Despite extensive research and analysis from 2003 forward, Michael Rood has had a few doors opened over the years into the Messianic, Hebrew Roots/ Two House and also Christian arenas.

That Michael Rood has less than Scriptural or factual teachings doesn't seem to matter to those who like their ears tickled. For the many who have taken the time to research and find out what exactly Michael Rood is about--good for you.

For those who have fallen for the many carrots dangled as 'new doctrine' or 'new understanding' or 'new revelation' or just plain conjecture, unverified information, plain incorrect information, denigration of the person and name of Jesus that "pagan" Christians believe in...etc...you need to step back and consider that we are called to prove all things.

Michael Rood's June newsletter, which can be found at his michaelroodministries.com, was again filled with himself and his claimed exploits and as is normal...ZERO documentation to prove anything has been done, other than at his own computer....we see his claim of many travels worldwide...at the expense of others, if it has taken place at all....and we see such unbiblical statements as:

"...We held a Passover Seder for 250 people. ... Seated at the raised head table with me were the most important people attending the affair..."

Forgotten were the Scriptures of Jesus Himself who said,

Mat 23:4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues,
7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

Missing is also knowledge of the first part of that passage Mat 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. --Michael Rood spouts this passage many many times--and misses the whole issue.

James also wrote: Jam 2:2 For if there come to your assembly a man with a gold ring, in goodly apparel, and there come in also a poor man in vile raiment;
3 And you have respect to him that wears the gay clothing, and say to him, Sit you here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand you there, or sit here under my footstool:
4 Are you not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
5 Listen, my beloved brothers, Has not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to them that love him?
6 But you have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which you are called?

Jesus was the final sacrifice, and is the final Passover Lamb. Therefore to advocate further sacrifices is to overturn His sacrifice and the Scriptures...something which Michael Rood excels at.

The June letter again provided those following in Rood's footsteps another opportunity to see the recurring failed prophetic predictions again put forward as something new... prefaced with the usual concept of world events, 'just as I said it would happen'.

I have several times listed in articles concerning Michael Rood, and tracked all his failed prophecies and predictions, and regurgitated statements when proven false, and disclaimers and heretical statements.

People that follow false prophets and false teachers like Michael Rood tend to get what they pay for, but not necessarily what they pray for.

Somedays, I can really appreciate God's sense of humor in the scheme of things. False prophets and false teachers abound, wrapped up in their own self worth and claimed wisdom. But God allows us a peek at how absurd they can appear. [Psalm 2 & 52]

Take for example, the latest news letter from Michael Rood. My comments are in [red].

The fact is, REAL archeaologists have not determined the exact location of Sodom or Gomorrah, although they feel confident in their general views of where. If what Michael Rood is hauling all over the world is actual Gomorrah or Sodom brimstone/sulphur ---don't you think Real archaeologists would confirm it, including Jewish authorities in Israel?

Rood has merely parroted what the late Ron Wyatt tried, and whose many archeological claims have been shown to be false. The video opens with Michael on the west side of the Dead Sea where he begins his "teaching" on Sodom and Gomorrah, indicating that this is where the 5 Cities of the Plains are [as they are archaeologically known] found - according to Ron Wyatt, from whom Michael has taken his information from. This is not the location according to expert archaeologists, which is on the lower east side of the Dead Sea. (some say on the northern or southern end of the Dead Sea also) But that has never stopped Michael in bringing his own "revelations" to historical fact, usually changing it to suit his own purposes.

What is also curious about Mr Rood's attempt at "teaching" this whole scheme, is that he uses clips from an old movie called "The Ten Commandments" in an attempt to show some historical background for his "discoveries" about Sodom and Gomorrah. In particular, the scenes of Lot and the angels just before their escape from those two cities. What makes this so strange is that Michael has spent most of his tour career denigrating Christianity. How interesting to note that the producer of "The Ten Commandments", Cecil B. DeMille, was Episcopalian and also attended Christ Church. It seems that Mr Rood likes to cross over to the "western pagan Gentile Greek" side of the road when it suits his agenda.]

Instead of spending thousands of dollars to travel to the Judean wilderness, (and without an experienced guide, risk coming back empty handed)[ hence all the tour promotions--are they discontinued now that this "offer" is being made?] Michael Rood is making available his precious and limited brimstone collection [ Yes, brimstone aka sulphur is not found anywhere else on the planet, and cannot be accessed by anyone else...but Michael Rood. ---look on the internet--it's found in almost all countries worldwide and since Rood's location of Gomorrah is contrary to actual historical and real archeological data...his "precious" stash can likely be replenished...] to those who want to use it as the Almighty intended - a witness to the wicked, that the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, though longsuffering, will render a swift and terrible verdict upon those who scoff at His instructions and do their own thing. This brimstone (Hell fire KJV) [Wrong. The words used pertaining to Sodom and Gomorrah are "fire and brimstone" (Luke 17:29) in the KJV. Jesus used the words "hell fire" in Matt 5:22, 18:9 and Mark 9:47, but not in reference to Sodom and that event. Fire and Brimstone as a phrase is used twice in OT and four times in NT, the last three in Revelation 14:10, 20:10, 21:8, about the result of judgement for rejecting Christ.] is also a tried and true testimony to the righteous, that the Almighty is able to save the righteous in the Day of Judgment. Jesus sending out the seventy to the house of Israel and those that rejected their message of Christ:

I guess that's what happens when you elevate Torah over the New Covenant Life in Christ. Funny how Torah is never mentioned in the NT as "filling your well". What we find is this:

Joh 4:13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
Joh 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Joh 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

1 Cor 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
1Co 10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
1Co 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Rev 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

The OT says this and please note, there is no reference that Torah is a well, living water, or a fountain of life:

Isa 12:3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Isa 55:1 H o, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

Isa 55:2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
Isa 55:3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

Isa 58:11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Jer 2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

Jer 17:13 O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters.

Apparently there is a misconception about what Jesus taught and who He is in relation to Moses.

Heb 11:24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
Heb 11:25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
Heb 11:26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

1Co 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
1Co 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

1Co 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Joh 1:15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.

Joh 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Luk 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Torah is more than the first 5 books, or simply the Law as some focus on. The Bible is comprised of 66 books. It's all from GOD. And Jesus brought the New Covenant, which established the new priesthood and the new law.

Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

2Pe 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
2Pe 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
2Pe 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

God gave Moses the Torah and Jesus taught it...and of course Jesus is the Word that was with
God in the beginning and so the
Torah (Instruction) that was given to Moses was from Jesus. Jesus of course knew the law before Moses did, having been present with God always.
Isn't this what we are all in agreement about? To study the first 5 books of Moses, knowing that Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, being present at creation and eternal like the father...
isnt this an argument similar to which came first, the chicken or the egg?
But we know that Jesus came first, He is the author of our faith (which is the
Torah= Instruction) and the finisher (That he made it complete)

So when Jesus said If you love me keep my commandments...why is there any question that we should do it?
And of course we are not supposed to study ONLY the first 5 books, we have the whole bible. But the point of studying the 5 books of Moses is that its really all in there, and the rest of the bible is going along with it.
There is just so much we have not been taught about it. We need to understand the old testament as well as we understand the new, and then you see that it confirms the new testament, it does not take away from it at all.

The Antinomian Michael Rood

In a few articles on my website I reported how Michael Rood went over a patroled fence in Israel---because he chose to not honor or respect the locked gate --and other behaviors contrary to his claimed "torah observance". His stated view is he is on a mission from 'god' so the conclusion must be that whatever he deems good to do must be so. Any violations of the Bible or laws of the land are seemingly willingly overlooked by followers. That's just Michael, you know. While it's been shown time and again that he is a false prophet and false teacher, he continues on, changing tactics for whatever crowd he wants to garner support from.

His recent foray into Germany provided video footage which is almost laughable it is such garbage. But it isn't funny. This is a man who claims to be serving God who deliberately breaks a countries law where he is a guest, and videos it as he fully flaunts that law. He then makes up information to make it appear he has something worthwhile to say.

This latest fiasco began with a focus on Jews during the war and their placement of flag holders on their window frames. In order to go to one home, he chose to break the law.

Standing at a walkway beside a bridge that has a metal bar and sign across the entrance, he refers to the sign and says,

But here we are at this bridge going over the river and this looks like [pointing to sign that reads "Durchgang verboten"]... it looks like it says dutch gangs are forbidden, and since I am not a member of any dutch gang then I thought you can join me and I wanna show you something on the other side of the bridge. Come on follow me - as he deftly puts one leg then the other over the bar that is across the bridge and walks across it.

It should be obvious that a gated bridge with a sign on it pretty much means don't cross in any language. Except in Michael Rood's antinomianism.

"Durchgang verboten" means "NO Passage" or "NO thoroughfare!". It's not that complicated a concept. Even a child would comprehend what the barred gate meant.

After going to a house, he then moves on to a large complex. Standing next to a sign that says:“Benutzung der Sportanlage ohne Genehmigung der Stadt verboten - der burgermeister”, Rood states:

Quote:“This is a school that 10 years ago housed 800 children … now there are only 80 children in this entire facility at this point. It’s almost a national monument to the abortion epidemic in this country [Germany] which is funded by the government. … This sign in front of me as you can see says the all familiar word “verboten”.

I can only assume that this sign now means that children are forbidden. You are forbidden to have children … and signed by der burgermeister and commiserate with Burger King – where we in America are feeding our children with meat that come from animals that are filled with bovine growth hormones ….."

In his rant about abortion he claims that children will soon be forbidden due to government not allowing any more children to be born.

Here's what "Benutzung der Sportanlage ohne Genehmigung der Stadt verboten - der burgermeister" means:

"Use of Sports Facilities without Permission of the City banned - the Mayor" [permission> authorisation, or similar; Banned> forbidden, etc]

So Michael Rood presented the whole spiel about the 'school' and the 800 children down to 80....and his whole spiel had nothing to do with the Sports facility he stood in front of that he claimed was a school. Let's see what the Word of God says about these things.

Tit 3:1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work.

Eph 4:25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.

Lev 6:2 If a soul sin, and commit a trespass against the LORD, and lie unto his neighbour in that which was delivered him to keep, or in fellowship, or in a thing taken away by violence, or hath deceived his neighbour;

Pro 14:5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies.

Pro 14:25 A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.

Pro 19:9 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.

Pro 17:4 A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue.
