New King James Bible,
Spirit-Filled
Life,
Edition
The Spirit-Filled Life New
King James Edition is a Study Bible which was previously
translated in 1982. However, the preface of the original NKJB
states that the texts which were used were not just from the
Majority Texts but also from the
twenty-sixth edition of the Nestle-Aland Greek New Testament
and the United Bible Societies’ Third Edition. In the
article, Jacob
Prasch and The Jerusalem School of Synoptic Research/ JSSR,
one reads that the Nestle/Aland version and the United Bible
Societies were a continuation of the Westcott and Hort heresy. See:

Regarding the New
King James Version
~ Thomas Nelson
Publishers, 1991 :
"Commissioned in 1975
by Thomas Nelson Publishers, 130 respected Bible scholars,
church leaders, and lay Christians worked for seven years to
create a completely new, modern translation of Scripture,
yet one that would retain the purity and stylistic beauty of
the original King James. With unyielding faithfulness to the
original Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic texts, the translators
applied the most recent research in archaeology,
linguistics, and textual studies."
Update: 2007>Please note
that a few people have stated the following:
"The argument against corrupted
text is one that is very close to my heart. I have heard the
argument that NKJV is based on Westcott and Hort or the NU as
it is also called and I have seen no evidence of this. They
do list it in the side reference, as well as being the
first to include the Majority Text readings. While this
may be distracting, it does not label either as the
"best" or the "oldest". "
Another wrote: "...if you read the introduction
the NT is actually translated from the TR (like the KJV) while
the footnotes indicate NA readings, as well as Byzantine
readings. This way people who read this or that Bible are able
to see why they're different (for differences which are caused
by the underlying text used). ..."
According to the Preface and information from
NKJV and Thomas Nelson, Inc.:
The NKJV revisers followed the essentially
literal method of translation used in the original King James
Version, which the NKJV Preface calls "complete equivalence."
Regarding the Old Testament>The Masoretes preserved the
Scriptures for five hundred years in a form known as the
Masoretic Text. The Masoretes, led by the family of ben Asher
continued the legacy of the earlier scribes. The ben Asher text,
by the twelfth century, was the only recognized form of the
Hebrew Scriptures. The 1967/1977 Stuttgart edition of the Biblia
Hebraica, while also sourcing the Daniel Bomberg edition of
1524-25, were used as well as The Septuagint (Greek) Version of
the Old Testament and the Latin Vulgate for the Old Testament.
The King James New Testament was based on the
Textus receptus which was first published in 1516, was also
called the Received Text. "In the late nineteenth century, B.
Westcott and F. Hort taught that this text had been officially
edited by the fourth-century church, but a total lack of
historical evidence for this event has forced a revision of the
theory. It is now widely held that the Byzantine Text that
largely supports the Textus Receptus has as much right as the
Alexandrian or any other tradition to be weighed in determining
the text of the New Testament."
Regarding contemporary translations, most have
relied on a few manuscripts found in the late 19th and early
20th centuries. These translations have depended on Codex
Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus which are older. The Greek
translation of these manuscripts, including related papyri,
is what the Alexandrian Text are based upon. Since the Vaticanus
and Sinaiticus disagree with each other in many points, some are
rejecting them as a sound source.
Most new versions and and contemporary
translators have followed "a Critical Text"," which depends
heavily upon the Alexandrian type of text." However, many have
begun to abandon the Critical Text in favor of the Majority
Text. The NKJB sourced both the Critical and Majority texts and
showed the variations in the footnotes. According to the
publisher, "fully eighty-five percent" of the NT text is the
same as the Textus Receptus, the Alexandrian and the Majority
Texts. The footnotes state the differing passages and also
appear to objectively state the source of the variations.
They note the variations as coming from NU-Text, meaning from
the Alexandrian or Egyptian text, sourced from the Critical
Text. That was published by the United Bible Society and known
as the Nestle-Aland Greek NT (26th edition). The M-Text shows
variations from the Majority or traditional text.
In other words, the NKJB sourced all available
manuscripts and while trying to adhere to the original meanings
of the KJB, it provided variations which should be noted and
evaluated based on the source of the variations. > end update

The Spirit-Filled
Life® Bible
~ Jack W. Hayford, General Editor
~
"CHARISMATIC—Nelson
Bibles has a wide variety of Bible products with the Spirit-filled,
Charismatic believer in mind. We're dedicated to
providing you with the Scriptural integrity you need and the
spiritual nourishment you desire."
" A Personal
Study Bible Unveiling All God's Fullness In All God's Word
"
New King James
Version
~
"In
the decade since Dr. Jack Hayford set out to develop a Bible expressly
for Spirit-filled believers, the Spirit-Filled Life®
Bible has become the standard for balanced scholarship in the
Pentecostal/Charismatic tradition.
"
"Its
many unique study features, developed under the leadership of
Pastor Jack Hayford, encourage practical life application of
Bible truth."
You'll
find all of the unique features that have made the
Spirit-Filled Life® Bible so useful for Christian growth and
living: Kingdom Dynamics studies highlight fifteen major
themes that are chained throughout the Bible; Word Wealth
provides more than 500 Greek and Hebrew word studies, shedding
light on key passages; Truth-in-Action Charts help readers
apply important Bible teachings to everyday life. Also
included are enlightening book introductions and outlines,
Spirit-Filled Life® annotations, a concordance, and
full-color maps.
"
The statements,
"expressly for Spirit Filled believers" and "Spirit-filled,
Charismatic believer" suggests that unless one is a
pentecostal/charismatic, one does not have the Holy Spirit,
which would be a false teaching.
SEE: Sins of
“the father” ~ Charles F. Parham.
1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
Romans 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Jack Hayford is the
hyper-charismatic pastor and founder of The Church on The Way
[Foursquare] and President and Founder of The King’s
Seminary in Van Nuys, California.
Pat
Boone [CNP]
is an elder in Hayford's church, and Trinity
Broadcasting Network's (TBN) heretical founders, Paul and Jan
Crouch, are members.
According to one researcher,
"Evidence abounds of
Hayford's hyper-charismatic, ecumenical, and occultic
tendencies: (Reported in the 11/1/89 and 9/15/91, Calvary
Contenders; and the 12/91, CIB Bulletin.)
(a) Hayford spoke at the
1989
Billy
Graham/Lausanne II conference (with
John
Wimber, David
Yonggi Cho, and
Dick
Eastman), and has appeared at other ecumenical events
such as Robert
Schuller "success" conferences. [Hayford also
endorsed Schuller's 1996 autobiography -- Prayer: My
Soul's Adventure With God.]
(b) In 10/91, Hayford visited Sydney, Australia with John
Wimber (the "signs & wonders," Church
Growth, Power Evangelism, Vineyard Movement founder and
leader who died in 1997) to hold a "holiness
conference" (a number of Catholic priests also spoke at
the conference).
(c) In the 10/91 issue of Charisma magazine,
Hayford relates a vision of seeing Jesus seated in heaven
and then rising from the throne. Hayford states: "As
the anointing caught in the folds of His garments, it began
to splash out and fall over the church." Jesus then
supposedly said, "I am beginning to rise now in
preparation for my second coming. Those who will rise with
me will share in this double portion of anointing."
(d) Hayford praised Richard
Foster for his efforts in bringing together all the streams
of the church. (Foster is the head of Renovaré, an
international ecumenical organization that espouses the use
of guided
imagery and visualization as means of obtaining
"personal spiritual renewal.") [BDM:

Charismatic Bible Ministries
(CBM), now called International
Charismatic Bible Ministries, (ICBM)
was founded in 1986 by hyper-charismatic Oral Roberts. The
original officers
and trustees were: Oral Roberts* -Chairman; Ken
Copeland* -Secretary; Jack Hayford* - Vice
Chairman; Billy Joe Dougherty* - Treasurer; Paul
Yonggi Cho—International Honorary Chairman; Executive
Committee Members: Charles Green, Marilyn Hickey, Karl Strader.
Others members included such hyper-charismatics as Richard
Roberts, Kenneth Copeland, David Yonggi Cho, Charles Capps,
Morris Cerullo, Paul Crouch, Kenneth Hagin, Benny Hinn,
Charles and Frances Hunter, Robert Tilton, Casey Treat, John
Osteen, Earl Paulk, Fred K.C. Price, Tommy Reid, Stephen
Strang, and Lester Sumrall. CBM conducts leadership
conferences for its charismatic coalition, many of whom
espouse dominion theology tenets. CBM's slogan is "Love
and Unity through Signs and Wonders." When people look to
signs and wonders to produce love and unity, they will find
themselves united with everything that appears miraculous
regardless of the source. (Vengeance is Ours, pp.
125-127).

James
1: 16-18
Do
not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every
perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father
of lights, with whom there is no variableness, neither
shadow of turning. Of His own will begat He us with His word
of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of His
creatures.

God will not
contradict His own statements. There was a deliberate plan to
corrupt versions of the Bible--where some of the translators were
occultists and involved in various deceptions or compromise.
His Word is Truth and those who utilize newer translations are
embracing the deliberate falsifying of that Truth. His
Word is not corrupt or from the occult.
Psalm 12: 6-7
The words of the Lord are
pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified
seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord, thou shalt preserve
them [i.e. every one of them] from this generation for ever.
Those who embrace the false
teachings within the corrupt versions are being deceived into
following a false gospel. The evidence of that is throughout
these articles.
1 Peter 1: 23
Being born again, not of
corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God,
which liveth and abideth for ever.
