As nonsensical as this next section seems, it must be addressed. Moshe Koniuchowsky has made a huge fuss about his name being Moshe not Marshall. He has stated that he was "forced" to use Marshall before he began his ministry. Odd. We see while in his "ministry" that he wrote a book under his name "Marshall", in 1992/1993. We also see him promoting himself as Marshall after 1996, when he founded Your Arms to Israel. From the bookfinder site.

Originally, teshuva.com was the launching for A.T.O.M. --Association of Torah-Observant Messianics, which housed the teshuva.com/yati website--that is, Koniuchowsky's Your Arms to Israel (YATI) website and also promoted James Trimm's Nazarene.net writings. The www.teshuva.com is the website of the Yeshayahu [Steve] Heiliczer, who was formerly on James Trimm's Beit Din. He has returned to Orthodox Judaism, rejecting Jesus Christ. He states,

In fact, in defense of his name, Moshe, Koniuchowsky posted his birth certificate to his website, with the given name. The name on it is not Moshe, but Maushe Joseph Koniuchowsky. The certificate was issued 08/32/1995. Further, it states he was born in Manhattan, with his mothers name, Hanah Fulton and father, Leiba Koniuchowsky. 13

Koniuchowsky went so far as to have his friends and co-workers make declarative statements about his name really being Moshe, not Marshall. The gist of the basis for the statements was that there was nothing to gain by these friends declaring the Moshe name information as true, although each is a member of YATI leadership. On the "official" statements that Marshall's name was Moshe, "Eyewitness Testimony" from Yochanan Mascaro:

The only problem is, well, in Samtur's declaration about the validity of Koniuchowsky's name...he spelt Koniuchowski with an " i " instead of a "Y",  which suggests he's perhaps confused over the spelling of the last name, not just the first. 

It seems there are variations not just with Koniuchowsky's first name, but with his last name, which seems to also vary per occasion, as shown in a Google search.

Marshall posted the "sworn statements" that the name on his drivers license was Moshe, rather...it is apparently now M J Koniuchowsky.

This writer is convinced that since Marshall published books under the name of Marshall Koniuchowsky as late as 1997 and was in ministry under the name of Marshall, the "M" could stand for Marshall. Let's do a comparison, simply because there seems to be a question as to whether "M" could stand for Marshall and Moshe. M> Marshall. M> Moshe. M > Maushe.... 

There is also a more serious issue and that is that Marshall Koniuchowsky has used said driver's license as proof that his legal name is Marshall Koniuchowsky, as shown in Florida legal documents, i.e. Miami-Dade County Clerk Public Records. ["http://www.miami-dadeclerk.com/public-records/]

Records from 1992 and 1995 show that mortgages were written with the legal name of Marshall Koniuchowsky, not Moshe as claimed. For example:

...3. Moshe Yoseph Koniuchowsky was born the 10 day of September, A.D. 1957. My birth name is "Maushe Joseph Koniuchowsky." Said name is pronounced the same as Moshe, but because my father wanted Moshe and my mother wanted Michael or Mitchell or something similar they compromised on the spelling. Therefore, my parents left my birth name (as listed on my Birth Certificate) as "Maushe."

However, Maushe is pronounced the same as Moshe. Therefore, I use the initials "MJ" on licenses and other legal matters so I do not have to explain why it is spelled Maushe Joseph instead of Moshe Yoseph.

4. I have used the name of Marshall in previous work in the commercial arena after college. I also used the same name Marshall as a Baptist Pastor and was known as "Pastor Marshall." I took that name because Jewish believers in Yeshua HaMashiach (a.k.a. Jesus Christ) were looked down upon. I no longer use the name Marshall.

5. I am generating this document due to the fact that people attack me and/or bring up false charges that my name is really Marshall and not Moshe, and that I am somehow intentionally deceiving people. I deny such an allegation.

6. In the near future I intend to settle this matter once and for all through a formal name change court action in County Court held in Broward County. My name is and shall be legal acknowledged as Moshe Yoseph Koniuchowsky.

From the Biography at YATI and combining it with the 2House.org bio of Marshall Moshe Koniuchowsky, which does not mention his being a Baptist Minister named Pastor Marshall, we see the following events. According to Marshall's wife, supplied via another documented source, when Koniuchowsky, "got saved he was in a Baptist church," and "He was originally ordained as a minister and then later on as a Messianic Rabbi." Unfortunately those details are omitted in the various biographies.

Note: Since posting the various articles, the name of Union of Two House Messianic Congregations has been changed to : Union Of Nazarene Yisraelite Congregations, as of  October 26, 2003

According to Koniuchowsky's biographies, he founded Messiah is God Fellowship in 1984. In 1993 he joined the Association Of Evangelical Congregations, which is based in Minnesota, and was appointed the Cluster Leader for the state of Florida. "Messiah is God Ministries" became "Messiah Is God Messianic Fellowships."  He now refers to it as "Messiah is God (sic) Ministries."

Alan Langstaff, Harvest Network Int'l Apostolic Overseer, which is also A.E.C., and which does dispense ordinations to individuals after verifying educational backgrounds, via email correspondence stated: 

Where Koniuchowsky declares in his Union of Two House information, "The UOTHMC remains the only known True Name FULLY Torah observant affiliation in the world." 

I suppose that would depend on what one's definition of being "FULLY" Torah observant is. And what constitutes Biblical obedience. Evidently, in the case of those in these articles, the two concepts are far removed from one another. As is the True Name removed from their knowledge.

Patriot University

It's noteworthy that when this writer first read his Biography on his website, it clearly stated that Koniuchowsky obtained a "Masters in Bible Missions in an extension program through Patriot University, a fully accredited Bible school in Colorado Springs, Colorado." That information has been changed, depending which biography one reads. Some refer to Marshall as "Dr. Koniuchowsky," although it's not clear to this writer if he refers to himself as such, or it is implied by being called "Rabbi."

Although discussed previously, it's incredible that besides being a diploma mill, Patriot University denies they have or need secular accreditation, although Koniuchowsky states they are fully accredited. From their website:

In their admission policies, Patriot University now states, 

"...Patriot University is recognized by the State of Colorado to grant religious degrees and is accredited by the American Accrediting Association of Theological Institutions. This accreditation is through a Christian agency, which recognizes high standards of Biblical and academic training. It is not to be confused with regional accreditation that deals with secular programs and standards..." 17

Regarding accreditation, via Cecil Johnson's accreditation mill:

...Q. What is the purpose of private, non-secular Christian accrediting associations or agencies?

A. (1) They provide and set educational standards to promote quality education among Bible colleges, seminaries, universities, and institutes, etc. (2) They provide an alternative accreditation, which does not seek secular educational standards, philosophies or approval. They are not required—nor do they desire—to be recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). (3) They promote and encourage the transfer of credits among the schools accredited by their organization. (4) They seek unity and fellowship among post-secondary Christian institutions.

Their course description states, "Graduate courses are for students who are seeking a Master of Arts (MA) or Doctor of Ministry (DMin) degree..." 19 

"Graduate Course Descriptions

Each course for students in Master of Arts or Doctor of Ministry programs offers three credits, and is designed to be completed within 3-6 weeks. In addition to the following, some undergraduate subjects may also be available as graduate courses upon request..."

Their "graduate course description" includes 7 courses on the Old Testament, 8 courses on the New Testament, 5 courses on Theology, 2 courses on Biblical Languages [both Greek], 2 courses on Pastoral Ministries, 6 courses on Christian Counseling, 5 courses on Science and History {new} and 2 courses on English. 4 courses are offered under the heading of "Education," with one of those being a set of audio tapes about the "Christian World View." 20 

"Formerly affiliated with Hilltop Baptist Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Patriot University is accredited only by the American Accrediting Association of Theological Institutions, an accreditation mill that provides accreditation for a $100 charge. Patriot University has moved to Alamosa, Colorado and continues to offer correspondence courses for $15 to $32 per credit. The school's catalog contains course descriptions but no listing of the school's faculty or their credentials. Name it and Frame It lists Patriot University as a degree mill." 21.

"PU was formerly in Colorado Springs CO, but is now in Alamos CO, in a house near the College Heights Baptist Church. The street address ["External Studies Department Bulletin," Fall 1997] is the residential address of PU´s Executive Director of External Studies, Dr Lonnie Skinner (http://www.anywho.com.) The Bulletin indicates how a university could simply relocate to another town: There is no faculty, and credit is offered for "life experience and ministry evaluation". The courses, workbooks, audiotapes, and videotapes can be completed in 2-4 weeks. Tuition is a voluntary, monthly "freewill offering". The only graduate science course is "SC 701 - Biblical Basis of Modern Science". The DMin is offered in Biblical Studies, Pastoral Studies, Evangelism and Missions, Christian Education, and Christian Counseling." 22.

"Accreditation mills have only one purpose: to communicate an air of credibility to degree mills. Witness, for example, the claims of the American Accrediting Association of Theological Institutions, Inc., of Rocky Mount, North Carolina, which charges degree mills only a $100.00 application fee and a $75.00 annual renewal fee to gain their "accreditation." The president of A.A.A.T.I. is Cecil Johnson ("D.D., D.R.E., Lit.D., Th.D., Ph.D."), who is also the president of Christian Bible College in Rocky Mount (a degree mill listed in Chapter 12). Johnson proclaims in his association's marketing letter:

After your school is accredited by A.A.A.T.I. for anyone who wishes to check on your status please have them call [our number] daily between 10 & 12 noon. We prefer to talk with individual [sic] personally rather than write to them. Please do not give our address to any individual, only other schools who are interested in being accredited. Accreditation is between the school and the association . . 
        The basic information we give out is that your school is in good standing with A.A.A.T.I. We do not recommend any school, only lend credibility to those accredited by A.A.A.T.I.

        Think about the ramifications in Johnson's pitch. They will "lend credibility" to any school that pays their $100.00 application fee, but they will only do so by phone - they won't put it in writing. They don't want their address (which is the same address as Johnson's degree mill) given out to anyone except other degree mills seeking their alleged accreditation..."

Restoration Scriptures True Name Edition Or RSTNE

Moshe Koniuchowsky or Marshall Koniuchowsky is currently offering his own Bible version called, The Restoration Scriptures True Name Edition. It is in fact filled with Two House theology and many refer to it as Two House Scriptures. It's noteworthy that the Latter Day Saints (LDS and RLDS) refer to the Book of Mormon as the Restoration Scriptures, with their focus being The Restoration Gospel with their Joseph Smith history referred to as their Restoration history, and their bookstore for all Restoration aka Mormon writings available at the Restoration Bookstore.

We can assume that the united translation skills of YATI staff and perhaps even Tom Mitchell and Ed Nydle and Andrew Roth may have been utilized for The Restoration Scriptures True Name Edition (RSTNE). Some thoughts about this 'translation' were posted to a popular messianic forum:

Just when we thought there would be nothing "new", and the word "plagarism" was thought to be the the final chapter, we now have another "new" version.

1]From the first word: Timothy correctly rendered in it's transliterated form is TimOtheous not Timtheous.

2] If you put the vowel pointings from the Masoretic text under the Hebrew Name of the Messiah, which they have as Yod-Hey-Vav-Shin-Ayin, it will be pronounced Yehoshua not Yahshua as the "translator" pronounces it.

3] The usage of the Yiddish "bubbe" for grandmother instead of the Hebrew word savta, which can not be found in a Biblical Hebrew lexicon.

4] Eunike, Phugellos, Hermogenes, Onesiphoros, and the incorrect rendering of Timothy [Timtheous] are Greek words. What happened to the attitude that all things 'hellenistic' were pagan? [Hebrew chauvinism]

5] Romiyah is neither Hebrew or Greek, and possibly could have come by direct "revelation". There is a Hebrew word that is close to it, and since all of the TOGT can say that Jesus and zeus are the same, I think that I will use this word to express my final feelings in closing this review:

Comment: I wonder what Moshe's scholarly notes will be like? Moshe made the comment the other day that he was working 16 hours a day to finish up his new version - maybe he should ease up and take a couple of hebrew and greek classes - might make his "translating" go faster

A member of one Messianic forum, issued this response after the following statement by Marshall Koniuchowsky was posted to the internet:

"This is why TRUE BELIEVERS who do not want to identify with the mockers of our Messiah, REFUSE AND SHOULD REFUSE THE BLASPHEMOUS TALMUDIC MONIKER OF YESHU OR YESHUA. It is not the Aramaic contraction it is the devil's contraction and the name of mockery TO THIS DAY by unbelieving Judah!"

The members response read as follows:

First of all, I think that Marshall needs to go back to the lexicon that he used to do his "translation" with, the same lexicon that did not list the Hebrew word for grandmother [savta] so he had to substitute bubbe [yiddish] instead, and type in the numbers #3442 / #3443 and he will be suprised to find that the Name Yeshua, is in fact a Hebrew Biblical name, a short form of Yehoshua.[ Yehowah is salvation] Did the devil add that same "contraction" to the Inspired Word of God as well? So much for scholarship. Maybe Marshall should examine the meaning of the Hebrew term b'Shem, and he may find out that it is not about a name, as much as it is about your actions in representing the name as in likeness and character, because in that
area, he is falling short.
