Balloons So glad you finally introduced yourself. :41: 8823

Your testimony was an interesting read. Made me think of when I prayed and it felt like sunshine filled my soul. I wasn't sure if what the Bible said about Christ was true, but I wanted to, if it was. And it was. 6788

Anyway, here's your official welcome to the group-611

Although it's almost a month overdue. Welcomeani

RE: Please Introduce Yourself!
Artskoe. Christian since birth (not a believer since birth, but you know what I mean). Grew up in a traditional denomination that was turning liberal at the most crucial time of my life. Through my Mom going to a ladys Bible Study, we discovered God's marvelous grace through faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross.

To make a long story short, I went through stages of problems of being a 2nd generation Christian. Now, I try to get believers to see sound Bible doctrine by study of verses in context, not pretext. Much of what we do in church is left over from the reformation and inquisition.

For example, saw an evangelist last night on TV who first said "if it ain't in the Bible, I don't believe it" then went on to say alzheimers and dementia in most cases are fruit of hard-heartedness. I take that to mean Pharoah had alzheimer's?

This web site has been a blessing to me. Glad to meet ya'll.

RE: Please Introduce Yourself!
Actually the question of sin and how it relates to "mental illness" fascinates me. I use quotation marks as part of my attitude to thing. Interested in discussing it?

Well, it sounds like you are starting a new thread, although I'm not an admin.

You've got a good point, since it was not possible for mental illness before the fall. Be careful, though, because chemical imbalance in the human brain is still largely unproven. Only God can, in the end, sort it out. Have a good day!

yep - you can start a thread on it - sounds like an interesting topic, one that I have some input as well. How about putting it apologetics, as it doesn't really seem to fit anywhere else --- if we decide to move it, it'll be easy to track down Reading
