I haven't read the book but my mum did (had it highly recommended to her) & found it nauseating & overly ambitious (it's almost impossible to write a fictional conversation with God & do God justice!). I've also read Vic's review & others and therefore I wouldn't recommend this book because I think mixing good & bad theology creates a lot of confusion (& possibly worse things!). e.g. I wouldn't recommend eating icecream if I knew there was even one sliver of glass in it...
