The MJAA states, "(MJAA) is the largest association of Messianic Jewish believers in Yeshua (Jesus) in the world." Dan Juster has just recently published a statement after meeting with Monte Judah and Eddie Chumney. Monte Judah, who in the past has promoted false prophecy, is also a promoter of  Two House Theology, as is Chumney. Both have been  speakers at Moshe Koniuchowsky's Your Arms to Israel (YATI) conferences, or the Wooten's Messianic Israel conferences. For example:

Eddie Chumney promotes the Jerusalem School of Synoptic Research, the Chabad Lubavitch and their kabbalistic teachings, which is mentioned in connection with David Hall and Michael Rood and Moshe Koniuchowsky. Chumney also promotes the writings of Menachem Schneerson, Yair Davidy's Brit Am, Lost Tribes, and so on. Daniel Juster initially co-wrote the MJAA's position paper on the "Ephraimite Error", or Two House theology, which includes mention of not only the supposed fringe, but people advocated by "Mainstream" Messianics, such as David Hargis, well discussed in the various Seek God articles. 

It should be noted that Marshall Moshe Koniuchowsky, is stated in the MJAA article as being in leadership of the Messianic Israel Alliance (MIA). He initially was, but is no longer part of that group. He and the Wootens parted company. From the MJAA position papers:

"A movement alternately known as the "Ephraimite," "Restoration of Israel," "Two-Covenant Israel," or "Two House" movement has recently gained ground in some areas among ardent Christian Zionists. Proponents of this movement contend that members of the "born-again" segment of the Christian church are, in fact, actual blood descendants of the biblical Israelites who were dispersed as a result of the Assyrian invasion of the ancient kingdom of Israel in 722 B.C.E.1

The movement's proponents further argue that these dispersed "Israelites," or "Ephraimites," whose identities have remained undisclosed even to themselves until recent times, primarily settled in areas now recognized as largely populated by Anglo-Saxons. At times they argue that all Anglo-Saxons, and even all of humanity, are descended from these lost Ephraimites. At other times, that only born-again Christians can claim descent. In either case, Christians from Anglo-Saxon lands, such as Great Britain, Australia, Canada, and the United States, can feel assured that they are most likely direct blood descendants of the ancient people of Ephraim.

It is now incumbent upon these members of "Ephraim," they argue, to "accept their birthright" and live as members of Israel.2 They urge Gentile Christians to keep the Torah3 in obedience to the Hebrew scriptures, to strive to re-educate Jews and other Christians about their new, "latter-day prophecy," and to work toward the repatriation of the land of Israel by their own number.

Primary among the movement's spokespersons are Batya and Angus Wootten and Marshall, a.k.a. Moshe, Koniuchowsky. The Woottens publish a newsletter entitled the House of David Herald, as well as several books. Batya's books include In Search of Israel, The Star of David, The Olive Tree of Israel, and Who Is Israel? And Why You Need to Know. Angus' books include Take Two Tablets Daily, A Survey of the Ten Commandments and 613 Laws that God Gave Moses and The Messianic Vision. Other names mentioned by Wootten are Brian Hennessy and David Hargis. Ed Chumney has written a book entitled The Bride of Christ, which I was unable to review.4 Among the Woottens, I will deal only with Batya's writings.

Moshe Koniuchowsky leads a ministry called "Your Arms to Israel." In addition, he has recently formed an organization named "The Messianic Israel Alliance," which, despite its misleading name, has no affiliation with or endorsement by the International Messianic Jewish Alliance or any of its affiliates. The movement is growing to the point that it now has some areas of overlap with the Christian Zionist movement as well as the Messianic Jewish movement. As a result of this, there are several spokespersons in both these groups who advance this teaching while maintaining primary affiliation either as Christian Zionists or as Messianic Jews..." 1

Due to the split of Moshe Koniuchowsky and the Wootens, aside from his YATI organization, Marshall Koniuchowsky launched the Union of Two House Congregations. We've already 'met' board member Tom Mitchell, in the article, Tom Mitchell, Board member of Union of Two House Messianic Congregations, Responds. Besides Mitchell and Koniuchowsky, the other board member is Ed Nydle. Just to be clear, there are Two House believers outside the beliefs of the Union of Two House Congregations, who uphold the tenets of the Gospel, reject kabbalah and believe in the Deity of Christ, and so on. 

Taking a brief look at Ed Nydle's teachings and website, reveals a deep promotion of kabbalistic teachings, kabbalah websites, including the Chabad Lubavitch and quite frankly some of the most blatantly wicked writings this writer has read in quite some time. 

From denigrating the Name of Jesus Christ to such wickedness that can hardly be related, and is found in his articles such as his two part series, "Was Satan/Helel/Venus "Married" to Yahweh? (2) ",  and  "Was Satan/Hillel/Asherath "Married" to Yahweh Pt 2  (3)  

"Rabbi's" Ed Nydle, Koniuchowsky and others apparently believe that the answer to that question is yes. In part 2, Nydle quotes his 'brother in arms', Koniuchowsky and also Eddie Chumney and states, 

"...Let me quote from a recent e-mail listing the NEW tape series from Rabbi Moshe Koniuchowsky dated Tuesday July 18, 2000: B-8-YAHWEH’S FALLEN BRIDE!...." 

Nydle goes on and states, "The purpose was to show you that the idea of Ashterah/Lucifer/Hillel being Yahweh’s consort is NOT a NEW concept or teaching,...Brother Eddie Chumney also hints at this idea in his book "Who is the Bride of Christ"...." 4

Ed Nydle also wrote, which is the common theology of those within the Union, in his article, "Who is the "Abomination that makes Desolate?" By Rabbi Edward "Levi" Nydle"

"....The answer to the question who is the abomination is: Satan/Hillel/Ashtorah/Zeus/Baal-zebul/Tammuz/SHIQQUS (BAAL) SHAMEN-LORD of HEAVEN or OIL= IESOUS (Jesus)! The above is Leadership of the Union of Two House Congregations which is openly anti- Christian, against the Name and person of Jesus Christ and pro-sacred name movement. They are speculating and speaking about things concerning God that they have no knowledge of, including sourcing the prophecies in Daniel and Revelation for their speculation. That is adding to the Words of God and forbidden by God Himself through the very Torah they say they honor. 

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Revelation 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

It should be noted that the Two House theology or British Israelism in it's varied forms, Lost Tribes, etc., is discussed in such articles as: A Little Identity Crisis ~ British Israelism; The British Israel /Christian Identity Connection, etc. 

Two House theology of Judah and the Ephraimites was for many years also taught by Herbert W. Armstrong and the World Wide Church of God. He sourced J.H. Allan amongst others. It is not 'new' theology. There are 'two houses' in this world that matter. Those who love Jesus Christ and those who reject Him, and that is what people should be focused on. 

Lost Tribes proponent, Yair Davidy, openly rejects the Deity of Jesus Christ. Yet, we find many Two House leadership and members seeking out his conferences. He's also promoted by kabbalists such as James Trimm. Many Two House proponents are actually using Trimm's and other kabbalist writings, while speaking against kabbalah. They apparently are not aware that, for example, his teaching on PaRDeS, is actually from the kabbalah, as is the use of gematria. Some embrace the theology of "Greater and Lesser," and so on, and also refer to "Hamashiach ben Yosef," meaning Messiah was the son of Joseph. That statement is sometimes used as an attempt to eliminate the Deity of Christ. He was not the son of Joseph. He was the Son of God and in worldly terms, stepson of Joseph. Jesus Christ was God come in the flesh. 

One can't say they are against kabbalah while teaching it's various theology. One can't have it both ways. 

James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

It should be pointed out that there are sincere believers in Yeshua in the 'fringe' Two House movement as with the "mainstream", who clearly stand in defense of the Deity of Jesus Christ, the blood atonement, and other very necessary foundational issues. In fact many, because of the groups they are moving in, have readily stood against the denigration of the Name of Jesus Christ, which is a major movement within the Messianic movement itself, and also the kabbalah, and have stood for the inspiration of the Greek
New Testament. Just as in the Christian community, the issue becomes about Christ, Biblical obedience and sound doctrine. If doctrine is not Biblically sound, it needs to be corrected or rejected. 

Daniel Juster has also written an endorsement for false prophet, Jim Searcy, in his book, Great Joy.

This 368 page book will clear up the confusion of the many unbiblical teachings concerning the end times. Understanding the scriptures regarding the Great Tribulation removes fear and produces Great Joy.

Aside from his many false prophecies, in May 2002, Stair was arrested and charged with two counts of breach of trust, two counts of criminal sexual conduct, unlawful burying of a body without notice or inquiry and failure to get authorization for the removal of a dead body. The criminal sexual conduct charges included complaints of at least 70 incidents. [Press and Standard, May, June, July 2002, various dates] "Stair has also been confronted with allegations of neglect from family members of a recently deceased follower Stan Bean, 27. Though an autopsy revealed Bean's cause of death to be from a cerebral herniation, his father says his son could have been saved with proper medical care. The Overcomer Ministry does not use the services of medical doctors." [Press and Standard, July 16, 2002]

This writer was told in August 2003, that I didn't know the "real" Messianic leadership, although I have written about the whole spectrum in the past, including the MJAA, and that I should go find some good links and sources via the http://www.hebroots.org/. Brad Young, Marvin Wilson, Dwight Pryor, Richard Booker and Ron Mosely are all interesting writers, some are more orthodox "Christian" in theology (Booker), some more nuanced, but it is not fair to any of them to weigh their views by concentrating on, or clumping with, such as Avi Ben Mordechai and James Trimm.

I was told to go to http://www.hebroots.org as a good source ---  Eddie Chumney's site, and yet it was stated previously from that same Forum, that Two House teaching is fringe Messianism, which most Messianics reject. So it is indeed curious to see people acceptable by 'Mainstream" Messianics, listed in what is viewed as this writer's needed resource- http://www.hebroots.org , under Chumney's -"HEBRAIC / JEWISH ROOTS CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES." 

We see, Brad Young, Marvin Wilson, Dwight Pryor, Richard Booker and Ron Moseley, alongside what is called the fringe messianism of Monte Judah, Koniuchowsky, FFOZ, James Trimm's SANJ, etc. 

From Two House advocate Monte Judah's Lion and Lamb site, examples of the links he advocates, we see David Hargis's MBI listed, as well as Don Doherty, who is on their faculty, a Sacred Name website, and many others. To be listed one had to apply to Monte Judah and be accepted.

Donald Doherty & MBI

Donald Doherty has been involved with the faculty and administration of David Hargis's MBI Yeshiva for several years. And he co-hosts MBI's radio and chat with David Hargis, has been a trustee for MBI Yeshiva and so on. 

This is the David Hargis who I've written numerous articles about, that wrote 'curriculum' for various diploma mills, operated at least 2 diploma mills, gave himself his own doctorate; he and his mother and wife obtained their various degrees via diploma mills, etc. And David Hargis was on the current faculty of  Saint John Chrysostom Theological Seminary with his brother Don Hargis aka Bishop Don De Cordova and other variations, and also with their deceased mother as faculty. That was the 'Seminary that gave James Trimm his 'doctorate' and diploma.

Not only were all three listed as faculty on that facade, but also on their defunct diploma mill called Mountain West Hebrew University. Their involvement in Saint John's goes back to at least 1991, when Don Hargis aka Don de Cordova, David and their mother, Marian Hargis were apparently listed in the supposed 1991 Handbook of the Seminary. That information was supplied by James Trimm. 

1991 was when David Hargis was supposedly ordained a Messianic Rabbi and also started leading the Mishkan HaMelech assembly. Which certainly brings into question how a former AOG pastor could turn Messianic rabbi who provided himself with his own doctorate, while at the same time being  involved in a Catholic seminary. In fact a News Flash was issued on July 6, 2003, which stated the following:

MBI Yeshiva has revamped their Faculty and removed Don B Hargis from the list. Don B. Hargis is actually Bishop Don de Cordova or Bishop Don Bryant Hargis De Cordova or whatever other variation he chooses to use for whatever purpose of deception. However, that attempt does not divert attention from their involvement in at least three other diploma mills, David himself admitting writing the curriculum for the International Bible College and Seminary, where he gave himself his own doctorate. Nor does it negate the illegal and defunct Mountain West Hebrew University, where David, Don and Linda and other MBI faculty were also listed...as well as their  mother Marian who had been deceased since 1999. Nor does it divert attention from the fact of the use of worthless credentials all have claimed for at least 20 years...nor the issuing of those worthless credentials and to not only themselves, but others claiming to be faculty and also some of those who have "chartered" with MBI..."

That is why it is even more interesting that we see Don Doherty having been a forum member on the Baptist Board since 2001, with all appearance of trying to influence unsuspecting and naive Christians who "need" their varied services and teachings. The problem with this first "apologetic" site, is that it's not apologetic at all. It's full of venom and hatred for anyone who does not agree with this woman's theology.

If you are going to defend the faith, then defend it. This site and woman digs into people's personal backgrounds, revels and posts e-mail's of people that dis-agree with her to belittle them in a public forum, and all with the permission of her husband.

The site is actually a gossip site.

As a Messianic Jew, I am involved with one of the ministries mentioned on the site, and have been for well over ten years.

Not once, has this person ever contacted the ministry or those in leadership to discuss anything at all.

Despite the fact that she denies that she is teaching anyone, the fact is just the opposite.

The second site that is mentioned is at least more balanced. I don't have a problem with the fact that they don't agree with Messianic Judaism.

There are offshoots of the movement that I don't agree with either. It's up to me to walk out my own salvation with Yeshua, with fear and trembling, not to gossip and degrade others with an evil speaking tounge.

I enjoy a good apologetic site, but I would suggest that people be discerning of the spirit behind them when visiting.

Interesting that research and reporting facts and trying the spirits are considered gossip. Doherty stated, "As a Messianic Jew, I am involved with one of the ministries mentioned on the site, and have been for well over ten years." That means he's claiming to be Jewish, although the Doherty name is Irish. He's also claiming to be part of the Hargis ventures since at least 1991, since 2001 was when the online bio was made. That was before MBI launched and definitely before the MBI Yeshiva was launched. It would be most interesting to know which other activities Doherty was involved in with the Hargis's, whose claim to fame appears to be family diploma mills. 

When the forum member apparently recognized and exposed who he was, mentioning that Doherty had been written about in many of the articles, Don came back with the thought that "The information on that site is well outdated", and told the Member that the discussion was over. 7 

On the Baptist forum posting, Don seems to take issue with, "posts e-mail's of people that dis-agree with her to belittle them in a public forum". 

One can only assume Doherty is referring to my posting the "Rabbi" Tom Mitchell's emailed venom and my subsequent refuting of the things that were Biblically false, including his assault against the person and Name of Jesus Christ, thereby exposing the fruitless deeds of darkness. Tom Mitchell wrote me  and spewed forth, even though after his first email I asked him not to write again. It can be supposed that name calling and hatred and lack of the fruit of the Spirit, are intended to be kept hidden so the followers don't know what these people are doing in 'secret.' 

Ephesians 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

In his profile on the Baptist forum, Don Doherty lists his personal web site as being: http://www.kol-hashofar.org, which is currently under construction but gives the link > [as of September 15, 2003]

That site has his online biography, quoted above, and we can assume he wants people to know who he is and his connections with the MBI and the Hargis's.

Donald Doherty is also Daniel Doherty. It should be no surprise to find yet another person involved in these organizations using various names.

From David Hargis's MBI site, "MBI Chartered Congregations, Synagogues, Ministries and Schools / Update 01/31/2003", we see that the Mishkan HaMelech congregation is actually David Hargis's congregation.

On one of the various public kol hashofar forums--which is the name of the congregation "Daniel" leads-- which Doherty administrates or moderates, he notes growing up in a traditional Episcopal church with no mention of having Jewish heritage, until much later in life, when he was Jewish and in a Messianic congregation.

Donbam's testimony

"...I grew up in a traditional church background. I was an altar boy and went to an Episcopal church...After I got out in 1980, ... There I met some people that soon became my friends. One Sunday, they went to an Assembly of G-d church and accepted Jesus. During the next week, they told me about it. I had always remembered liking to go to church, so I went. It was a bit unusual coming from a traditional background, but I liked the service. The message was good, and I felt like the pastor knew me. When they gave an altar call, up I went.... " 10

Note---going "up"---is not a declaration of having accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. In fact the following statement is addressed in the parable of the sower....

Matthew 13:18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful...." 

Doherty continues his testimony and states, 

"Unfortunately, it took only a matter of months before my friends and I stopped attending and started going in the opposite direction...At some point in time, my wife found out she was Jewish, on her grandmother's side. We were both getting fed up with church and hearing the same message again and again...At this point, we started looking for a Messianic Jewish congregation where we were now living in Virginia.
...The marriage finally fell apart, with my soon to be ex-wife cursing G-d....I kept going to the congregation... That was over ten years ago. ... Two years ago, I met and married the one I know is my help mate....I now serve as the congregational Shammash (deacon), and hold a Bachelor's of Messianic Studies. I am currently working on my Master's for Messianic Rabbi. I am an ordained Messianic Evangelist and also instruct several courses in the online Yeshiva for Messianic Bureau International...My wife and I are both Jewish believers in Messiah,

I think the use of the Hargis's deceased mother on, not only the MBI Yeshiva faculty, but St John Chrysostom Theological Seminary and one of their other defunct diploma mills, truly shows the character of those involved, although Doherty likely disagrees. 

Trying to discredit the Seek God articles results in promoting the teachings of, for example, a false prophet like Michael Rood, who claims he was a former "Baptist" reverend, but then, left the "Baptist cult." That is really hardly a claim to sound judgment, particularly when posting on a Baptist run forum. In fact, to try to discredit the analysis of a publicly posted ministry and publicly posted "personal" information is unwise. That analysis is very much essential as shown by the very documentation Doherty reviles. 

John 3:19-21

"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
