I did it....
Hello peoples
After doubting for 1.5 year i did it..... I left "my"congregation. Two weeks ago i sent them a lettre. in wich i resigned as a member of the churxh. It took me 1.5 year thinking about it, i could not decie pfffffI tryed to do it with for all of them. Not holding back my dissapointment tho. Same lettre i sent to "my biblegroup" and thanked them for the friendship. Since then i did n t hear from either of them, not from the biblestudy group, and not from one member of the church. Altho i did n t really expect any sympathy, i am sad about this. After 21 years, no one took the time to call me or write me a card to say goodbye or something. Oh well.....now i am really churchless......but i allready was a "sleeping"member. I do think about the 21 years now, memory's of good times, it was good the first 12 years. What now/ I don t know....i just wait and see what God will do in my life in this new situation. I do ( and did) miss the fellowship the last 5 years or so. Internet is great, but is not the same as fellowship with "real"people. EMJE ![]() ( who is a bit sad but also confident she made the right dissicion) |

RE: I did it....
EMJE..
When I left the Messianic congregation I was attending for almost 10 years, the people there could have cared less. I think this type of thing happens in alot of churches too. Most congregations are "clickish" (sp?) and if you aren't part of that "clique", you really don't "fit" in. So when you leave, it's no big deal. When my second husband died, only ONE couple from that congregation came to help me clean up and get things in order. So I can sort of relate to what you went through. I will pray that you find another church. |
