Keep the Sabbath, Saturday or Sunday & Rest in Christ

The verses you posted for us don't actually show that the apostles continued to keep the Sabbath.What it does show is that the whole town would gather together on the Sabbath as was the custom among the jewish people at the time.


Act 13:42 And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
Act 13:43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
Act 13:44 And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.
Act 13:45 But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spoke against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming.
Act 13:46 Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing you put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.


We see the Jews were filled with envy because the only reason that such a large crowd,says the whole city, had come was because of Paul and Barnabas.It was a Jewish cutom to assemble on the Sabbath and of course the apostles took advantage of this for proclaiming the Gospel.
Incidentally the torah of Moses prohibited going out of one's dwellings on the Sabbath...so no , they were not keeping the Sabbath as commanded.

Exo 16:29 See, for the LORD has given you the sabbath, therefore he gives you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide you every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
