Gosh it is so frustrating that Stern masquerades as a translation.Have a look at that verse in different translations.
Sterns
2Co 3:15 Yes, till today, whenever Moshe is read, a veil lies over their heart.
2Co 3:16 "But," says the Torah, "whenever someone turns to ADONAI, the veil is taken away."
2Co 3:17 Now, "ADONAI" in this text means the Spirit. And where the Spirit of ADONAI is, there is freedom.
KJV
2Co 3:15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
2Co 3:16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
NIV
2Co 3:15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts.
2Co 3:16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
DaughterofthMostHigh don't think that what you are reading in the CJB is a translation. The NT section is not a proper translation but a paraphrase and as you can see from the above example Stern adds and takes away things from the text.
It's terrible that people(I once was one of them) buy this Bible thinking that they are getting a reasonably accurate translation and instead are deceived into reading a butchered paraphrase of the NT.
Sorry that I am being harsh but it really annoys me to see sincere people that think that they are reading Scripture deceived.

Thank you. I have other versions and I am aware of translations. I agree with the translations you posted. But don't you see that it shows that when Ad-nai is accepted and and the Ruach HaKodesh is in a believers life, He (the Father) gives us wisdom and the scriptures open up? I'm not arguing. I agree with what you're saying. Plain and simply put when we receive the gift of the Ruach we have access to understanding that we didn't before. Yes? Also this question is totally off the subject but I'd love some suggestions for books to add to my amazon wish list to order. I have quite a few now I use as study tools but would love more suggestions. Thank you! :D
