Sheep its just that I get so frustrated because HR folks twist scripture into knots (and my stomach). I have researched many early church sources to try and convince them the early church taught the same doctrines that we hold fast to today. I just want to show them the truth!! Maybe the Didache isnt the best way. But then again I have only referenced it a few times.....and they could care less anyways.

Hi Chris,

Having dealt with HR for over ten years now, I know that it can be disheartening and upsetting. Especially when we see people we care about sucked into it.

One thing I have learned is that the battle is God's. All I can do is write what He would have me do, in His way and in His timing. We can never know what will be the seed that is used to bring someone out of it, or to keep someone from going into it. 14480

The bottom line is we don't know how anything we do will be received. You almost have to take a clinical approach, present the facts and Scripture---which many will refuse coming from a "pagan Christian" depending how far in they are.

Jude 1:21-25 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. 22. And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23. And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. 24. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25. To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

It can take time for God to work through the issues in that person and they can get in really deep. To the point of rejecting everything including the Scriptures. Which also means rejecting Christ. However, I have also seen those involved for several years make a complete turn around back to Christ. It's fully in His hands. 47b20s0

RE: What About the Didache?
Sheep,

I am familiar with all of the info you just mentioned about sabbath. I am currently reading "Sabbath in Crisis" By Ratzlaff it is a study on the Sabbath by a former 7th day Adventist Pastor. It is a great book. You are right, sabbath was a sign of the covenant as was circumcision. Jesus is Lord of the sabbath and He fulfills the sabbath, He is the sabbath rest of God. It was a huge relief when I relaized that He was the rest!
