Speaking in Tongues

all my children are grown youngest is 19, none of them serve the Lord, some are leaning that way, but they say just not ready, i tell them you better get ready and like Now...but i think its important that they know the truth about tongues and other stuff, so they dont fall into the same trap, so they can see how easy it is and also even when we do let ourselves get deceived how soooo important it is to repent and admit it and tell of it as a testimony....no darkness allowed in that area anymore if i kept this a secret satan would use it against me fr one and he would snare them with it. so its very important to bring this to the light and show satan for what he is, a liar....

After examining the whole tongues concept, I have come to believe some of it is just babbling incoherent syllables [not words, not a language], and some of it may be demonic as it has been compared to the identical verbiage of the tongues of satanic worshipers. I have also read, with interest, that it could be a brain training technique as well [when you keep muttering the same phonetic patterns over and over, the brain automatically will shift into gear and you begin to rattle off info that is stored].

I used to listen to myself often intrigued with what I was saying - lots of repetition. And I was never given interpretation, which is strictly against Scripture. What I noticed, that did not click at the time, is that everyone was speaking the same "language" and the prophecies/words of the Lord all sounded identical in tongues, yet with differing interpretations. That does not make sense. As I look back, I see clearly how deceptive all of this was.

I agree that this stuff has to be exposed, and you have a wonderful opportunity to share with your kids. Hopefully, they will seek after the Lord. When one has been subjected to a false movement that promotes tongues, it will adversely affect people spiritually. I have seen many fall away due to the tongues and other teachings in the faith movement because of the false spirit that it was birthed from. I thank God that He pulled me from the whole mess as I was most definitely on a course to ship wreck my faith.
