It's right on the tip of my tongue. Was Jesus addressing Israel or the church? Was he preaching the gospel of the Kingdom or the gospel of Grace? Do you know the difference? That'd be a good place to start. What's the difference 'tween the gospel of the Kingdom and the gospel of Jesus Christ? There is no difference because there is only ONE gospel. It began to be spoken by the Lord: How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; (Hebrews 2:3) It was commissioned to His followers and it unifies the entire New Testament in its teaching. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15) The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the glad tidings that Jesus Christ died for man's sins, that He was buried, and that He rose again from the dead to be the Savior of those who receive Him (1 Co. 15:1-11). It is the only Gospel that was preached by Jesus Christ, Peter, Paul and all the other apostles. It is the only Gospel which saves. |
