technical updates and personal update

Hi,

Thank you for your patience, those who I had asked to not post for a few days. The site is now setup, although it may go offline for updating the forum occasionally, so do check back if that happens.

Over the next while, I will be redesigning the website---not the forum part per se , and will be changing it all to https instead of http. That's the new security push for all websites. And I will make it responsive at the same time, which means it will be good for all mobiles as well as desktop. Would appreciate your prayers on this because it is a huge undertaking and having been self taught to begin with, I feel like it's a "I'll do it kicking all the way". LOL.

When/while that is accomplished, hopefully will be able to actually get posting articles again, and also hope to start posting regularly on the forum. Regardless of how active or inactive it appears, there are a lot of readers. So please start posting again, and lets discuss and learn from one another.

Also, as an update re why I haven't written articles or posted much, my hubby has been very ill the last year with his lupus and what it has done to him for years. Since fall he had become very ill and by December and January he was very limited in mobility and had been deteriorating in part due to reactions to the meds supposedly meant to help. They did the opposite. Our gp and specialist were shocked at his condition when they saw him in January. He was put on a med at that time that actually is like a miracle drug for him---although I think the miracle is how God makes it work on him. Within a week, all his pain and joint swellings were gone. His mental function is almost normal or the best it can be after the lupus had attacked his brain in 2006. It's almost like having him 'back', praise God. And his energy which was literally almost gone, is back to a level where he's going for walks to build strength, planning and initiating activities, reading and focusing, and doing word puzzles etc. He even did some baking. While that might sound silly, he was so ill he was pretty much becoming limited to his lift chair with little energy to do anything but be there. The lupus also caused a rheumatoid arthritis type of swelling in all his joints. He was in tough shape. Which is now--gone. At least for now, and God willing, the doc will understand that this one medicine is what he needs when his lupus flares, instead of experimenting with really wicked drugs because that's the 'new protocol'.

Anyway, that's why my writing and computer time fluctuates and at times is limited or very limited. But I feel like that is changing where I will be able to get doing it regularly again. God willing and with His strength for His purposes.

Thank you for your prayers in all of this.

3John 1:4  I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
Isaiah 40:31  But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Exclamation  (This post was last modified: 02-28-2017, 05:24 PM by Vic.)

Just an up date regarding the forum. During the migration to the new server there were some issues and the yesterday the 27th, it was decided to roll back the forum to the 22nd. That means posts since then until late the 27th, will have disappeared. As well, those during that time who joined, will have to rejoin, as there will be no record of them. We are still testing the forum to see if it stabilized. MY apologies for this inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

I would ask members to try the different functions in their control panel, try searches and post at least once and try editing your post within the allotted time frame, (try quick edit and full edit separately) and so on. If you receive any errors please copy what they are and send them to me via my email.  Thank you for your help in this.
