RE: Moved from Intro thread: Christian Identity & British Israelism
Quote:You've cited another verse that does not mention a covenant, does not establish a covenant, does not describe a covenant. Since you've quoted this one though, I'll add that 'the mountain of the LORD's house' is well known prophecy code for Israel (the sea, or the raging sea, or winds, were all non-Israelites). In the Ezekiel verse you miss the if.A lot of what God promised to Israel was pretty much dependant on them being obedient.Time and time He called to them and showed them what coul dor would happen if they were faithful and many times He warned and showed what would happen if they weren't. Regarding the promise about his House being a House of prayer for all nations , it seems that that also had been dependant on the Israelites being obedient. What God promised to the Israelites there was unfortunately annulled by the behvaiour of the leaders and the people.Jesus referred to this when He said that they had made His House into a den of thieves. Isa 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people. Mat 21:13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves As to God establishing a covenant with someone other than Israel, I had already answered that previously with Adam, Noah and Abraham. |
