At first, because of the Finney quote that you posted, I assumed you were not. That would help me dialogue a bit more informed! I was the first one to use the Finney quote, but I was not quoting Charles Finney the Preacher. I was qouting a post from page 1 of this thread (05-12-2009 09:04 PM)finney Wrote: Once saved always saved is oft used as an excuse for the flesh, is an (among Christians) emotionally loaded sound byte that really doesn't say anything (or else says it all) and the question can be asked or answered by better means than an adage. So I am Sorry for the Misunderstanding. I was saying that true Christians do not use Gods grace as an excuse to sin. 1John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. Now we know Christians sin like Peter did in Mathew 26:69-72 when he denied Christ three times. But he repented, and got back up to prove that he was a true child of god. But what happened to Judas who Jesus had already called a Devil in John 6:70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? Judas never repented and died with his miserable sins still on his back, thus proving he was never saved. Is that better? |
