RE: Moved from Intro thread: Christian Identity & British Israelism
Quote:You've cited another verse that does not mention a covenant, does not establish a covenant, does not describe a covenant. Since you've quoted this one though, I'll add that 'the mountain of the LORD's house' is well known prophecy code for Israel (the sea, or the raging sea, or winds, were all non-Israelites).

Isaiah is prophesying to the House of Israel in [Isa 42:6-7], telling them what God has promised them, not to non-Israelites. I'm serious in my request, can you show me where God establishes a covenant with anyone other than Israel?

As a sign of encouragement, He's a verse to share that restates my position clearly [Exo 19:5] "Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine;"

Of course, God is not saying all people would be his treasure possession, he's identifying the particular group he's addressing (Israel), citing the covenant He gave them.

If you won't point to a text, that actually has God establishing a covenant, could you at least explain why you don't believe Jesus' words (or confirm you do completely)?

In the Ezekiel verse you miss the if.A lot of what God promised to Israel was pretty much dependant on them being obedient.Time and time He called to them and showed them what coul dor would happen if they were faithful and many times He warned and showed what would happen if they weren't.
Regarding the promise about his House being a House of prayer for all nations , it seems that that also had been dependant on the Israelites being obedient. What God promised to the Israelites there was unfortunately annulled by the behvaiour of the leaders and the people.Jesus referred to this when He said that they had made His House into a den of thieves.

Isa 56:7 Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Mat 21:13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves

As to God establishing a covenant with someone other than Israel, I had already answered that previously with Adam, Noah and Abraham.
