I come from a background that practices this.After having God take the blinders off of me concerning this I can know see how it works.
These so called preachers/pastors are false whether they are doing it knowingly or not I do not know..I remember many,many church services where the preacher or someone else like the music director or whoever was at the podium would say over and over something like..come holy spirit,come
and the congregation would join in in this behavior of calling on the holy spirit,even singing it over and over.This is chanting.It doesn't seem like it is while you are in it but it is...Yes you could feel this thing enter into the sanctuary..you could feel a noticeable change in the atmosphere and the preacher would say..something like, He's here can you feel Him?
They say things like,The holy spirit is a gentleman..He will not force himself on anyone..This is a trick to get you to submit to this spirit....They say things like,Just relax and allow the holy spirit to move and..let him wash over you.
Where in the bible does it say anything about this?Where in the bible does it say you need to sing songs to the holy spirit and beckon him to you?
This is a LIE! This thing is NOT the Holy Spirit of God!
This thing is demonic. It is a seducing spirit.It doesn't feel bad or evil that is how it tricks you.It feels warm and calm but heavy..and anyone that is practicing this you have to stop,please.
I could sit praying in tongues anywhere and conjure this thing to me by saying come holy spirit and praying in tongues and it would seem to come because I could feel it wash over me..it would feel warm and calm..it didn't feel evil or bad so I didn't question it.I just blindly trusted and was led into a snare of the devil.Once you give this thing an open invitation and submit yourself to it,it will manifest itself and you will feel it.It stays with you.God has to deliver you from this thing once you have given yourself over to it...but you have to stop..you chose this thing because you were lied to you were made to think it was the spirit of God.It is NOT. You chose it and now you have to UN-choose it.God will allow you to continue in this lie because it is what you wanted.What you chose.Now you have to UN-choose it and choose the One True God.
Just stop it now,please.Choose God,not what you feel,or what you think you feel..stop right now and choose Jesus Christ and no other.Why settle for a poor substitution when you can have the real thing.God can take this thing from you but you have to stop choosing it and choose Him.
You don't have to believe me but if you don't know for sure if it is right or wrong just stop and seek God.You won't be punished or miss out on anything for seeking God's wisdom and truth.That is what He wants us to do.

1Jn 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
