RE: Is Jesus still a Jewish Man as well as God?
Due to the content of Peter's last two posts, it was decided to moderate them and answer directly into the posts, with editing as seemed necessary by agreement of the admins. It is not something I relish doing, but, attitude has a lot to do with how things come across. My responses are in red. Vic
Vic Wrote:Peter, I don't care what group you claim to belong to or not belong to. However, I am interested if your Doctrine and Beliefs align with particular groups. Being that you appear to have Charismatic and HR doctrine, it is merely semantics whether you physically align with them. Since you are a part of a Charismatic forum which holds beliefs contrary to Scripture, that is the issue. You SHOULD be concerning yourself ONLY with whether or not my belief line up with the WORD OF GOD! Vic's answer >*Peter clearly missed what was meant by knowing the doctrine of groups which goes against the Scriptures, and also what was said clearly in the last statement concerning beliefs contrary to the Scriptures. Why would anyone wish to affiliate with groups that are unBiblical? Vic Wrote:Incidentally, people in HR and Messianic movements wish to identify themselves as such and in most cases refuse to be viewed as Christians ie followers of Jesus Christ.. HR in particular vehemently reject being viewed as a follower of Christ and view Christians as unsaved. Since I am born again into the Body of Christ.... why do you accuse me of being "HR" as you put it??? By the way HR is YOUR TERM and it does not appear in the scriptures. Part of your tactic is to build many strawmen and then seek to draw people's attention to them. Get back to the scriptures! Vic's answer >*HR or Hebrew Roots is not my term. It is the name of a movement, and described as such by those within the movement. They promote specific doctrines which you also are promoting, and also believe they are right on scripturally. Ignorance of the movement does not mean it does not exist or that your beliefs do not align with theirs. If they align we can safely say you have their doctrines. Vic Wrote:(Peter said - )then in the first instance it should be your primary motivation to teach me the error of my pre-suppositions from Scripture. Why have you not done this? You have moved directly to slanderous implications instead and in doing so you have erred. At best ****flaming deleted **** Vic Wrote:In other words Peter, in order to receive that you might be in error, you actually have to believe you might be in error and actually be willing to accept the truth of the matter. You however do not see your self in anyway as having any doctrinal blind spots or error in your thinking. You in fact, appear to believe you are one of the few who has the Truth of the Scriptures. I by my human nature ****flaming deleted ****. Vic Wrote:Actually the blindness was a curse put upon them by God because they refused to accept that Christ was the Messiah. Had they been focussed upon Moses they would have recognised Him for who He was ...deleted... The 2 Corinthians 3:12-18 issue... My appologies I have been having troubles with some new software which lead to my wrong identification of the scripture source you used. It's no surprise to me that you have chosen to place so much emphasis upon this mistake. This form of arguing is juvenile. So is your use of the animated smilies which give the author broad license to ridicule and imply instead of being direct. Is this what you call mature? YOUR fruit is showing clearly. Vic's answer >** I can understand having problems with a program when identyfying my source of Scripture. However, you neglected to point out the emphasis was that while claiming to use the KJV to set me straight, you used the NASB, and have used it repeatedly. Your attempt to overlook that issue by another attempt to attack me, merely shows I was correct in my assessment. Incidently, the smileys I used were very direct and said exactly what I intended. I was just about on the floor laughing at your idea. That being, you accusing me of using another version, which if you had read my site and actually knew the KJV, you would have known I used it. And you very obviously did not use the KJV as stated, and instead used the NASB. Vic Wrote:I am not interested in further discussion with you Peter, at this time. You have shown your fruit. You need to deal with it. ... and so have you. ****flaming deleted **** Vic Wrote:Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight. Amen! RE: Is Jesus still a Jewish Man as well as God?
Today's posts are the last posts that I will make here at Seekgod forums. I have done my job and delivered the word of correction. It has been walked on, so I dust off my feet and leave this place...
Vic's answer> When one states that they have “delivered the word of correction” we can assume that this person believes they are speaking for the Lord in a prophetic way as we find in the faith/charismatic movement today. The tone is superior and without love, which is not of God. It is simply a tool to elevate one’s position of superiority and favoritism with God. James shows us how God desires us to speak to others and explains what happens when one’s agenda is not godly: Jam 3:13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. Jam 3:14 But if you have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. Jam 3:15 This wisdom descends not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. Jam 3:16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. Jam 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. Jam 3:18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. |
