Restoration Scriptures True Name Edition for some time. It
is also dubbed the RSTNE, or Renewed Covenant Scriptures or
Two House Scriptures because of the Two House theology bias,
and it is published in English and Spanish with a myriad of
inaccurate words either linguistically or to the Word of
God.

It's
noteworthy that the Latter Day Saints (LDS and RLDS) refer to the Book
of Mormon as the Restoration Scriptures, with their focus being The
Restoration Gospel. Their Joseph Smith
history is referred to as their Restoration history, and their bookstore
for all Restoration aka Mormon writings are available at their
Restoration Bookstore.
Believing
himself to be God's anointed prophet, and given a special
vision for this 'version' Koniuchowsky expounded on these
issues even recently in 2005:

The Restoration Scriptures True Name

Some thoughts about this 'translation' were
posted to a popular messianic forum:
Just when
we thought there would be nothing "new", and the word "plagarism"
was thought to be the the final chapter, we now have
another "new" version.
1]From the first word: Timothy correctly rendered in
it's transliterated form is TimOtheous not Timtheous.
2] If you put the vowel pointings from the Masoretic
text under the Hebrew Name of the Messiah, which they
have as Yod-Hey-Vav-Shin-Ayin, it will be pronounced
Yehoshua not Yahshua as the "translator" pronounces it.
3] The usage of the Yiddish "bubbe" for grandmother
instead of the Hebrew word savta, which can not be found
in a Biblical Hebrew lexicon.
4] Eunike, Phugellos, Hermogenes, Onesiphoros, and the
incorrect rendering of Timothy [Timtheous] are Greek
words. What happened to the attitude that all things 'hellenistic'
were pagan? [Hebrew chauvinism]
5] Romiyah is neither Hebrew or Greek, and possibly
could have come by direct "revelation". There is a
Hebrew word that is close to it, and since all of the
TOGT can say that Jesus and zeus are the same, I think
that I will use this word to express my final feelings
in closing this review:

* verse 5 - bubbe? Yiddish. Eunike? google search
revealed Eunike is a German name and is also associated
with the occult and with islam.
* verse 17 - Romiyah - google search turned up only
Islamic usage of this name.
Comment: I wonder what Moshe's scholarly notes will be
like? Moshe made the comment the other day that he was
working 16 hours a day to finish up his new version -
maybe he should ease up and take a couple of hebrew and
greek classes - might make his "translating" go faster

following statement by Marshall Koniuchowsky was posted to
the internet:

why TRUE BELIEVERS who do not want to identify with the
mockers of our Messiah, REFUSE AND SHOULD REFUSE THE
BLASPHEMOUS TALMUDIC MONIKER OF YESHU OR YESHUA. It is
not the Aramaic contraction it is the devil's
contraction and the name of mockery TO THIS DAY by
unbelieving Judah!"
The members
response read as follows:
First of all, I think that Marshall needs to go back to
the lexicon that he used to do his "translation" with,
the same lexicon that did not list the Hebrew word for
grandmother [savta] so he had to substitute bubbe [yiddish]
instead, and type in the numbers #3442 / #3443 and he
will be suprised to find that the Name Yeshua, is in
fact a Hebrew Biblical name, a short form of Yehoshua.[
Yehowah is salvation] Did the devil add that same
"contraction" to the Inspired Word of God as well? So
much for scholarship. Maybe Marshall should examine the
meaning of the Hebrew term b'Shem, and he may find out
that it is not about a name, as much as it is about your
actions in representing the name as in likeness and
character, because in that
area, he is falling short.

The
underlying sourcing of these various writings, like Shem Tob
Matthew, and the ISR appears to be for the purpose of
eliminating Scriptural truth about the Deity of Jesus
Christ, and all that pertains to who He is and what He has

The Shem Tov Matthew or any Hebrew
Matthews, originated in Europe between 1300-1500. Precisely, Shem Tov
or Shem Tob is dated 1380, while DuTillet and Muenster are about
1550. Together they make up the "Middle Ages
Matthews" but, they are very different, and as one
stated, that is one of the ironies.
Shem Tov's
"Matthew", or
Shem Tob's Matthew as some
call it,
which
textual critics
will tell you, is nothing more than an altered medieval
text, which is a corrupt copy of the Latin text, which was
originally copied from the Greek by those who didn't believe
in Christ. Most legitimate textual
critics have all but ignored this middle age manuscript.
The truth is that
uninformed believers are being led by unbelievers to accept
an altered anti-Christian version of Matthew that was
included in the writing titled "Even Bohan" or "The
Touchstone." This document was authored by Shem Tov, an
unbelieving anti-Christian Jewish writer who some have
referred to as a theologian, who resided in Spain
during the
fourteenth century. His
copy of Hebrew Matthew has anti-Christian polemical
commentary by him throughout the text.
The Jewish Encyclopedia states this
about the author of the Even Bohan:
"...As a Talmudic scholar he
carried on a correspondence with Sheshet. At Tarazona he
completed his "Eben Bohan" (May, 1380 or 1385), a
polemical work against baptized Jews..."

which is where Moshe Koniuchowsky claims to have attended,
and in their American Academy for Jewish Research (AAJR) we
see this past dissertation by a Joshua Levy, which was
titled "Sefer Milhamot Hashem, Chapter Eleven: The Earliest
Jewish Critique of the New Testament":

critical edition of one chapter of an early and important
medieval Hebrew polemical text, chapter eleven of Jacob
ben Reuben's Sefer Milhamot Hashem. The critical edition
will be accompanied by a translation and commentary.
Additionally, the dissertation will examine subsequent
Jewish and Christian reactions to this pathbreaking text.
Written by Jacob ben Reuben, a Jew living in southern
France in the late twelfth century, Sefer Milhamot Hashem
is one of the earliest extant Jewish polemical texts.
Sefer Milhamot Hashem, as a whole, presents Christian,
biblically-based arguments for the truth of Christianity
and the subsequent Jewish counterarguments. Chapter

Tov ibn Shaprut, a Spanish Jewish author of the late

The Shem Tov Matthew
"translation" never identifies Jesus as the Messiah, gives
John the Baptist an exalted role, Jesus' role in forgiving
sins is omitted, and Jesus' ability to save all His people
from their sins is also eliminated. It is also written in
this "translation" that preaching the Gospel to the gentiles

Rather than
an actual translation, it appears in the name of 'context' that what
fits the desired passage was determined by
Marshall Koniuchowsky. Unlike
what Koniuchowsky asserts concerning many missing passages, God is more
than able to preserve His Word.
