Before the flood there was no instruction to eat animals at all. In Raymond Moore's book, Homemade Health, he proposes that after the flood, due to the depletion of plant life, animals were permitted as food.

When Noah was directed to bring animals into the ark, we notice there is distinguishment of unclean and clean.
Which leads me to believe unclean animals were designed that way because of a specific purpose. They are kind of like earth's clean up crew.

Why do we continue to ignore the biblical wisdom concerning the subject, even when it's backed by medical research? Many food born illnesses are from pork consumption. It just seems easier to avoid it all together.

Salmonella is usually due to poor conditions of sanitation. The meat of the chicken in and of itself is not the culprit. It's in the fecal matter.
