119Ministries & Jim Staley, rico cortez, brad scott, scot dryer, bill cloud
I was asked about two ministries today.

One was straitwaytruth.com with a Charles Dowell, who is a combination of Hebrew Roots, Israelite community (believes original Israelites were all black) sabbatarian, under the law, charismatic deliverance, healings, tongues, "the Holy Ghost Power," etc. Uses the name Jesus and(Yahshua)< which is incorrect. Believes all should meet in home churches and live in Christian communities.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The other was 119ministriees.com which is of interest. As the person who wrote asking me about this group stated, "They seem to be full of double speak, but their presentation is shinier. They do like Paul Washer for his straightforwardness, but Washer would most likely distance himself from them."

IN their double speak on the What is the Gospel they say this:

Quote:Though we consider Washer's presentation an accurate reflection of the gospel (salvation through faith by grace) and he also accurately presents obedience as evidence of our faith (thus outward obedience and inward faith must co-exist if it is true inward faith), Washer does not yet teach obedience to the whole Word as does 119 Ministries. (Paul does not teach obdience dietary commandments, Sabbath, etc.) This is not evident in Washer's teaching, but we want to avoid any confusion through this disclaimer. 119 Ministries subscribes to the same gospel, but teaches obedience all of the commandments of God instead of just some of them. Also, though Christ and the cross is certainly a massive part of the gospel (good news), the WHOLE gospel is the WHOLE Word of God, which is truly "good news" for all.
119ministries.com/what-is-the-gospel-

So what they say is, what Washer said is good, but he's really not accurate at all. "Washer does not yet teach obedience to the whole Word as does 119 Ministries" . And then they change the Gospel message. Icon_new_shocked

The reason Washer would likely not be teaching keeping the Sinai covenant is because Jesus nailed those commandments to the cross and we are under the NEW Covenant. As has been discussed on many threads here and in many articles.

"but teaches obedience all of the commandments of God instead of just some of them"

119ministries does not 'teach obedience' but rather their spew of 'renewed covenant' and being under the law---and which of them is abiding and keeping the Sinai covenant as God directed as they claim---with no Temple? with our Passover Lamb, Jesus Christ, who gave the final sacrifice. Are they sacrificing animals for sin etc, which is now contrary to Christ and if not, they are in fact teaching contrary to the Sinai covenant. No

Here's some links dealing with their claim about keeping all the commandments, the feasts etc.

and there's so much more. 119ministries was a puzzler because some of the rhetoric sounded so familiar, and I couldn't help but think Brad Scott and Rico Cortez, but the leadership have hidden their names from a cursory read of "aboutus" and their publishings fall under "119ministries". However. Why should it not be a surprise that it is the same old same old. Smiley-danger

If one reviews their domain registration information we can see in the site profile in the meta keywords, the following >
http://whois.domaintools.com/119ministries.com >>>
Quote:torah, law, truth, word, bible, christian, yahweh, yhwh, yhvh, yeshua, yahsuah, teaching, passion for truth, rico cortez, brad scott, scot dryer, bill cloud, jim staley, wildbranch, love, light, way, truth, life, psalm 119, freedom, liberty, paul, jesus, god, father, son

So we have, "passion for truth, rico cortez, brad scott, scot dryer, bill cloud, jim staley, wildbranch" listed in their tags plus the alternate name of testeverything.net. Plus Mark Biltz, Hebrew for Nations radio, Truth2u radio, they have andrew roths junk, and there's other names connected to them, but the group above is apparently the 'leadership'.

And then perusing the website itself things like this pop up and particularly the blog.

I couldn't find anywhere on their site, where it actually showed upfront and openly, who 119ministries leadership actually were. Noooooo

2Co 8:21 Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

If you want to do a google search --run it like this and it shows them in 119ministries website > 119ministries + rico cortes + jim staley + brad scott + scott dryer + bill cloud

Looks like these characters have all the tech and flash to attempt to draw people to them - likely due to using the GLC, Jim Staley on World Net Daily, Bill Cloud hits the Christian arena with Perry Stone, prophecy groups etc, etc--they are fully utilizing all media and now giving the appearance of doing giveaways---with people able to support them by donations and buy their products as well. They do sell their stuff also.

Brad Scott > http://www.seekgod.ca/forum/showthread.php?tid=379
Bill Cloud > http://www.seekgod.ca/forum/showthread.php?tid=381

What a little empire they are attempting to build and their teachings include the Greater Exodus that Monte Judah was first spouting--and which his teaching of it on their site is linked directly to false prophet Monte Judah's site. > .119ministries.com/the-end-of-days-series/view/6419/the-greater-exodus

For Monte Judah see: Monte Judah, Kabbalist, False Prophet & False Prophecies http://www.seekgod.ca/montejudah.htm
Part 2: Monte Judah's False Prophecies http://www.seekgod.ca/montejudah2.htm

And just like Monte Judah, They are promoting making little communities on acreages people are encouraged to buy and where families can be autonomous but have the community. Birds of a feather... They even had a video from Michael Rood-Truth and Tradition, but it's missing, maybe because of his latest split with Glen McWilliams--although that shouldn't make a difference since it happens so often. And he's a proven false prophet also...

For Michael Rood see > http://www.seekgod.ca/forum/showthread.php?tid=343 http://www.seekgod.ca/topichrministries.htm#michael

They claim that all of their teachings are free on site.

Quote:ALL of our teachings are ALWAYS made available for free on our website. We will NEVER charge to teach the Word. We just ask that you TEST what we teach. Also, use our teachings (authored and produced by 119 Ministries) in any capacity you would like. We do not believe in copyrighting our material. It is to serve you, not us, thus, no copyright. Donations and support welcomed, but not required. Shalom!

Well that really isn't a big concession is it? Isn't it common for most ministries to provide some written content for people to read? with many hoping to snag donations and tithes through that and others by selling their hard copies, written, audio and dvd's etc?

And it's sort of like the gang's all here, because then we have them selling Jeff Benners Ancient Hebrew chart. Now currently he has added a few columns including Greek to his Ancient hebrew chart. However, as far back as July 25, 2011, we see the chart that is being sold in the Merchandise section of 119ministries > http://web.archive.org/web/2011072500490...chart.html versus 119ministries.com/inc/sdetail/2145/2202

"Ancient Eberiyt (Hebrew) Alphabet Chart - Laminated This is a complete laminated ancient Hebrew alphabet chart that can be used as a resource for your studies.
Price: $2.25

How odd when Jeff Benner states on his chart page the following:

Quote:Copyright © 1999-2007 Ancient Hebrew Research Center Please feel free to use, copy or distribute any material on this site for non-profit educational purposes only.

So they want to give the appearance of giving away their teachings---at least some of them--while selling others and selling Benner's chart, which I suppose is supposed to be free.

For Jeff Benner see > known as Nomad Man in the thread Translational Inconsistencies http://www.seekgod.ca/forum/showthread.php?tid=58 and a search will show other threads

119 ministries is Two House and Hebrew Roots fringe meets Christianity and everything in between because they have honed their sales pitch, and on initial inspection, they appear to have removed a lot of the HR/ Two House buzz words. But it does come out as they expound their various heresies. Oh the tangled web they weave. 5068

Quote:We find that continuously examining the Scriptures (in the same Hebraic first century context and perspective in which they were written and understood) reveals to His people much more understanding, as opposed to the more common Greek mindset that is a couple thousand years removed...Through the leading and teaching of the Spirit we aim to bring 100% pure truth to all nations, teaching them to obey everything He commanded...
119ministries.com/about-us-contact-us

Same old Hebrew roots, must have hebraic mindset not Greek mindset, as they have always spewed. Sign0164
See The Spreading Hebrew Roots Series > http://www.seekgod.ca/spreadingroots.htm; also Hebrew Roots/Hebraic Roots/Messianic > http://www.seekgod.ca/topichr.htm

As if the Holy Spirit was dependent on these characters to bring in some 'new revelation' because no one else could possibly understand the Scriptures without them. 5522
What do the Scriptures say:

1Jn 2:26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
1Jn 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

1Jn 2:28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
1Jn 2:29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

1Co 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
1Co 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
1Co 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
1Co 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

1Co 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1Co 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
1Co 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

As usual, not a Jew amongst them, LOL.

On a serious note....I am shocked at how many Messianics speak against churches and non-Messianic Christianity.
Some have gone so far as to say that non-Messies are not "saved" unless they follow Torah. It's really something
that should be spread and known amongst mainstream Christian churches, many of which open their doors to allow
Messie meetings and speakers in.
