Exclamation Regarding Avatars
Balloons Hi all,

In the Welcome thread is a short announcement concerning when I made the new avatars for the forum, which are available to all members. 5396

Unlike many forums, we do not want a myriad of religious symbols as avatars. In fact, we prefer no religious symbols or flags be used as avatars or in signatures. This is a Christian forum and we want to keep it as simplified in these issues as possible, and do not want this to become a major issue. 7863

We are not wanting to stifle individual expression or offend anyone. No Which is why we allow avatars when many forums do not. However, please consider that they are just there for enjoyment, and they don't make who you are when you post. All personal avatars that members post will be considered on an individual basis. Please understand that.

For those who do not see any premade avatars that really strike you as what you want to convey, if you have an idea, phrase, scene concept or similar...I can make a custom avatar for you. Please feel free to contact me with your ideas of what you would like. I will be more than happy to try to accomodate what you are thinking.

3John 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Sorry about the Stars and Stripes I have been using in my signature. Is it okay to keep using it or would you prefer something different?

It's from a tee shirt I print and wear because that "visualize world peace" slogan gets on my nerves. "Visualizing" world peace won't make it happen. Humans will kill humans under any pretext. The first child on earth killed his brother. The Bible is full of wars between men. David had a curse of war on his house as a result of setting up Uriah to be murdered. Hippies and other New Agers can visualize world peace all they want. History shows man to be a warlike species, and there will continue to be wars and rumors of wars. Read the Book of Revelation for the last word on war! (That shirt scares the mucus out of people when I wear it, BTW.)

Well we didn't make the avatar rule until almost 6 months after you joined so, no need to apologise. I understand your passion for the message. It might be easier to remove it, just so those who join later and must apply the rule don't feel there's unequal decisions from the admins. Perhaps you could just put a saying in your signature rather than a image. I am not going to say you must remove it. I am going to leave it to you what you do with it.
