Greetings
Hi my name is Andre, and I live in Edenvale, South Africa. Ihave been a born again believe in Christ since 1979 and I have had an exciting and often dynamic experiences with the Lord where he proves that indeed He is alive and actively working in our lives through His wonderful Holy Spirit. My gifting in Christ is ministry to young people and bringing a word from God through a prophetic word or a now word for the church from His word. I often write and God blesses me with analogies to explain His word in a simple yet spiritual way. Often the Lord gives me a word that He wants His people to hear and I am always amazed how time and time again He confirms that word the very day it is given. We serve a dynamic and Living Saviour who has no equal, what a privelage to know Him and to be called His child, friend, brother, servant, ambassador and holy ones of God. Always thankful for His sacrifice and love for me. The cross as a icon for the church has been shown to me by the Lord to be false, I was just born again and understood it to be idolatry. one church that I went to has this image in the most prominant place in the church building, illuminated by lighting from behind, clearley more than just a symbol. Are we not to worship Him in Spirit and in truth as His word says. the Holy Spirit is our reminder that Christ is Lord not a cross, by reading the bible and praying everyday we are reminded. One thing the Lord Jesus did say, what would be a sign to other, its an action and choice of our free will, to love one another, to show the world that Jesus lives. How we often neglect this commandment, but recognise a dead and wooden cross. Andre, in service of Christ the Saviour |

On the cross issue, please consider posting your thoughts to this thread> The cross of Christ vs the "cross" > http://www.seekgod.ca/forum/showthread.php?tid=524 There may be other threads where this issue has been discussed, as I seem to recall making some posts about it. Please do remember to read the forum rules if you haven't, and note that newbies are not allowed to post links or start threads until 50 posts. Thank you for that consideration. We do indeed serve a Living Savior!

You make some very good points, and as Vic says it would be good if you looked at the threads and perhaps joined the discussion. South Africa is very much in my prayers today as they vote in the election. Phillipians 4:23 "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen." |
