Hello, I am emmy, I live in Australia, and think that it is a fairly good country. I have traveled a fair bit...but this is the land of my birth and my home. I am new to the forum. Some of my friends post stuff on here and I guess I was curious about it.
Not sure how often or not I will be able to post. I am currently on holidays as I resigned my job...looking for a new one.
I have been raised christian since I was about 5 years old. Went to a traditional church most of my childhood. Went to a pentacostal church for about 7 years during my young adulthood and now don't really go anywhere.

Hi, sweetemmy! welcome and look forward to getting to know you.
Blessings upon Blessings!!!

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

RE: Please Introduce Yourself!
I'm from western Pennsylvania and near Pittsburgh. If I have anything to say, hopefully it will mean something. My persona and character are nothing compared to God; if I was compared to faithful Paul, I would be the worst of apostates! All I can say about myself is that I am stubborn and foolish in many things and wise in few situations. What good things can I say about myself or others? "There is none righteous, no, not one." Death to self is extremely important in my life. I must be dead to myself to live in God, whose grace and mercy surpass all things. Without love I am nothing. So when you read anything that I type, remember God, and not me- "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain"

Acts 9:5
And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest:
IT IS HARD FOR THEE TO KICK AGAINST THE PRICKS.

Revelation 1:8
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord,
which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Hi! Wave Glad you jumped on board, Darkglass! You will find a diversified group here, so be prepared to defend your positions. Sometimes we even learn something in the process Reading

It's probably a good thing none of us knows it all, so forums like this one gives us the opportunity to excel in good Scriptural hermeneutics, along with factual and historical documentation to keep us all up to speed 10241

Have fun and enjoy!

030 And again Welcome DarkGlass to the forum. Glad you feel comfortable enough to post Action-smiley-057

I think we all would be a mess compared to Paul, who stated and showed that he also struggled with the flesh, despite all the incredible things God had him do. Fortunately it was the Holy Spirit at work thru him, as is also at work within us, because we are lost without Him. I would say many are stubborn, foolish and even unteachable, and lacking in true humility and the fruit of the Spirit.

Thankfully any true wisdom we have comes from Him alone and we can claim none of it for our own.

1Co 1:17-21
(17) For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
(18) For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
(19) For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
(20) Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
(21) For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

1Co 1:26-31
(26) For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
(27) But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty(28) And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
(29) That no flesh should glory in his presence.
(30) But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
(31) That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

I hope you enjoy the discussions and fellowship, and we can all edify each other. Crowd
