RE: Is Easter Pagan?
Quote: "Pascha" is the true celebration of Christ's Resurrection. The early Christians and disciples did not celebrate Christ's Resurrection on Sunday, nor with bunnies or colored eggs. Pascha is similar to the original feast of Passover, but with the added dimension of Christ as the Passover lamb, and the spiritual understanding of everything the celebration truly means. You put the word pascha there in inverted commas so am I correct in assuming that you mean something different to the usual easter/pascha/pascua? And if so what is it? It also seems you have a fixation with bunnies and eggs. Please reconsider and maybe read up on different christian traditions or something since in many parts of the world those just don't come into celebrations at all.It may be an english and american thing but not all christians are english or american. |
