I also read Chris Evan's book. It was one of the most perverse and sacrilegious books I have ever read, due to the descriptions of his lust, molestations, and adulterous behavior - all cloaked in a religious setting. For someone who has promoted a relationship with Christ, I find nothing "redeeming" by reading this book. It is a hate filled evil presentation of what is supposed to be repentance for past actions, but instead is appalling and frightening with his gross explanations, horrible theologies interspersed throughout, and the elevation of the evil in his life as is pornographically revealed in the pages. The bottom line, according to Chris - is that there is no repentance for sin. It is not edifying reading.

What I found most tragic was the constant misapplication of Scripture and the total lack of and twisted facts that one would comprehend if they had actually read the Bible.

There is no clear testimony of God's forgiving grace. The blood of Christ is portrayed as a curse upon his head. The main content is that there is no forgiveness, but rather the wrath and curses of God under which all believers live and hope that some how God will have mercy on them. What is pictured is an angry vindictive Father who hates His children so much that He makes their lives a living hell. This is the god of Chris Evans.
