Hello everyone!

I'm very glad to have found you all. I found this site by accident, when I found a link to the Main Site, which was linked from another BB, with a great article on the HBR movement. So I guess you could say that I followed the cookie trail here.

I'm not HBR nor Messianic, although I've been aware of Messiancs since watching Zola Levitt's show, and am some what familiar with Ariel Ministries and Dr. Arnold Frutchenbaum. I've discovered recently that some in the HBR movement, disaprove of both of those ministries.

I had no idea of the depth of the Heresy in the HBR movement until the last few months. I first became aware of something 'not smelling right', when on another BB I started reading and interacting with some who are in the HBR movement. I'm not very versed in apologetics so was having quite a time going round and round with a few of them. They are quite reluctant to come right out and tell you what they really believe, and talk in circles, so it can be a challenge to dialog or to engage in apologetic type discussions with them. Thus I've recently been hunting online for what exactly they believe and just tonight found this fourm.

I can see that some of my perceptions about the HBRM are correct, but still have a lot to learn. I'll most likely be reading more than posting at first, but wanted to pop in and introduce myself, and am looking forward to getting to know you all.

I'm female, as you can see from my Screen name, and my real name is Christine. (feel free to call me Chris) I live in North Central Louisiana. Jesus Christ is my Savior, my Lord, and my God. I'm so thankful that He first Loved me!

My husband is wanting me to come and watch a TV program with him, so I'll be toddling along for now, but I'll be back soon.

Thank you for the nice welcome. Since I found you all tonight, I've been reading, reading, reading. I see that I have much more to go yet. That's okay with me as I love to read, especially when it has anything to do with God's Word. Can't get enough of that. God sure answered my prayers by leading me to this website.

This is fun, I love meeting new people, especially Sister's and Brother's in Christ. As they say in the Dixie, we've never met a stranger.

I enjoy Carm as good reference and resource site, but I've I haven't ever participated on any of their forums. They've been a great quick reference and info. source for me over the years though. But, I discovered a couple of days ago, that they don't have anything yet on the HRBM. Or, maybe they do and I wasn't using the right search terms? That's always possible. LOL!

I'm not really a night owl - is there a word for someone who doesn't sleep much? :countingsheep:Got up to a lovely morning today and went for a walk, now it's evening and the family are settled....
Carm is a good resource as is ComeReason. I have not posted on Carm for about a year, and there was not anything on HRM although quite a few posters were pushing their ideas.

I love Jesus, I love His word. I have been a Christian for 40 years, and He tells me something new everyday. Today I read psalm 39 - I've read it before, more than once, but today it was wholly new.

And I think Grace is the most beautiful word.

It's great to see you jump right in and post

CARM has quite an active HRM section called Messianic Judaism. Although there may not be articles, there is some pretty heated dialogue on a number of topics Some of the nics to look for that have some really good responses and are quite solid are Dr Patti and JGIG in refuting the teachings of HRM. There used to be a cyber sword on there refuting the teachings, too, but I haven't seen them on in awhile.

Our Messianic Hebrew Roots sections are great and a good place to see what it's all about as well and we would love to answer questions and dialogue on it

And, thanks for the info. on the Carm Messianic Discussions. I went over there to take a look-see and there are lots of lively discussions going on. Makes my eyes glaze over. LOL! But, really glad to see it. I'll also check out those threads here that you mentioned. Lots to learn, and It's starting to make me feel a bit dizzy.

It made my eyes glassy and I got dizzy too so I quit going there

We offer an easier venue to surf and read and don't allow the kind of stuff that goes on in the HR forums. My experience is that they are quite antagonistic and not much is gained by trying to refute the teachings. Even though I still keep trying. After being hooked into the movement for while and then realizing the errors, I still have a deep passion to expose them
