23rd Psalm
I always in my heart of hearts regarded the 23rd psalm as hackneyed nonsense, but the 23rd pslam is precisely what the Lord is offering me: the sabbath rest of the believer, peace, delight, and rivers and meadows.

I was taught the christian life was hard, and it was constant warfare. But his yoke is easy, he says, and the warfare metaphors have been flagrantly abused.

I still do not trust him enough to relax in his presence, but that is where the ongoing debate between Him and me is leading

RE: 23rd Psalm
Thank you for sharing that Strefanash. God's ways are so beyond our understanding, He knows exactly what we need and when. You are right when you say the warfare terminology is overused---His burden is light, and all He wants is for us to say Yes to Him and allow Him to work through us. So many are so busy, they miss that He is our rest and our strength and He supplies all we need to serve Him. Thankfully
