparison chart for Bible versions > http://www.seekgod.ca/chart.htm ] [See following post for explanation] 14949

Also see this NKJV omissions tract.

Satan is corrupting the Word of God. Believe it! And God has preserved His Word, perfectly. Psalm 12:6-7 Counterfeit versions have corrupted verse 7. No surprise.

KJV
Psa 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Counterfeit versions have corrupted 138:2 and for good reason, eh?
ESV
Psa 138:2 I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word.

KJV
2Th 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

ESV
2Th 3:10 For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat.

I have a brother-in-law that has been "willing to work" for 20 years. Unfortunately, he hasn't lifted his finger to "actually work."

And so it goes. If a Bible translation from the Westcott/Hort of 1881 is an idol in your heart you will not be open to what we are saying or take a serious look at the Bible Corruption issue.

If you are serious, then I would recommend as a starting place for you to read Gail Riplingers, "New Age Bible Translations" found at:

Jer 12:5 If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?

Good safety precaution, thanks.

Another reason to NOT avoid the KJV
AKJV!

Philippians 2:6 is the best verse to use to compare different versions of the Bible.
This verse (I believe) sets the course for the entire translation.
This verse has the most diversity from one version to the next.

What makes you think that this verse was not tampered with if you factor in all the errors that you have promoted exist? Do we actually have the true Word of God?

Quote:Ed J:
1) Translational errors (from one language to another)

2) Human error (which accounts for most errors in any accident situation, including the bible)

3) Corruption errors (preconceived ideas of theology, which corrupts many modern translations)

4) Strict “word for word” translating parameters which have even created errors.

Hi Sheep Wrecked,

There are two very good reasons.

1) The AKJV Bible was translated on a strict “word for word” basis; they also used
added words to aid in translational differences identified by [italics] to not accidentally corrupt God’s Word.

2) The translators in 1603 did not have preconceived ideas as to what God had intended;
as the more ‘modern versions’ do; which has corrupted many modern versions of the Bible.

The problem with people today is that they go about to trying to establish their brand of truth.
“The Truth” simply IS, and all that’s needed is for it to be revealed or exposed. It takes the Holy Spirit residing on the inside of a person for them to believe it.

What makes you think Philip 2:6 was not tampered with?
All you have to do is read Philip 2:6 in the different translations to see that it has indeed been tampered with; illustrating # 3 corruption errors.

Always seek the truth, and you will be better off by it.

God bless

Ed,

Once again, you have diverted your answer from what I asked. Do you have any assurance that Phil 2:6 is actually inspired Scripture based on your 4 point thesis that the KJV is full of error? If you actually believe those 4 points, then the KJV is not "anointed" as you call it and you have no way of knowing if any verse, any word, or any "theology" of the KJV is correct. It does not matter if you agree that it was translated on a word for word basis because your 4 point position is a loaded gun, shooting the KJV full of holes.

Hi Sheep Wrecked,

I believe that Vic does not want me to respond any more,
so this response might be viewed by him as disobedience on my part.
But because I believe your question to be genuine, I will take that risk.

Philippians 2:6 in the AKJV Bible is not only translated correctly, but it is the core issue of what it means to be a Christian!
It is the other 'translations' (versions) that #3 applies to, the A.K.J.V. Bible has translated this "KEY" verse correctly!

Vic asked me (more than once) for a declaration on the 'what is a Christian' thread,
so I gave one and then He deleted it; so my time here is probably very short.

This may be my last post, depending on how Vic feels; sorry, but I did enjoy the correspondences.

God bless

Once again, you missed the question. *HOW* do you know that the KJV is the inspired Word of God if it has errors, translation problems, etc? Do you not understand that if you consider all these supposed errors you have listed - which you stated refer to the KJV - that you have no reliable translation and therefore, you have no proof that any verse in the entire KJV Bible is actually God's written Word?
