RE: Please Introduce Yourself!
Hello everyone
I am Emje and i live in The Netherlands.
I am a woman, daughter, mother, friend, but most of all i am a child of the moest high.....the God from israel.....abraham Isaac and jacob.
I am a believer sin ce 21 years but came along way.
I see it as an adventure.
I started looking for God and who He was 23 years ago ( all tho i was raised catholic) and He found me!
Since then i was a baptist..for many years...then a grace-believer.for 5 years then a baptist again and in the meantime also a guest in a pentecostal church for 6 months and at last i became.......messianic.

ohh and before all this i did bible study with the JW's for 1 year.
So you can imagine me being one confused puppy after my traveling through the land of religion.
In dec 2007 i start having doubts about the whole "mess"and HRM
(now i believe that God was pulling me out of it)

Its dec 2008 right now and after a year of getting rid of the brainwashing i think i see it all more clearly now.
But i am still a bit bothered by the brainwashing now and then.
I have 100% confident that God has a plan for me, nothing happens for no reason. I joined this forum because Aahava invited me, she is a dear friend.
I hope to learn somethings here and to ask questions of course
and to share some of my thoughts on bible and everything that goes with it

Welcomeani So pleased you came to this forum Emje. You have already posted some great thoughts and asked very interesting questions so I think you are off to a great start. Yes

It sounds like you have had quite a journey, and in spite of it all, God is working in your life to give you understanding--His ways are so perfect. No matter how messed up we think we get, He cuts right through it, so we can know Him the way we are supposed to. :icon_coolsign:

I hope we can edify one another as we ask and consider the various topics and seek the answers in God's Word as well as factually where needed. Action-smiley-080

:welcome2: It's great to see you here Cheer

I can relate to you - I went through a number of churches - pentecostal and then messianic HR, so we have that in common Yes

Hopefully this will be a place where we can talk and ask/answer questions. It's hard getting "clean out" of the junk that keeps us from the simplicity in Christ, but with the grace and mercy of God, He will cleanse and renew us to His Truth. He is Awesome Mrgreens

Looking forward to your posts Mrblue

RE: Please Introduce Yourself!
Hello everyone Wave

My name is jody and I live in oklahoma....ground zero to the name it and claim it faith. I can soooo relate to all with the church hopping experiances. :s

And yes the Lord is awesome...I often forget that He too is with me in this troublesome time and that Im not as alone as it seems...even when it very much feels like it.

Electronic Hugs to everyone.

Vic, I want to give you a hearty thanks and a really big HUG for your efforts in exposing the leadership mine field and all their associations/links to each other.
And to all if any who have helped you.

I have spent hours on your site as well as others, and know exactly how much time you have spent running just their connections down...and thats not even considering the hours you have spent researching/refuting their teachings. Again a big HUGS and THANKS

Jody, 030

So glad you joined and look forward to getting to know you better. Smiles_pinkbounce Glad you already started posting. We may be a small group so far---but we seem to have a lot to talk about. Action-smiley-080

Thank you so much for your kind encouragement and remarks. I am so glad you, as well as others, have found the site to be of help. It has taken a lot of work, but God provides all we need, including research help--especially for things such as Hebrew and Greek language information. It's definitely by God's grace the website is here.

This discussion forum is something I have wanted to do for some time, and again God provided the people and technical help to do it. They know who they are and how very much appreciated they are  I am always amazed at how He works and the timing of events.

HUGS back at you Jody! Glad you joined our group!

Thank you Rose and Vic
And yes Gods ways are awesome...Grace, Mercy and His unfathomably great timing Mrgreens are a constant joy and amazment to myself as well.

I do look forward to being a part of your group, my friend (1/2 cent) and I have been dragged over the coals thru the years as admins Lightning

I know that she, like I wrestle with using our established net names..lol
Seems it would be so much easier to pretend to be another and keep quite on the hot issues...but as you might already suspect and will soon find Im sure...we dont seem to be very good at keeping quite in the face of false teachings/teachers regardless of what name we/I are under so...lol

Long story short...we never had a place to just rest, like yourself Im sure, and all the others fighting the good fight... we have had much abuse heaped on us and we are tired for now.

So it will be nice to have a place for encouragement, refreshing and to grow further in the Lord and His word.

Jody,

I can understand Lightning and understand the feelings Jumping-smiley-011 Fighting the good fight can make us physically, emptionally and spiritually weary, and that's why when we are weak--we are strong.

I hope you rest here, are encouraged, grow in Christ and have a few laughs --I am sure there will be many. Th_smiley_ROFL3

Blessings to you and 1/2 cent.
