RE: Meditation and mantras
The Worlds Meditation is about "No Thought".
We are warned about a house left empty. Matthew 12:43-45 * When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. * Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. * Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. Pretty dangerous. Instead we are told this: Philippians 4:8 * Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. We are also told to specifically meditate on the Law and the Word of God Joshua 1:8 * This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Psalms 1:1-2 * Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. * But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And 8 more times in the Psalms. David had alot to say about Godly Meditation. |
