Can we lose Salvation?

If we can t earn our salvation
how can we lose it?
It s a gift and only the giver can take it away
but He won t because:

Joh 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

Joh 17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

Tit 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Some people say:
If they leave God and lose theyre salvation they where not His to begin with!
And the bible confirma that

1Jn 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

So i see salvation as a work of God
He draws us
He keeps us
We submit our will to Him
