RE: rancherforchrist, aka Chris Evans & Doug Perry & FOTM
From Chris Evans' online book, Why Did God Choose you, I have pulled some quotes:

Page 7
Quote:“Jesus Christ is the pure and perfect Lamb Of God that descended to the depths of hell and led the captives out of hell in the train of His glorious robe"

This is a Copeland teaching that Jesus descended to the depths of hell.

-----and the Scripture for this event as described by Chris Evans is where ???...

Page 5
Quote:“Remember, satan was the most beautiful angel in the heavens before his fall. Wait a minute, “his fall?” Maybe God does make mistakes.”

This is a Copeland teaching – God made a mistake when he created satan...

Does God make mistakes? God who is perfect, without sin, omnicient, has righteous judgments...is imperfect? And can make a "mistake"?

Chapter 3 Page 20
Quote:“I have often been lead to believe sickness is a part of life for a believer, even when one is walking in obedience to the Lord. That is just another apathetic lie from the enemy that was designed to keep people in bondage … I am saying is that God did not design a flawed creation. God is perfect in every way, and thus, it is not in His character to created something that is flawed. God designed and created us, and the world that we live in, to operate in perfect health and harmony and unity… We are the ones that corrupted God’s perfect creation, which now seems to only bring sickness and death."

Sickness is part of being on a sinfilled planet, which began when sin entered through Adam. We didn't start that event. But we are part of it. Even the apostles faced sickness and physical distress, but it had nothing to do with their spiritual condition. And as these Scripture point out:

Matthew 9:5-8 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk? 6. But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. 7. And he arose, and departed to his house. 8. But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.

Joh 9:1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? 3 Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

2 Corinthians 12:5-10 Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. 6. For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. 7. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. 8. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

Many are sick because of trials and testings so that God can work in their lives. Some learn to depend fully on Him during these types of things, while others use these events to graciously minister to others simply because of going through these things. Others falsely attribute it to sin in their lives, while others recognise it for what it is.

The mention of being sick from a spiritual condition is found in reference to those pretending to be living for Christ and who take the remembrance of the cup and bread, meaning the significance of the New Testament sealed by Christ dying on the cross, unworthily. They condemn themselves by going through the ritual and not believing or knowing Christ.

1 Corinthians 11:24-32 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 25. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. 26. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. 27. Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. 29. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. 30. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 31. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 32. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

rancherforchrist claimed that he has eaten from garbage cans and left the impression it was common to go without. Throughout his book, and via other eyewitness testimony, he appears well taken care of, except for two paragraphs referring to the same incident, and which contradict each other.

Pg 93,94
Quote:“At this point I was sleeping in the back of my blazer at night, and then I looked for a job during the day. My health was deteriorating, I had no money, no credit cards, no food and my Blazer was almost out of gas. I hadn’t eaten anything in over a week and I lost all of the weight I had gained while I was at the resort. Not only had I not eaten in more than a week, I hadn’t showered or shaved in at least that long.

“I went to sleep on a Saturday night after listening to Pat Robertson on a cassette tape that I had in the glove box … The only thing I remember Pat Robertson saying on that tape went something like this. “God does not reveal His mysteries to the idle gazes of curiosity seekers.” Up to that moment all I had been was a curiosity seeker. I woke up the next morning more bitter than ever. Realizing it was Sunday morning, while still filled with bitterness, I asked God this question. “Well God, what shall we do today?” I was totally unaware that I had been fasting for over a week and I hadn’t spent much time with anyone besides God. As bitter and sarcastic as I was that morning, wouldn’t ya just know it, God showed up."

Fasting versus not eating are two different things.

The following is another view Chris Evans has of Jesus:

Page 17,18
Quote:“At the age of 45, I realized how corrupt my heart and mind were and I told the Lord, that there was no way I was ever going to be able to love Him or love people with the heart that I had. I asked Him to rip out my heart and cut off my head, and to put the heart of Christ in me and put the head and mind of Christ on me. Wouldn’t ya just know that He took me up on it? A few days after I prayed that prayer, I had a dream. In the dream, I saw Jesus take a sword and slice my chest open. He reached into my open chest and literally ripped out my heart and placed His heart in me. He closed the wound in my chest and poured His blood over me to heal the wound. He took the same sword, and with one swipe, my head went rolling off of my shoulders to the ground. I watched Him, as though from a distance. He then placed His own head on my shoulders, as though He had a spare. He then poured His blood over me again and healed the wound to my neck. When He was finished I noticed, that even though the wounds were healed, the scars still remained. My eyelids fluttered and I awoke as from a dream. As I remembered the dream, these words came out of my mouth, “wow, I’ll bet this is gonna hurt”. Immediately the Lord said to me, “it’s gonna hurt a lot Chris”. I’m here to tell you that He wasn’t joking. It did hurt a lot. I’m also here to tell you, that it was worth it. I have no regrets that I prayed that prayer. On that day I met Jesus in a very real way and He had His great and mighty sword in His hand. Jesus touched me in a very real way and forever changed my life. I will never be the same again.”

So according to Chris Evans not only did Jesus cut his heart and head off, He cut His own heart out and His head off, for Chris. And the Scripture for this gore imagery is...?

Isn't it enough that Christ was crucified for our sins and if we believe Him and repent, we are forgiven and made clean?

RE: rancherforchrist, aka Chris Evans & Doug Perry & FOTM
Chris Evans' fixation of blood and guts, violence, sex/pornography and so on has continued as part of the "ministry". Doug Perry and Chris Evans have used comic books/heroes, movies and such to establish how to 'go to war" against the demonic. What started as their own obsessions became leavened through their doctrines and beliefs. The movie '300', in what was their regular viewing, has become the essential viewing propaganda for their initiates.

Let's take a closer look at this "R" rated (much butchery, some lechery, sex scenes, nudity) movie that is a repeated must see for Chris Evans, and who lives it out in his various videos and messages, and goes on forays throughout the city to 'blast' demons with fantasy weapons one finds in comic books, movies and such.

Some quotes from a few movie reviews about "300":

Quote:"...This is not a movie about brave rebels fighting against some oppressive regime to safeguard freedom and democracy. When King Leonidas shouts “For freedom!” ... It’s mostly just jargon tossed into the trailers and the film for dim, easily manipulated people who get overly excited when they hear propaganda thrown around...Telling your soldiers they’re fighting to be free men right before they march to their deaths to defend your right to sit on a throne and sleep with a hot queen is also a great way to energize the troops, even if it doesn’t mean anything. ...Despite a lot of screaming to the contrary, King Leonidas and his men are really just fighting to keep a bunch of loudmouthed Persians from tromping across their lawn. When Xerxes and his multi-nation army show up on Sparta’s doorstep and demand allegiance, they also offer King Leonidas and his people the freedom to live the way they want. But this is Sparta, a nation of warriors bred for blood. Leonidas will not stand for his people to bend knee to anyone, ...This is the story not of freedom fighters, but of a stubborn man and a stubborn people obsessed with honor, glory, and war.

The costuming is fabulous, as are the bodies Snyder has put under the fabric.
Women who see it may cringe at some of the film’s brutality, but they’ll also swoon over the hundreds of ripped abs and statuesc bare bodies posed and on display throughout the movie. Snyder has a similar eye for female sensuality, with women clad in wispy fabrics. Guys aren’t likely to forget a brief scene in which Leonidas consults an Oracle, a mostly naked woman who connects to the spirit world through series of artistically erotic contortions. Black Snake Moan may have Christina Ricci on a chain, but in between all the blood and guts, 300’s careful costuming and sensuous style is intensely erotic. ... Snyder sticks too closely to the Frank Miller comic on which the film is based...

In 300, giving a great performance means more than simply saying your lines convincingly. A lot of it’s full on physicality. Gerard Butler’s Leonidas dominates the film, his presence is palpable whenever he’s on screen. When he bellows for his men to follow him into hell, his voice is chilling and full of raw power. Lena Headley is both sexy and strong as Butler’s wife, her desperation to bring him home alive is well tempered by how proud she is to be married a willing to march into death. As
Leonidas throws himself in the way of the Persians, it’s her job to rally her people into committing themselves to the fight, using his sacrifice as an example. Her role is pivotal, probably a lot more pivotal than it would be were this actual history.

But this isn’t history. Snyder’s take on the film is a fantasy, the way the battle would have looked in the minds of the Greeks, as they tell the story of the 300’s sacrifice..

Leonidas lead his men to the glory of death against overwhelming odds, doomed by the forces of Xerxes and history. "
[ Josh Tyler : 2007-03-01 300 movie review http://www.cinemablend.com/reviews/300-2149.html.]

Quote:"...King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) leads 300 prime Spartan porterhouses into battle against Persian forces commanded by Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), a decadent self-proclaimed deity who wants, as all good movie villains do, to rule the world....
... A gaggle of sickly, corrupt priests, bought off by the Persians, consult an oracular exotic dancer whose topless gyrations lead to a warning against going to war. And the local council is full of appeasers and traitors, chief among them a sardonic, shifty-eyed smoothy named Theron...." [Battle of the Manly Men: Blood Bath With a Message; By A. O. SCOTT; Published: March 9, 2007 http://movies.nytimes.com/2007/03/09/mov...thre.html]

Quote:"...300 Spartans go to war against an army of Persians, numbering 250,000, in the film version of Frank Miller's graphic novel about the 480 B.C. Battle of Thermopylae....Spears, swords and other handy phallic symbols pierce skin with startling regularity, causing great gushes of cartoon blood ...And what guys! Decked out like gladiators in a gay fashion layout, the soldiers from the Greek city-state of Sparta look gym-ready for battle in crotch-squeezing ensembles that expose as much flesh as an R rating will allow. Manliest of all is The Phantom of the Opera's Gerard Butler as Leonidas, the king with no patience for the cowards and boy-lovers on the Greek council....Queen Gorgo tries to persuade Theron to rally the council to help her husband by submitting to Theron's S&M sexual desires...The rest is all battle, all the time. And fanboys will thrill to the carnage and presumably forgive the puffed-up dialogue and regrettable lack of characterization. 300 is a movie blood-drunk on its own artful excess...." [Peter Travers Mar 7,2007 http://www.rollingstone.com/reviews/movi...1861/300.]

A closer look at the plot and missing or errant historical facts regarding the Spartans and their beliefs

Quote:Plot of the movie [300]:

Through Dilios' narration, the life of young Leonidas is depicted, chronicling his journey from a boy to a man through the Spartan doctrine of Agoge.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/300_(film)

Quote:...According to folklore, agoge was introduced by the semi-mythical Spartan law-giver Lycurgus, but its origins are thought to be between the 7th and 6th century BC,[3][4] when the regime trained male citizens from the ages of seven to twenty-nine.[1]

The aim of the system was to produce physically and morally strong males to serve in the Spartan army. It encouraged conformity and the importance of the Spartan state over one's personal interest, but also generated the future elites of Sparta.[1] The men would become the "walls of Sparta" because Sparta was the only Greek city with no defensive walls – they had been demolished at the order of Lycurgus. Discipline was strict and the males were encouraged to fight amongst themselves to determine the strongest member of the group.

The agoge was prestigious throughout the Greek world, and many aristocratic families from other cities vied to send their sons to Sparta to participate in the agoge for varying periods of time. The Spartans were very selective in which young man they would permit to enroll. Such honours were usually awarded to the próxenoi of Sparta in other cities, and to few other families of supreme ancestry and importance. ...

At around age 12, the boys would enter into an institutionalized relationship with a young adult male Spartan. Plutarch described this form of Spartan pederasty, wherein somewhat older warriors would engage promising youths in a long-lasting relationship with a pedagogic motive. The boy was expected to request the relationship, and it was seen as a method to pass on knowledge and maintain loyalty on the battlefield.

At the stage of paidiskoi, around the age of 18, the students became reserve members of the Spartan army. They also (or probably just a small group of very promising ones) were taken to the Crypteia (Krypteia), a sort of festival testing their skills by declaring war on the helot slave population, encouraging the students to murder those who were out at night and take their food.[1]..."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agoge

Quote:Pederasty or paederasty (US: /ˈpɛdəræsti/, UK: /ˈpiːdəræsti/) is a (usually erotic) relationship between an older man and an adolescent boy outside his immediate family. The word pederasty derives from Greek (paiderastia) "love of boys",[2] a compound derived from παῖς (pais) "child, boy" and ἐραστής (erastēs) "lover". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pederasty

PEDERASTY
Quote:...Thirdly, the film spreads the misconception that the Persians were generally homosexual. There is of course, no historical evidence for this. In fact, it was the Dorian Spartans who were commonly and, in fact, flagrantly open about homosexuality, which was an integral part of Dorian Spartan society. Even Alexander the Accursed, the Macedonian invader and destroyer of cuneiform civilization, was said to have been a pederast. As Keith Wikle notes, "Next, I know a lot of blokes who will cringe at this, but the selection of the 300 by Leonidas may actually have been 300 homosexual pairs. The agoge (Spartan military school) was an indoctrination into pederasty where a teenage boy was paired with an older more experienced Spartan for initiation. So those men were really, really, close. That never made it into the comic or the film either. I'm sure 17 year old boys would not pay $8.00 to see 300 gay men cuddle under red cloaks before being annihilated. But it is an important part of the story." (Wikle 2007)

"So common was homosexuality in ancient Greece that it came to be known as "Greek love" (Symonds 1901). Further, Lesbianism is named after the Greek island of Lesbos. In effect, the Spartan military barracks had a form of institutionalized homosexual rape, with the seniors forcing the younger recruits to give in to their beastly lusts. Also, the Spartan military camps were nothing but robber schools, for recruits were also not given food so that they had to learn to steal it, in effect making thieves out of an entire nation.
http://payvand.com/news/07/mar/1324.html

Quote:Spartan pederasty, the traditional intimate and pedagogic friendship between a man and a boy, a custom held in common with other Dorian tribes, is thought to have either been introduced at the time of the Dorian invasion, around 1200 B.C., or to have been instituted in the seventh century B.C. in emulation of that in Crete, which had evolved in response to population pressure. Sparta is thought to be the first city to practice athletic nudity, which evolved in parallel with formal pederastic practices.

The Spartans believed that the love of an older, accomplished aristocrat for an adolescent boy was essential to his formation as a free citizen.

What can be said about such things, except from the Scriptures.

Philippians 4:8-9 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Ephesians 5:3-12 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4. Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. 5. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7. Be not ye therefore partakers with them. 8. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9. (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10. Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

Mark 7:20-23 And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. 21. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, 22. Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: 23. All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Galatians 5:19-25 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20. Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23. Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Thanks for all the detail and for the scriptures which reveal how deceitful this "ministry" of these 2 men is. I know I merely touched on this with my questions, so it is good to see the scriptural backup you have provided. How very sad to go to Chris' website and see new people have joined up with him.

I was sure that Chris' "prayer" for me was manipulation and I suspected a "curse", but it didn't trouble me then and it doesn't now, except to make me feel sad that someone is so deceived.

People so often desperately want to be loved, that words of "love" from deceivers such as Chris can draw them in. They forget, or do not know that the love of God is not "bangs and whistles" but is steady, constant, a strong tower, peace. Not chaos and confusion.

Phillipians 4:23 "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen."

this is a post from someone that knew Chris and was under his teaching.

Hi There,

I have been brought out from under Chris's teachings in part to you. I wanted to ask you to keep up the good work. And let you know others need you. There are many out there that are suffering from these teachings.

May I say that these men are decieved and the spirit they are walking in "IS NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT". they vocus on the voice and not the word of God.
blessing to you Vic for exposing Chris Evans AKA Rancherforchrist AKA GotWings.

RE: rancherforchrist, aka Chris Evans & Doug Perry & FOTM
Thank you Mary and HisTruth for the kind encouragment. These guys are almost a dime a dozen.

I think what I find the most disturbing is how easily people are seduced into thinking that what they have to offer is somehow good and sound. I do believe many are not grounded in the Word and are focused on experiential and emotional and that is part of the lure of such false prophets and false teachers. People are dissatisfied with where they are at spiritually because of that and seek other ways to 'experience' God. Unfortunately the Truth is right before them. And that is, it has always been about a relationship with Jesus Christ and obedience to Him and His Word, with the Word being the standard to which we measure our doctrine and beliefs. Without adding to or taking away or making things say what we want them to say.

Some false teachers are harder to spot than others, but it always comes out who and what a person is about, given time. I wish Chris had been more willing to expound on the threads I specifically started for him to allow him to present his more disturbing beliefs, but he was a little more cagey than hoped. 14294

That said, I have a bit more to post on their teachings, because I think they are relevant to the expose. There's so much that could be evaluated but, this should be a solid warning for those so inclined to follow such heretics.

RE: rancherforchrist, aka Chris Evans & Doug Perry & FOTM
Chris Evans' Denominationalism and City Church doctrine:

rancherforchrist started a thread here called Denominationalism. In it he pointed out the evils of denominations, pastors and local hierarchy and stated that what Jesus taught was far different than what the apostles taught---thereby making it appear that what the apostles taught was their personal opinion and not inspired by God.

Then in other posts and in his 'book', after researching Chris Evans beliefs and those of his partner, Doug Perry of Fellowship of the Martyrs, it was actually like reading mirror information on the same topic. Some of it word for word. What became clear was the attempt by these two, who have claimed to be the 'two witnesses", which is ludicrous at best based simply on their fruit, to promote their 'city church' beliefs, whereby all other churches become part of theirs. The concept of hierarchy as an obstacle is removed by adherents recognising and elevating them to the leadership status they desire and require. Further, they believe that the 'church' and body of Christ is beaten.

From Chris' book: Chapter 5 Page 40
Quote:“I know that I have painted a sad and dreary picture of the churches. If you don’t agree with me, then please tell me why the church has not been raptured yet. If you don’t agree with me, that’s ok, but please tell me, why are Jesus and His bride not united? Why haven’t we been married to our Bridegroom yet. The only possible explanation is simple. We, the bride of Christ, are not clean. Jesus is not going to marry a bride that is spotted and blemished. This church, which we refer to as the bride of Christ, is not only spotted and blemished. She is beaten and bloody and divided into thousands of pieces.”

And the Scriptures say:

Romans 12:4-5 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5. So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

1 Corinthians 12:12-14 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 13. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 14. For the body is not one member, but many.

Romans 8:30-39 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32. He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33. Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. 34. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. 35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36. As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are
accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:57-58 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

As with all heretics and heresies there is nothing new under the sun. The concept of the city church belief promoted by these two, is found with the much used writings and teachings of Watchman Nee.

Doug Perry himself has listed his City Church teaching with this expansion for further reading:

There are people that have issues with Watchman Nee, but when you get right down to why, their issue is with Witness Lee, one of Watchman Nee's students, not with Watchman himself. He spent his last twenty years or so in a Chinese prison for the Gospel. Witness Lee came to America and started his "Little Flock" groups based on the "Local Church" model, but it wasn't truly a city church - they're still factious and divisive and trying to get everybody to be like them. Anyway, we at FOTM would strongly urge you to give this book a chance. There is a lot of Jesus in there. www.fellowshipofthemartyrs.com/pdf/watchman_nee_-_the_normal_christian_life.pdf

Lets peruse a few reviews and teachings of Watchman Nee regarding these issues:

Quote: "Local Church, The, Watchman Nee, Anaheim, CA: Controversial movement begun in China in the early 1920s by Ni To-sheng (Watchman Nee). Growth and controversy developed during the administration of their second leader, the late Witness Lee, who moved to America in 1962 founding Living Stream Ministry. Among issues drawing criticism from evangelical Christians is the Local Church's use of the term “mingling” to describe the relationship between God and believers (i.e., Christians become both divine and human like Jesus). Some evangelicals have also charged that the church compromises the Trinity doctrine by confusing the Persons of the Holy Spirit and the Son in a way similar to modalism. The organization's exclusivity has also comme under fire. According to Lee, each city can and should have only one church. Denominationalism is seen as of the Devil. According to critics, the effect is that Lee-led local churches, usually called by the name of their cities (e.g., the Church in Anaheim or the Church in Chicago), become the only true expressions of the Body of Christ. Thus, according to former members, all other churches or denominations are seen as being outside the will of God or not true churches at all. The Local Church has also gained a reputation for threatening legal action to prevent unfavorable public evaluation of its movement. Even Christian critics have been targeted, adding to the evidence that they do not consider believers outside their movement to be true or obedient Christians (1 Corinthians 6:1–8). http://www.watchman.org/cat95.htm#Local"

=======

Quote: Nee considered the western form of church life (especially the existence of denominations) "an affront to God".38 He berated western missionaries for shamelessly asking for money for themselves.39 He deplored the clergy/laity distinction that was so strong in western Christianity.40 "While the responsibility of expanding the work of the Church lay chiefly, if not solely on the shoulder of the pastor in the other denominational churches, Nee concentrated on training all the believers to do the work of God."

Nee was clearly influenced by the Plymouth Brethren and the Keswick, or "victorious life," form of teaching. He also read and admired Hudson Taylor, George Meuller, and Madam Guyon. These influences are evident from the time of "The Spiritual Man" (1923) up until "The Normal Christian Life."

Late in his career, Nee is said to have developed some doctrinal aberrations that went beyond his usual purism. These areas had to do with a heavy emphasis on authority and submission, and an increasing tendency to dichotomize the material and the spiritual, or the ideal and the real. Some of the literature published during the past ten years claiming to originate from the last 5 years of Nee's ministry are definitely deserving of criticism at many points.
At the same time, it can not be denied that Nee was extreme in some areas, including spiritual authority and ecclesiology.
The emphasis on delegated human authority was in perfect harmony with Confucian ethics. Confucius taught that parents were never wrong, and that even when they were, one should obey them. http://www.xenos.org/essays/neeframe.htm

=============
It is also in Watchman Nee's writings which show where Chris Evans and Doug Perry likely got their ideas from, concerning a constant repentant thing and the obedience factor, and 'sacrificing' everything. Nee of course did not go as far as Chris Evans does, but it is entirely plausible that the basis for his various mantras came through Nee's writings, because Nee has influenced the charismatic movement considerably and many within that movement hold his writings as quite spiritual and edifying.

Quote: ....For God no cost is too high. Anything can be sacrificed if only we may please Him. Let us daily learn to be obedient children. ....God's people must not love their soul life even to the point of death. .... He does not want our heart to be attached anywhere because He wants us to serve Him freely...

In so obeying Christ as to disregard his natural affection, a believer's natural love suffers intensely. Such sorrow and pain becomes a practical cross to him. Deep are the heart wounds and many are the tears when one has to forfeit the one he loves... Love flows from the denial of the self life. Blood shedding is the source of blessing... Christians should not be content merely with knowing mentally the doctrine of the Holy Spirit as given in the Bible; they also need to know Him experimentally... To remove warfare from a spiritual life is to render it unspiritual. Life in the spirit is a suffering way, filled with watching and laboring, burdened by weariness and trial, punctuated by heartbreak and conflict. It is a life utterly outpoured for the kingdom of God and lived in complete disregard for one's personal happiness. ...
[Spiritual Man by Watchman Nee found at: http://heprayed.com/Excerpts/Excerpt-SpiritualMan.htm]

Apparently Nee forgot, and in total contradiction to other statements, Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

With regard to 'blood shedding', Chris Evans believes the voice he listens to told him his own blood has power and to cut himself in the spirtual realm. Doug Perry proclaimed, "...that the blood of Jesus was NOT ENOUGH! It could not protect ...from a full on onslaught from the pit of hell - ... Only with the mighty weapons he was developing and ability to SEE the demons could we hope to overcome them and send them packing..."

They also believe in summoning demons, so they can "torment and torture them." [email source] Keep in mind that they both believe they have been given the keys to the abyss and can judge people and 'demons' and send them there. They dont believe Jesus is sufficient to have victory; their blood is powerful...they are equal or above Jesus--they can go directly to the Throne --face to face with God. Anything God has done---they can do (better?}, because they have the power.

There is no scripture to support these heresies, witchcraft and occult based activities and beliefs. The Scriptures do say:

Col 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

1 John 5:4-5 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

2 Corinthians 2:14-17 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. 15. For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: 16. To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? 17. For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

1 Peter 5:7-11 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 8. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9. Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 10. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Jas 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

36. As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Mat 12:16 And charged them that they should not make him known: 17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
19 He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. 20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

Act 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

2Ti 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Heb 10:30 For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God
.

Odd is it not, that Doug Perry and Chris Evans would presume to claim they hold the keys to hell, when in fact they are leading people there. And that the shed blood of Jesus "was not Enough", but, Doug Perry could do what God could not--and defeat the enemy. And the Scriptures say:

Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Rev 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

RE: rancherforchrist, aka Chris Evans & Doug Perry & FOTM
Chris Evans and Doug Perry believe that unless a person hears the 'voice of 'god' they are not of God, or are following another gospel or another Jesus, etc. To them the spiritual growth of a person is seen by having that voice and being obedient to it, no matter how sinful the activities, no matter how contrary to Scripture, that voice is to be listened to at all costs.

God does not call us to sin for Him. He does not lie nor contradict the written Word. One has to believe that the Word is Truth in order to accept those Truths. But when a voice overrides the Scriptures, dictating activities that are clearly not of God, we know that what is being followed is not God, but a lying spirit.

2 Thess 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

Chris Evans and Doug Perry believe they have such a high calling, are so elite, are so special and so called by God to be 'prophets', the "two witnesses" and other puffed up ideas, that they also believe that the Scriptures cannot and do not apply to them. They believe that they alone---can get good fruit from evil trees. They believe that God leads into deception and temptation and sin.
Either a person is living for Christ and in sound doctrine and understanding, or they are not. The Scriptures are clear.

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon

Romans 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?...19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. 21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.

They do not see the Truth in God's Word. Instead they have chased after false teachers and false doctrines, made up doctrines and embraced lies as truth. That is not of God. They have been led away from God, instead of too Him and their whole purpose is taking others with them. God does not lead His people away from Him or the Truth of His Word. The reason many cannot understand God's Word is also found in Scripture. God says the natural man cannot receive or understand the things of God. God promises that He will give understanding to those who belong to Him. It is a promise which He cannot and will not break.

1 Cor 2: 9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. 14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Chris Evans and Doug Perry appear to believe that God can lead into deception and temptation and sin. But the Scriptures, the very Word of God, say otherwise.

James 1: 12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. 13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16 Do not err, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. 18 Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures... 21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. 26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

You cannot be in darkness, embrace lies and sin as truth and say you have fellowship with God. Why? Because God Himself said so. The proof of our fellowship and walk with Him is in these verses too, . His Word is our Standard of Truth.

John 17: 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

1 John 1: 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.[b] 6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked....21 [b]I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

Did Christ walk in deception and lies? Is that how He walked and is that the example we are called to "walk" after?

Titus 1:1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; 2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

I have done a word study and cross referencing on "obeying God","obey" "love Him", "truth". , as it is in reference to these issues. It shows the proof of our love for Him, the purpose of suffering in righteousness. It is not being willing to sin 'for god' and be deceived and call evil good or of God. That is not our calling as God's people.

Gal 5:7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? 8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. 9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

The reason for the claim of needing to hear a voice--the voice of God--is that Jesus said those that know Him will hear His voice. His Words are His voice to us. The Word of God is what we are to hear and obey and understand. The Word of God, which is made alive by the Holy Spirit, does not lead to error or destruction for those who Love the Lord Jesus Christ. But according to Chris Evans, Doug Perry and many others who hold these beliefs, the voice they hear assures them that it is right before God and of God, to believe a lie and call it truth, to reject and overturn Scriptures, because they hear 'his' voice, and they have this high calling to believe a lie.

That is a voice I would be rejecting fully and completely. God does not lie, nor does He contradict His Word of Truth. Nor would He call us to reject His Word and disobey it. Not that He cannot speak to people, but He would not lead His people to deception.

John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

John 15: 1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. 8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. 9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. 11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full....14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

RE: rancherforchrist, aka Chris Evans & Doug Perry & FOTM
I am going to quote from 'Steve' who worked with and had Chris Evans stay at their home, and they also went on 'missions trips' together. Keep in mind that Chris Evans on this forum made it appear he worked alone, was homeless, etc. This is from Steve Wilsons' video series called:

"FOTM mission trip with Chris Evans (rancherforchrist) to L.A. 2008
Youtube posted by “hetgow” [Steve Wilson]." Sheep was kind enough to transcribe the series for me:

Quote:Part 1

The LA FOTM mission trip did NOT do a lot of things.

We did NOT preach the gospel!
We did NOT pray for those who received the gospel!
We did NOT give as we saw need, etc!

The FOTM mission trip was to Chris another bride [#4 or #5], which would somehow spiritually benefit all believers everywhere! Mind you what Chris claims is “god” [the voice he listens to and obeys] told him to divorce his other previous believing wives and go get other one/s.

BTW it was this same “voice” that told him to marry another woman while he was legally married to a previous wife [bigamy], but it was okay cause “god said so”. This teaching is held by both Chris Evans and Doug Perry.

FOTM LA MISSION TRIP

Numerology – using numbers to support continued sin
Calling bad things, good – “God told me to…[sin]”
Pseudo-spiritual warfare – torturing demons/spreading their blood on people
Bad fruit/conflicting events – people zombies, demons and more
How a prophet is made and False Prophecies – “Thus said the Lord…[oops]”

FOTM MISSIONS: Numerology

Numeroloy: the study of the occult and esoteric [secret] meanings of numbers and their supposed influence on human life.

IOW people look for recurring numbers to justify a course of action, rather than following Jesus Christ and the example found in God’s word, the bible.

Over and over again Chris Evans used number and numerology to justify sin instead of the clear teaching and examples in the Bible.

For instance when Chris lived in our home he said many times…

“I looked at the clock, calendar, mile marker, etc [anything that had #s] and it summed up to 8 [8 = new beginnings] – that means this 4th [spiritual/physical] marriage is a new beginning for me; God promised me this bride and this is just another confirmation [of him leaving his previous wives which this “voice” told him to divorce]…”

RE: rancherforchrist, aka Chris Evans & Doug Perry & FOTM
The proof of our love for Jesus Christ is in keeping His Word. Not rejecting or overturning it or going after the occult or lies as truth.

1 John 5: 1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Romans 2: 4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? 5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: 8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, 9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; 10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: 11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

2 Peter 2: 18 For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. 20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

Gal 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

It is the Word of God and the Holy Spirit that gives understanding and correction and sound doctrine, all through the Scriptures. To deny that is to deny the Word of God. Suffering persecution for Christ is not by living in deception, but living for Christ and righteousness and His Truth. Lies are not part of that.

2 Timothy 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. 9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. 10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

1 Peter 4: 16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. 17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? 19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Can you get good fruit from evil trees? What is the fruit of the charismatic movement? Truth or deception? What is kabbalah/gematria/numerology, calling evil good and all the other winds of doctrine and false teachings ? Truth or deception?
Is the Word of God the Standard that ALL God's people must adhere to? Does God lie and lead into deception those who are living for Christ? Is that a Scriptural promise? Chris Evans and Doug Perry are walking in deception and darkness and call it truth.

As far as the so called prophecies and dreams and visions. That all comes from the same source as the voice.

Jeremiah 29:8 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the
God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed. 9 For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD.

God does not lie.

1 John 2:21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth....27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

If we desire things that are not in keeping with Biblical truth, we may get what we ask for, but it will never satisfy and will never be what God wants to give us.

Psalm 106:13 They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel: 14 But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert. 15 And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.

God's will is that we obey His Word. His Will be done, by us not sinning and being holy as He is Holy, by full dependence on Christ.

Some apparently believe that they can get good fruit from evil trees, despite what the Scriptures say...
Job 14:4 "Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? not one."

Jas 3:12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

Matth 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Proverbs 14: 5 A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies. 6 A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth. 7 Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge. 8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit. 9 Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.

RE: rancherforchrist, aka Chris Evans & Doug Perry & FOTM
This is from Steve Wilsons' video series called: "FOTM mission trip with Chris Evans (rancherforchrist) to L.A. 2008
Youtube posted by “hetgow” [Steve Wilson]."

Quote: Part 2
Chris told me the “voice” he claims is God/Jesus, told him to expose himself in public and to urinate on buildings, state lines, sidewalks, casinos, etc to “take back God’s land” and that we might have to do this in Los Angeles.

The “voice” Chris listens and obeys, told him to slit his wrists with a knife in the spirit. Chris’ blood would spill on the ground as he walked or drove, and it would kill demons and pour out repentance on people, without them even knowing it.

The “voice” Chris listens and obeys also told him to do lots of other questionable things, for example:

To break speed limits and not wear seat belts
To chew tobacco even through it has 4,000-6,000+ toxins/poisons
To watch movies containing graphic violence and sex scenes
To abandon his believing wife/s [multiple divorces]
To marry a person while still legally married to another [bigamy]
Telling people to store/distribute prescription drugs [narcotics] to people other than who it was specifically prescribed to [a felony in all 50 states]

Chris claims the voice he obeys, told him to torture demons and kill them with various weapons [hammers, swords, guns, flame throwers, etc] and then take the blood of dead demons and spread it on other believers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhEGKwe9bR0&NR=1
