According to God's Word, in 2 Timothy 3:13-14, we are warned in the following manner: "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them." and, I Thessalonians 5: 12 "And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you."

Warnings such as these give us reason to be aware of and evaluate those who are around us, are in leadership positions and who openly claim to belong to Jesus Christ.

The following questions are being sent to numerous individuals for a Study as to what people believe. The results will most likely be published in a website article. Those who are holding a public ministry may have their statements published with their name and their ministry name on any and all responses. Please include the proper name of your ministry and
URL for that purpose. Those who are in public ministries and do not wish to answer the questions will be recorded as having not responded or failed to respond. Private names/individuals will be withheld unless that individual
desires their name included in a possible quote. 

Realizing that all are very busy, we have endeavored to make this as easy and as least time consuming as possible. Most questions can be answered easily with a Yes or NO answer or Agree or Disagree. Please try to answer in that way wherever possible. Where there are multiple options please delete the ones that do not apply to you. Some questions will not apply, based on your previous answer.

1 Peter 3:15 "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear."

Please consider answering the following:

1. Do you believe that it is a Biblical principal that those in leadership
must be open about what they believe, who they promote and what they endorse
or have been involved in?
2. When asked questions about your ministry, what you believe, who you
promote or endorse or what you have been involved in, would you say you
generally:

a. are open and willing to answer all queries
b. resent being asked questions
c. would rather people went by what you have published in various media
and not ask questions
d. find questions a waste of your time
e. refuse to answer most questions
f. only answer questions from queries of people who are openly supportive
of your ministry.

3. Do you believe in the Trinity (God the Father, God the Son & God
the Holy Spirit)?
4. Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and is God manifest
in the flesh?
4b. Do you believe that there is no other way to the Father than through acceptance of Jesus Christ His Son, who died on the cross for all of mankind?
4c Do you believe a Christian can lose their salvation?
5. Do you believe that upon acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior that the Holy Spirit immediately indwells and remains with all believers and does not leave or forsake them?
6. Do you believe that the Holy Spirit will lead believers into all truth?
7. Do you believe that there has been a cessation of sign gifts of the Holy Spirit, such as tongues?
8. Do you believe that the "gifts" of the Holy Spirit were originally intended for the mutual edification of the Body?
9. Do you believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit were intended for personal edification?
10. Do you believe that the Holy Spirit gives "gifts" today for the edification of the Body, but not "sign gifts"?
10b. Do you believe that the Holy Spirit gives "gifts" today for the edification of the Body, including "sign gifts"?
11. Do you believe in a "private prayer language", -meaning untranslatable and unknown utterances reportedly meaning the Holy Spirit is interceding and speaking through a person?
12. Do you speak in "tongues", either privately or with public use? If yes, Please Specify which.
13. If you speak in tongues, have you made a point of informing the people who are around you of that fact?
14. Are those who follow your ministry made aware that you speak in tongues or are involved in other manifestations, believe in the sign gifts, etc., by having it posted with material about yourself or your ministry?
14b OR  If you believe tongues, etc. having ceased, is that openly stated in your ministry and material?
14c. Do you believe that those who tongues and the sign gifts for today,

a. to be guilty of blaspheming the Holy Spirit
b. are in doctrinal error
c. cannot be a Believer

14e. Do you believe you can work alongside and maintain a "Christian" relationship with those who believe the opposite of you in this area?
15. Do you believe that in order to receive the 'gift of tongues' after accepting Jesus Christ as Savior, one must ask to receive the Holy Spirit?
16. Do you believe in direct revelation from God as a result of that private prayer language or in any other way, meaning extra biblical revelation?
17. Do you believe that in order to enter into a ministry one must ask for and again receive the Holy Spirit in order to be able to exercise the giftings of the Holy Spirit?
18. Do you believe that the Charismatic movement or the Catholic Church or the Catholic charismatic movement, etc., to be a place to receive sound doctrine?
19. Are/were you aware that the purpose of the Charismatic movement was to prepare the general population, including Evangelicals, for acceptance of Pentecostal manifestations?
20. Do you agree or disagree with the above statement?
21. If one has been involved in any of those movements and subsequently rejects those above stated movements, Can those continue to be a root source for sound theology? Meaning, if you reject those movements, can you keep their theology?
22. Do you agree or disagree with the following statements: "God foreordained four major moves for this century. These were: 1.The Pentecostal Movement 2.The Faith-Healing Movement; 3.The Charismatic Movement; 4.The Hebrew Movement. ... the Hebrew or Messianic Movement is the final stage
of empowerment before the Church is "thrust into His glory."
23. If you speak in tongues or have any other "gift" of the Holy Spirit, is it appropriate to keep that information or any other "gift" of the Holy Spirit from other Christians?
24. Do you agree or disagree with the following statements and interpretation of Scripture about tongues? If you disagree, please briefly state why, and if you have articles, website material, etc. discussing your position, please consider including that information.

 I have found tongues today to be based in Scripture. If there were no Scriptural support for this gift of the Holy Spirit, it would never have been allowed to be embraced today.
Paul wrote under the inspiration of God, "I would that you all spake in tongues"; 

"He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself"; 

"I speak in tongues more than you all" -- and other; Scriptures support the use of this spiritual gift. We would never accuse Paul of being  demon-possessed and encouraging demonic activity.

... a Christian who is walking in obedience to the Word of God has no reason to believe that God will give him a demon when he has asked for the Holy Spirit.

To ignore the whole counsel of Scripture on the spiritual gifts and to condemn those who exercise these gifts because certain false prophets abuse them is to blaspheme the Holy Spirit.
It is a serious matter to slander against the Holy Spirit by ascribing His work to Satan.
Regarding the vocal utterance of prayer in an unknown tongue, Paul states the following:

 "For he that "speaketh" in an unknown tongue "speaketh" not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he "speaketh " mysteries . . ." I Cor.14:2

"He that "speaketh" in an unknown tongue edifieth himself . . ." I Cor 14:4
"I would that ye all "spake" with tongues . . ." I Cor. 14:5
"For if I pray in an "unknown" tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding." I Cor. 14:14-15

25. Are you a pentecostal or charismatic church attendee or if not, which denomination are you affiliated with?
26. Does the church you attend endorse tongues openly as a viable "gift"?

John 3: 19-20 "...and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."
